Most of us want to be happy, peaceful, and free. Life's inner work can be overwhelming, confusing, and puzzling at times - but it can also be incredibly rewarding. As a dynamic, interactive and relational psychologist I am committed to helping individuals, couples and families manage a wide range of personal concerns and psychological issues.

My treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to clients with compassion and understanding as they journey towards healing and self-discovery. Psychotherapy can help with everyday issues, and recurring psychological patterns of fear, doubt and insecurity. Indeed, there is much crossover between the two!
Services
I am a Licensed Psychologist, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Gottman Method Couples' Therapist and Educator. Over the course of the last 30+ years, I've worked with couples and individuals in my Sacramento-based private practice. I am open to the range of experiences people bring into my office, what they struggle with, and what they hold.
I treat adults, adolescents, children, couples and families on a wide range of issues. Some clients wish to resolve a specific and finite issue, such as "My partner and I need to recover from an affair" and others come for other explorations, such as "I continue to encounter the same type of person in my life, and I have trouble with all of them.
Relationships today are complex and challenging. If you feel disconnected, unappreciated, frustrated or dissatisfied in your relationship, couples counseling can help. The sooner you respond to problems, the faster you and your partner will be able to get your relationship back on track. I am a Gottman Certified Therapist and my approach is based on the latest marital research and methods of Dr. John Gottman and the Gottman Institute.
A two day workshop dedicated to preparing you and your partner for the arrival of your new baby. Bringing Baby Home (BBH) is a two-day workshop for couples who are expecting a new baby or have young children. Workshops are led by supportive facilitators who have been trained to help expectant couples and new parents.
