Currently leasing here at Windsor Allegro JLS and loving it. Between the fairly well equipped gym, the very safe and locked garage, and the extremely quick maintenance team, I see myself living here for quite a while!
For example, today I had an issue this morning with the tub not draining. After writing up a work order through the online portal, maintenance (Stan)had responded and came by literally an hour after. Within 10 minutes he had cleared and fixed the issue.
Great, communicative and excellent quick service no complaints here!

Allegro is a nice community, just far enough away from the freeway yet close to JLS and downtown action. Manny does a great job with maintenance, Charlotte was patient as I decided on an apartment and and Lindzi's upbeat and can-do attitude has been extremely helpful as I've had to deal with a couple neighbor issues. Love all the dogs too!

I really do love living here at allegro jack london. The staff they have working are really always on top of their game! If you put in a maintenue request they show up to fix it within a few hours! We are so appreciative of Stan in maintenance in particular, he’s fixed a few things in our apartment so far and every time he is so courteous and fast and clean! He always has his mask on and even cleaned up the small amounts of dust left behind from the job he completed. As women living alone it can be scary having men in your apartment but I feel 100% safe when maintenance men like Stan on staff

I toured about 30 apartments in Oakland and Emeryville before deciding on Allegro. I looked at several apartments in Allegro before deciding on my 2bed/2bath. Lindzi was great throughout my Allegro search. She was patient, nice, and very knowledgeable. I asked many, many questions and she was always ready with a thorough answer. And if she needed to find the answer she always followed up very quickly. My search was during Covid so my tours were self-guided. Lindzi helped make this process as smooth and painless as possible.

We recently joined the Allegro family and could not be happier with our onboarding experience. Lindzi was our leasing consultant and was immediately welcoming and accommodating to our needs. My 2 yr anniversary at Allegro is coming up and I still enjoy living here. Units are spacious and pet-friendly. Angela has been amazing and accommodating with all of the tenants needs. Staff are all very kind and responsive. Location is great. It's a quick walk to downtown, restaurants and bars. I love that a key is needed to access every entrance of the building, I'm very big on safety. Living here has been nothing but pleasant.

I wanted to personally come on here and write about my experience. I walked into the leasing office and was approached by Angela and was given a tour of the multiple units that i was interested in. My husband Hauwei and I stopped by to tour a few weeks ago at Allegro. We wanted to apply for their 2-bedroom but decided not to because our house did not sell and we decided to stay for another year.
We liked their 2-bedroom layout and thought price was reasonable. Our touring experience was great and appreciated how accommodating Lindzsiy was.
We are still in contact with her and appreciate how she is still willing to help us with questions although we won't be leasing there anytime soon because of our circumstances.

I had the pleasure of working with Lindzi today for a live video tour. She was extremely accommodating because I could not schedule the tour for today on the website, and she reached out to assist me with it. She toured me a 1-bedroom and as someone who knows almost nothing about the process to apply for an apartment, she kindly walked me through the steps and explained everything in detail. I plan to apply soon and am very exited for my move! This place seems wonderful with a friendly, helpful staff.

Honestly, the team at Allegro have been amazing! Charlotte (leasing consultant) and the property manager Angela are incredible. The team has been super helpful from the moment I first toured the complex to now - 1 week post move-in. I appreciate the honesty and transparency in the leasing process. No matter what random question I had for them, they ensured I received an answer. Even in the middle of a pandemic, I had such a pleasant experience and I am so glad I call this place home!

Lived here almost two years until we had to move out of state, and enjoyed our time. Everyone we interacted with on the staff was personable, helpful, and responsive. The unit itself was in good condition, and maintenance was quick to repair if something broke. The train might bother some people, but we stopped noticing it after a while; if you're concerned about this, you can ask them about units that are facing away from the train, which seems to help. The buildings are dog friendly which means there are TONS of dogs -- this is a huge plus or a big minus depending on you (or your dog)! The

- Loved the Jack London Square neighborhood. Warehouse district with historic buildings like the American Bag Co. red-brick building preserved a sense of the rich neighborhood history.
- Loved the Sunday farmers market and various food and craft fairs in JLS
- The waterfront and Bay trail were gems that we especially appreciated during lockdown. Walked/ran along there in the evenings for fresh air and to watch the sunset against the Port of Oakland.

Keep on my mind my review is coming from paying prices pre-COVID.
Allegro is not the worse place you could live but given the prices in comparison to some of the other properties within a mile radius it leaves a lot to be desired.
I'll start with the positives. It's in a great location. You're not far from BART, there's a lot of bars and restaurants nearby. You can walk to the water and get great views. The staff is pretty responsive to emails. If you have questions or concerns they will respond in a fairly timely manner.

They love to screw you out of money. From the exorbitant cost of utilities, to the ridiculous rent increase at the time of renewal, this place makes tons of money for its owners by screwing over the tenants. Do not live here.

I've recently moved here from the L.A. area and I'm pretty much in love. My apartment has all the latest stainless steel appliances, the floor plan is very open and airy. So far, all my maintenance request have been met and in a timely manner. The best part are my neighbors in the building have been beyond friendly, talkative and share all the "Best of... " spots in the area.
There are some ughhhh, ehhhhs... on hot days the entrance does have a strong smell of dog urine but I do love all the dogs so it's not that bad. The one thing I was not expecting was the construction
