Abide Yoga
We promote self love and self care, meeting you just where you are, and we invite you to move in the ways that you need to. Your body, mind, and spirit are unique and amazing and you don't need to be a stereotypical "yoga person" to fit in. In addition to live classes (whether on Zoom, in person, or on FB Live), we also have been building up a big library of full length yoga classes on Abide's Youtube channel.

We started the YouTube channel at the beginning of the pandemic in an effort to serve the community with free heartfelt yoga classes. If you'd like to help financially support our efforts, consider making a contribution via Venmo @abidehope, Paypal.me/abideyogacleveland, or through MindBody. Support this community wellness space and your friends / loved ones and help grow our community.
Services
Please note, if you regularly log in to MIndBody to enroll in classes at other studios, you may be directed to their schedule. Simply log out of MindBody to see our schedule and to enroll. Abide Yoga offers classes 7 days a week plus special classes, modules & workshops. Private, semi-private and custom group sessions are available to fit your schedule and your needs!
Abide Yoga offers a variety of classes that emphasize movement or stillness or a little bit of both. Aiming to meet you where you are, our class schedule offers something for everyone. Vinyasa classes link breath with movement and incorporate standing postures, balances, backbends, inversions and renewing forward bends.
When you have anxiety, so much attention and energy goes into managing potential outcomes, and we can become stuck in our heads. Sometimes it feels like life is always sending a wave at us (it is!), and our systems feel ill-equipped to ride those waves. We wouldn't try to control the ocean, but sometimes we think we can control the instability of life itself.
Yoga is a vast practice that can help us humans adapt to and thrive in this always-changing world. Join Hope Hamling, along with a variety of guest teachers to take this journey Abide style. We are not your typical yoga teacher training. We approach our teaching from trauma-informed and social justice oriented perspective, and believe that yoga should be for EVERYONE.
Coming home to yourself is remembering that your inner world is just as important as your physical body. It's rejecting the idea of the ordinary and the routine and instead syncing yourself with your own rhythm. It's a vinyasa class on the days your need to feel strong and a restorative class on the days you need deep rest.

Hope and her team are the best! Years ago, after some negative and competitive experiences, I stepped away from yoga discouraged. In 2019, a friend brought me to this studio, and I’m so grateful she did. Hope, Annie, Danielle, Margaret, and all offer thoughtful and engaging classes each week. The transition to Zoom classes hasn’t left anything missing. I’m still so glad for this resource and to participate in these classes. Thank you all!

I visited this studio for the first time yesterday, and attended Sunday Slow Flow, led by Danielle. It was amazing, and made even more special that it was held outside. I'm excited to explore more classes using their $30 for 3 weeks new student special.

Dropped into three different classes. 3 different instructors. All great music and flow. Such a comfortable place, like being invited to a friend’s house to do a little yoga. Easy parking location. Classes aren’t intense or intimidating so if you want to try yoga or relax a little I’d highly recommend.

If you have not tried a restorative yoga class before, I highly recommend the classes at Abide. The atmosphere is serene and Gwendolyn has a way of speaking that is very warm and calming. It is not a workout type of yoga, but feels like a slower, therapeutic stretch to the muscles that also rests the mind. There is plenty of time to settle into poses and is a unique experience.
I wish I lived closer because I would go all the time!

A warm and welcoming environment located in a old building in the artsy Larchmere community. The decor has a hippie-type and informal vibe to it. Tibetan flags along the width of the room with cloth tapestry wall hangings covering entrance ways. This was my first visit to Abide Yoga. I met the owner, Hope, and found her to be a friendly and caring person. Classes were free all day as this was an Open House for the community. I participated in 2 classes. The first class, a slow flow, was taught by Julia. Julia is sweet and friendly. She gives easy to follow directions and I felt comfortable with

Yoga for all levels of skill, no matter if you are looking for flexibility, strength, or relaxation. Hope is a great instructor. She shows you and explains how to do the movement. The soundtrack keeps things interesting. Good atmosphere in the studio.

Abide Yoga is one of Cleveland's best kept secrets. This studio located in the Larchmere area offers a mixture of yoga styles from restorative to kundalini and more. I recommend this studio to anyone new to the practice or anyone who has practiced for several decades. There is a space for you. Namaste

Over the past month, I've gone to Abide once or twice a week and have come to really enjoy Hope's classes. So far I've stuck with the Abide Vinyasa - All Levels class and have found it to be both accessible and the right level of challenging as a yoga novice. "Pay what you can" Karma classes are offered periodically throughout the week and are of the same high quality as any of the regular classes.
As a teacher, Hope does a great job of guiding students through the poses and suggests adaptations based off of personal preference or needs and is very accommodating to students of all levels. The
