Services
Dr. Varallo made wine in his father's basement from the age of eight. He continued that tradition with his family, making wine in the family basement until the winery was built. The Varallos' children assist with all aspects of the winery, vineyard and wine making, taking the tradition into the third generation.
The grounds are yours to explore. Bring along a glass of your favorite wine to make an experience to remember, or nestle in our Adirondack chair for two and enjoy the private lake. An Italian family operated winery, specializing in three generations of the Varallo family recipes for both wine and food.
Be sure to check out the lake, take pictures and share on social media to have a chance to win a free bottle of wine! Don't forget to tag us! A few Housekeeping details: We welcome you at our registration station upon arrival, where we check ID and give out coins for the tasting. It is currently located outside the tasting room.
Varallo Vineyards is more than a vineyard; it is a destination. The vineyards are uniquely located in the Town of Lockport and are a part of the family's 78 acres (which also includes an 8-acre spring fed lake, unique woods, and the winery). The pea gravel used in the landscape today around the grounds was once mined from the property.

I went to spring garden for lunch. The property was beautiful. We ate outside overlooking the lake. We had a bottle of peach sangria which was nicely chilled. My friends had the ground Turkey bruschetta cheese platter. It had 4 types of cheese and had a good amount of cheese and 6 bruschetta. Easily a nice sharing platter. I had the tomato basil soup which was cold and a bruschetta sandwich which was cold with non melted mozzarella cheese. I would definitely recommend a visit but I would not get the bruschetta sandwich or the soup but would definitely recommend a visit to enjoy a glass of wine

We attended an evening event there and the parking area does not having any lights. I was forced to leave early because I didn't want to be rushed while trying to find my way safely to my car. Also...had to wait in line for each wine tasting and food. Then, wait for the food to be prepared because they ran out. I don't recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues.

We visited the vineyard this afternoon and was met with such a pleasant server, Landon. He was attentive and very knowledgeable. He certainly made us feel at home and definitely made us want to visit again. We had a flight(each wine was exceptional) along with a bourbon/cigar. The vineyard is beautiful and well kept. The chef came out to great us and was just as pleasant, adding to such an exceptional experience. We thank you for a most pleasant afternoon.

The wines were good, the views were great and the service was excellent. We only stopped by for a tasting and enjoyed the wine, the woman serving us was very knowledgeable about the area and wines. She was also extremely friendly. The winery itself was a beautiful setting on a large pond or lake with walking trails out in the woods. Very beautiful setting. I did not try any food but would like to give it a try next time. They also have a full bar for the non wine drinkers in the group. Oh they had cigars too if that's your thing.

Nice place. Very scenics and very relaxing atmosphere. Wines seem to have a little bit for everyone taste buds. Was sad though to find out cafe foods are not fresh made and are out of cans ie. soups. Still tasted good though. If they made their own foods in the Cafe this place would be the greatest ever. And why only 4 stars.

Great atmosphere and great selection of white wine with a side of red. Definitely come on a light breezy day to enjoy some outdoor tasting by their backyard pond. Friendly and very helpful staffs and very spacious to accommodate COVID concerns.
This is a commercial vineyard so they grow and outsource different types of grapes. My favorites were the (red) Cabernet and Syrah, (white) pink minx (Pinot noir) and zia minx (moscato). These were all very light and great for social gathering with friends and family.
They also offer a mix case (12 bottles) discount if you want to buy more to share with

Beautiful grounds, tasty wines and the young man behind the counter was friendly from the minute we walked in the door, greeting us immediately! My friend specifically brought me here because of their selection of drier wines (my fave) as opposed to the excess of sweeter wines in this area and it did not disappoint! Can't wait for the next release of the Bourbon barrel aged wine!

My Bachelorette Party made this our last stop of the day for our wine tours. We had a reservation and they knew we were coming. It was very crowded but everyone had their own place to stay with their groups. We all started at the tasting bar but was moved to a table mid tasting and some of us lost out on finishing our tastings. Also, some of us never got glasses ordered. The view was the best part. It was beautiful and peaceful. To be honest, I want to come back without a large party and try it again. Maybe it will be better.

This is a wonderful venue for wine tasting and having light lunch. We came by with friends on Monday afternoon and it was not very busy. They were very accommodating as to where we could sit under the roof down by the lake or among the trees. There is plenty of shade everywhere. There was a deal on Yelp to get a $30 voucher for $25. A flight of five wines is $10 for the tasting. My wife and I shared a turkey wrap and Caesar salad. Food and wines were very good. An extra bonus if you're a pet lover is that they allow you to bring your dogs! They are open daily from 12 to 6. They said they were

Great venue! Right on a large pond. Covered outdoor area to host any type of event that could accommodate large groups of people.
I can for a wine tasting first and one of the owners showed me around and gave a quick history of the business. I thought this was a personal touch that not many other wineries do. Everyone there was so warm and welcoming.
You can eat lunch (cafe) outside or inside. You can also buy a glass or bottle of wine and walk around.
I have heard there is a "train" you can take that will take you on a trip to view the grapes.
Overall, this winery is a hidden

This place gets better and better. This was our third time...first time was for the train ride, second just a wine tasting and this last visit was for mother's day brunch. All 3 times were wonderful.
The train ride is a great experience. We first went on the train to visit the Medina Train Station (also a great place - and I am not even an enthusiast) Very nostaglic. But once at the winery, we had a chicken dinner while we listened to music. We also walked the grounds on a beautiful fall day. Very peaceful. We even did a wine tasting and bought a bottle to drink while we listened

I loved this winery! It's on the Niagara wine trail and is a must stop. You are able to try 4 wines for $5, not a bad deal. Most of the wines are sweet as most are in the Niagara area.
They also have a cafe menu so you are able to have lunch there.
The best thing is they have wine ice cream! They use their wine and a ice cream from Syracuse and make their own blend. It was so tasty! A must try if you visit this winery.
The winery also sits on a lake and the view is beautiful. A great place to relax with a glass of wine.
You can also have birthday parties or large events at this space

My boyfriend and I purchased a Groupon to go here - $10 for food and wine tasting for two. For the price we weren't expecting too much, but we were happily surprised.
When we arrived we were seated outside by the lake, definitely a great spot for a date.
Our server, who worked in the tasting room told us that we would be getting four wines to try as well as food pairings for each. First came out 2 reds along with turkey sliders and a cheese plate. It was honestly a lot more than we were expecting. The food portions were perfect for two and the wine tastings were generous. Then came out two
