I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Washington State License: LH 60241738) with a Masters of Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. I have been practicing for nine years. I became a therapist because I want my work to be something that helps me and others live happier, more fulfilling lives.
I work with adults, teenagers and couples. Having dealt with a severe inner critic much of my life I am dedicated to helping others deal effectively with the same. Helping others free themselves from misplaced guilt and punishing toxic shame is my passion. Many people enjoy positive feelings about themselves.

Unlike any other therapist. Will help you heal from within and discover many parts of yourself. Although kind, funny, and gentle; This therapist will be honest and see straight into you. So be careful, only recommended to those that can handle love, respect and caring in their lives. Healing can hurt but Steve is a salve, that when experienced can be almost addicting. Five stars.

One of the kindest individuals I have ever had the privilege of meeting. He has taught me how to heal myself from within and develop the resilience and strength needed to prevent my past trauma from influencing my future. Steve makes me feel cared for in the times where I think that no one is listening. He patiently observes and makes connections between my behaviors, actions, and experiences that clarify my sense of reality. If you are viewing life through a dissociative lens, his years of experience and empathy provide a path towards healing. I hope to someday help others in the way he has helped

Finding a good therapist and/or counselor can be very difficult! Honestly it takes one to two or even three visits for them to get an understanding of who you are and what issues you are hoping to resolve through counseling.
The worst feeling is seeing somebody after a month and realizing this is not a great fit and you have to start all over again after you invested both time and money into the sessions. I personally always try to go to someone Ive found through a referral from a friend or family member!
Steve was a referral from a business associate.
I live in Tacoma and Steve is located in

I have been to other therapists throughout different stages of my life and Steve is not your stereotypical therapist. He does not smile and nod blankly leaving you feeling like the last hour was a colossal waste of time as you walk to your car. Steve engages with you and makes every effort to help you get to who/what/where you want to be as a person in this world.
Steve has a talent for seeing past all the chaos and emotion surrounding a situation and targeting in on the base issue. I must admit there are times it is a bit unnerving for a control freak like myself, but ultimately I appreciate
