Services
Our philosophy on therapy focuses on empowering you to take control of your own life. We use proven clinical mental health strategies, including psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, to give you the tools you need to overcome obstacles. We believe all people are the experts in their own lives, even if we aren't always as capable of dealing with what comes in every chapter.
After growing up in Chicago and receiving an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Monica moved to Los Angeles to earn her Master's Degree in Social Work at California State University. For the past 5 years, she's been providing psychotherapy to individuals and families throughout Los Angeles.
From smartphones to video games to the feeling that you have to document every moment of your life on Instagram, technology surrounds us. The role it plays in your life can have both negative and positive effects, depending on how you manage it. In addition to providing therapy, Monica also provides training to youth, families, and other service professionals on the intersection of technology and mental health/wellbeing.
Every relationship has its ups and downs, but the couples who commit to working through difficult times together can turn struggles into strengths. Maybe you're having a hard time communicating, feeling misunderstood, or fighting much more than you used to. Maybe you're dealing with infidelity, trust issues, or just feel like you've been growing apart.
Our pasts play a significant role in our future, but they don't have to define them. Whatever you're struggling with, whether it's external trauma or internal conflicts, we can help you learn how to manage and move on from life's challenges. We believe in customizing our therapy approach to your unique needs and communication style, making use of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, and humanistic therapy techniques as needed.
