Returned to the area for a high school class reunion in October 2021. I was traveling alone so wanted to stay nearby and not have to spend a lot of drive-time to the events. Sonny greeted me at the office door and had a refreshing ice cold bottle of water waiting for me. He was super-friendly and very personable. We chatted some regarding my travels and he then directed me to my room, where I found the electric fireplace already on, which made for a very cozy, relaxing evening and subsequently, the entire weekend. Extremely clean. We only stayed two nights but the beds were very comfortable and the water was hot, which was really nice. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice and personable and made us feel very welcome. Added Bonus.....they had the electric fireplace already turned on in our room when we arrived and he gave us suggestions for breakfast and dinner before we even asked. He anticipated our needs which was a very nice touch. We will definitely be back

Stayed here 2 times during the snowy winter of 2020 while driving for work. Owner was exceptional in his customer service and went above and beyond to make things very welcoming during 2 heavy snowstorms. Rooms were so well maintained, comfy, and clean! I also recommend people stay here if they like a quiet comfortable night's sleep! Very reasonably priced. Has walk-in shower great for handicapped or elderly. Other amenities include table and chairs, microwave, small frudge/freezer, a stuffed chair, and awesome heating unit.

All of the positive comments of this motel are accurate. Quick check in. Park right at your room. Rooms are immaculate! The owners really take great care in cleaning. The rooms are extremely large, fridge, micro, coffee maker. You really do feel like your in a 4+ star name brand hotel once inside. Bed was comfy! The AC was a bit old and noisy, but not a deal breaker. Perfectly located between more expensive options of Lake George and Saratoga. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go back.

The motel at first impression is very well-kept, with the driveway and parking area spacious and freshly topped. The room was exceptionally clean in the bathroom had new, modern sink, toilet and shower. The owner/operator, Sonny Was very hospitable and met us at the office door with an ice cold bottle of water. The beds were big and comfortable, and the room was more like a hotel than a motel.

Great stay over the July 4th weekend. Manager "Sonny" was very gracious and accommodating. The room was spotless. The whole place is clean and welcoming. This is a 70's era "motor lodge" but has been recently updated. Comfortable beds and quiet neighborhood. We left clothes behind, were immediately contacted, and they mailed them to us!! Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing stay here at Sara Glen and I can't say enough about the friendliness of the owners. Its a small family owned hotel with only 16 rooms or so but you can see they really put their heart and soul in their work in making sure the guests are happy here.
I've stayed 3 nights here over the long July 4th long weekend and out of the 3 different hotels I've stayed over the trip this is by far my favorite. Sure the rate might not be the cheapest especially during the busy travel weekend but you really do get what you paid for here vs those other chain branded hotels. I really

We are normally partial to Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express but we couldn't get a room on short notice when we were in the Lake George area. My wife found Sara Glen Mitel online and we booked the Queen Suite. When we checked in the owner greeted us and you couldn't meet a nicer man. He was very accommodating and actually brought a bucket of ice when he saw we were outside having cocktails. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The shower and bath room were clean. What more could you ask? I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Great place! The room was very clean, the beds were really comfortable, and the electric fireplace was cozy. We liked that there was a refrigerator, microwave and hair dryer in the room too. Sunny checked on us to make sure we were OK, since he knew we were there for a funeral. It was quiet at night. Awesome value!

I will admit that I was a little skeptical at first, however I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The rooms are very clean and the beds are super comfy. Bathrooms are clean, and the shower was nice as well, I loved how it is a walk in shower instead of a bathtub. The way the motels are set up, you can barely hear anyone else (no running up and down hallways or slamming doors as the layout is a motel instead of hotel). My only issues were that it would get really hot in the room, especially the bathroom even when the a/c was up all the way. Also on the first night a little after midnight the

I booked this motel right before starting off on the road last night. We arrived at about 1am and the owner was waiting up for us, cheerfully. It was such a delight to be greeted so nicely after being on the road for almost 5 hours. The room is immaculate, has a sweet electric fireplace/heater, big fridge, microwave and super clean bathroom. We'll definitely be back here next road trip and will probably stay another day so we can enjoy Lake George. Everyone should stay here.

I don't write too many reviews but The Sara-Glen definitely deserves to be reviewed and written about.
We had a power surge over the weekend which blew out the power to our house and needed a place to stay for the night. Which turned into three nights total.
When we went to see if there were any available rooms, it is track season at The Saratoga Raceway, we were greeted with a smile and asked to wait a few moments while availability was checked.
I looked down at myself, as I was standing in the entrance and realized that I was covered with sweat, no shoes or shirt, and must have stunk

We had a very nice stay here over the weekend. It is a family-run establishment and they are very friendly and solicitous. The room was very clean and modern. My wife and I are picky about mattresses, and I'm happy to report that our bed was quite comfortable. The rooms are well away from Rt 9, so traffic noise was not a problem. Had a good shower in the morning. The only problem was that wi-fi in our room was not working; I believe that if I'd bothered to notify the staff, they would've rectified the problem right away, but we were too tired when we got to our room and wi-fi was

Open all winter--we just stayed 4 nights. Sonny, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating. The rates are very affordable and the area is quiet. The rooms are large, IMMACULATE, beds super comfortable, bathrooms newly renovated, very pretty, and well stocked. Rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. Heating unit works beautifully to your settings and in addition there is a pretty electric fireplace in each room that adds charm (and heat) if you like. There is a good and convenient restaurant close down the road for any meal, 'The Peppermill'. Very happy we tried
