As the premier personal chef in the NJ/metro NY area, Chef Mark McLean is constantly asked what is his style of food. His answer always remains the same, pre-empted by a moment of thought where he strokes his chin, looks up and to the left, and responds: "AWESOME". That always garners some laughter, but Mark stays serious and says I cook awesome food.
Elegantly called a "knife & fork BBQ", this menu contains examples of fun, outdoor ideas still presented in stylish format. Notice the hints of summer with multiple fruits and room temperature sides. A combination of flavors like this does not come along often. We are combining chicken & fish in a way that is only done at the best restaurants, but doing so at a private venue for your guests.
Mark and his team were a pleasure to work with. We hosted a large retail event that had a very specific brand direction. Mark was creative with his approach and the menu as well as presentation exceeded our expectations. Guests loved every item and commented on how delicious the food was all night long.

I contacted Remarkable Cuisine for a catered dinner for Christmas Eve. Even though the delivery was a bit late, I have to say the food was truly amazing. My family raved about the salmon, the strip steak and whipped Japanese yam (I've never had anything like it and it's so good) for days afterwards. Mark and his team put together a wonderful meal, and I liked that they have Venmo as an option for easy payment.

I attended a brunch party at Decarlos Bespoke in Jersey City which was catered by Remarkable. Remarkable was responsible for the unbelievably good, original recipe, scratch cooked, elevated southern style hors d'oeuvres and deserts. My personal favorites were Mr. B's crazy good BBQ sauce dipped chicken bites and Mark McLean's pulled pork on grilled pita. Mr. B's sauce is THE BOSS! The melts in your mouth bourbon bread pudding needs to have it's own sentence. It was that good.

I hired Mark to caterer my husband's surprise 40th at a venue in Hoboken. He was so helpful in designing a menu that had to incorporate Caribbean, Cajun and work with my Wakanda theme. He was so responsive with all my questions and menu changes. He even designed speciality cocktails that went with the theme. Everyone loved the food and the service. No one ever had to look for something as his staff made sure the food kept coming. He was able to manage through the logistics with the venue as well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him for my next event!! Thanks Mark for making my party a great

My mom got me a week of food delivery from Mark after I had my second baby. It was great, so easy to warm up and I had a gourmet meal to eat. Even now, weeks later, when I have more time and could cook, I still order from Mark because it's so tasty and so easy. I get fish, steak, chicken, pastas, and they all come with different sauces and side dishes. He varies the food each week so it doesn't get old. Also coordinating is easy cause he does it over text. No need to find time for a phone call.

I was planning a surprise birthday party for my sister and was referred to Mark and his team through friends. The entire planning experience was seamless. I wasn't too sure what kind of menu I wanted to provide, so he put together a large menu of appetizers and main dishes.
On the day of, we had an hour for them to get set up before my sister came back for the event. His team was extremely efficient in setting up for the event and brought all the equipment need to keep the food warm, even warming plates. They were also very nice and good at remembering what each guest was drinking and eating

Mark and his team are class acts. The food is always beautifully and thoughtfully created but tastes even better. We have used Remarkable Cuisine twice for small dinner parties at home. Mark makes every effort to coordinate your desires - even while he's away from the office. Our dinner party did occur later than we wanted but the staff did have to travel over an hour to us so I'm not deducting any stars. We would use them again without hesitation.

So happy we found Chef Mark! He was referred to me by a friend/colleague who was facing the same challenges as my husband and I- not being able to eat healthy during the busy work week without sacrificing flavor and variety. Luckily Chef Mark combines convenience, flavor, variety along with creativity and fresh healthy food for his meal delivery service. He's responsive, attentive to our preferences and overall a great guy. Even my 9 month old daughter enjoys his creations. Now I just need an excuse to get an event catered by him....

I booked Marks company for my Mothers 60th birthday party in Paramus, NJ. We spoke briefly a couple days before the event for coordination purposes (Mark is extremely busy as you can imagine- hard working guy). He showed up on time and well prepared the day of, his assistant Tara was early. Lovely people, friendly, sociable and very professional. Mark likes it if anyone in the crowd wants to watch him cook or asks questions!

My husband came across Remarkable Cuisine and Chef Mark online when he decided to throw me a somewhat last minute surprise birthday brunch at home and other personal chefs we had used in the past were not available. Well, everything works out for a reason and we are so glad that we met Chef Mark because we will definitely be calling him again!! Everything was seamless-from the menu planning to the catering of the guests (we had a group of 10 ranging in age from 2 to 95 AND a vegetarian) to the personality and interaction while cooking. I was planning a surprise birthday party in my home in early September and wanted a mix of cocktail party options and then a full dinner. Chef Mark and his team provided my wife and I with a fresh, high quality, and upscale private catering experience for my wife's birthday. Chef Mark put together a ridiculous 6 course meal that was unbelievable. We had a great meal and Mark was a great host! They were instantly accessible and always responsive to each and every request , even when I had to return emails super early in the day or super late at night because of my own busy schedule. Chef Mark and his team did an outstanding job at a dinner party for 17 at our home on Saturday evening. They were professional, easygoing and very talented. The team arrived about 90 minutes beforehand with all of their equipment and supplies.

When planning my friend's bachelorette party I wanted to something special: hiring a private chef-- I contacted Mark and was immediately blown away by his professionalism and his ability to work within my budget. Mark created and executed a fabulous dinner party. We were spoiled with his amazing food and cocktails. Shout out to Mark's gracious assistant, Winston!

Hiring a personal chef feels and sounds like something that a celebrity will talk about on a segment of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous or Mtv's Cribs. Well, we are neither rich nor famous, but rather strapped for time and hungry.
After digging around the internets and eventually here on Yelp, I came across what looked to be a very promising personal chef and catering service. Contacting Mark was easy, and in fact I was talking to the man himself the same day I left my plea, er, message for a weeks worth of food for me and my husband.

We had Mark cater my dads birthday party, and it was absolutely out of this world! The filet mignon and salmon was out of this world and it was very very delicious! We will definitely be having mark cater more of our events. He is very nice and can really make a great menu! You can not go wrong with Mark! A+

I am a former pharmaceutical rep. I planned and executed hundreds of catered events. When I found remarkable cuisine, my job became so easy. Not only was the food incredible and delicious, the staff was always on time and friendly.
