Atmosphere is wonderful, service is great, small tweaks to the dishes would make this a 5, e.g., a little more acid or salt. However, we're also planning our next visit to try more menu options as there were so many thst sounded wonderful! My ultimate favorite last night was the brussels sprouts appetizer!

Tried this restaurant for the first time and will definitely be back. You know you’ve found a new favorite place when you can’t decide which unique menu item to order. I ended up with the charred octopus and scallops appetizer portions. We also ordered the brussel sprout app and it was a 10. The char on the octopus was unlike any other way I’ve had it prepared and everyone at the table wanted a bite. The scallops were expertly cooked but the rest of the dish was the star - butternut squash, puréed beets and beet greens had me wishing I could mop up the plate. Our server guided us through

Stopped by this place during off season. Amazing experience delivered by our server, Stephano. He ensured we were in a comfortable climate with heaters, checked on us regularly, gave us his favorite recommendations. We loved everything! Our table ordered a bottle of Union Sacre, a glass of Malbec Dorado, Halibut Tacos, Hummus, Mussels and spicy Shrimp. Everything was delicious! 10/10 would recommend.

EXCEPTIONAL! The staff - courteous & friendly; the ambiance - warm & engaging; the food - "lick the plate clean" EXCEPTIONAL. My family & I went to the Shorebreak for Thanksgiving dinner. I've been cooking for 40 years & to come to a restaurant for the first time and have the turkey - so tender; the gravy - perfectly seasoned; the sour dough stuffing - amazing. Sweet potatoes - so tender & Cranberry sauce - the chef is incredible. Went back again on Saturday to enjoy their seafood - out of this world. First time there: lots of outdoor seating, immediate attention and Sean, the owner, graciously came out to greet us and again, to check on us, despite my husband's sense of humor! Sean donned his cowboy boots and hat and was friendly and so appreciative that we greatly enjoyed his fare. The mussels were perfectly cooked, the chorizo sauce delectable! The Brussels sprouts with bacon and figs had the right amount of sweet and salty. The chicken wings rocked!!! Service was on point, especially including the wet lemony naps for our wing cleanup!!!! One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Great food, the waitress was charming, attentive, and helpful and the ambiance was great. We went for a day trip to the beach and this was the capstone of the trip. Cannot recommend this location highly enough. You will definitely enjoy yourself here.

Loved this spot. It was laid back but refined and sophisticated. We went here on a date at the beach and weren't disappointed. The servers seemed stressed but I think they were understaffed. We waited around for at least 5 minutes before someone got to us at the host stand. We didn't mind but it was a little odd.

Had a fantastic dinner here with friends. The staff was very helpful when half our party got stuck in traffic on the bay bridge. Held our table for us and changed the reservation with no problem. The crab/sweet corn bisque is divine. The star of the night was our waitress, Kat. Very joyful and helpful, she made a good experience excellent!

Seated in front room with nice view of the street. Room was slightly loud, had to speak up for conversation. Food was excellent, had 2 specials. The crab corn chowder? With coconut milk. And the halibut special with fingerling potatoes and a honey siracha drizzle. Service was great, food was great, would definitely go again.

We came here tonight for my birthday dinner and it was delicious!!!!! Our table ordered crab dip, crab soup, halibut special, clams, and dessert. Everything was so light, flavorful, and appealing. No need to dress up but the vibe is still great. All of the staff was extremely attentive and worked together to timely serve and clear our table. We will definitely be back!

This place has the most delicious dishes, but I was told I would need to make reservations three days ahead. Has anyone else ever heard of this? We were seated in a rear dining room, and as time passed, with all the people who walked up to this restaurant, no one else was seated back there out of sight. I went to the men's room and noticed plenty of empty tables. They weren't closed off for social distancing, either! Came here for a Friday night dinner and decided to eat inside because the wind was gusting so hard outside.
For appetizers we had the burrata salad and wild mushroom bruschetta. The mushrooms were fantastic albeit slightly salty. The burrata came with sliced tomatoes and halved cherry tomatoes with a big dollap of pesto and grilled bread too. Because it's March, the tomatoes were hard and pale pink--disappointing since we thought we were getting an actual salad.
For dinner we got the grilled octopus on kohlrabi slaw as an entree--it was huge--we could have easily just had the appetizer

I had the charred octopus over the house slaw. I felt that they paired well... I was eager for another bite lol.
The short rib w/scallops over risotto is a must have. The short ribs were extremely tender. The scallops cooked to perfect. And, the risotto was nice and creamy.
I recommend trying them out. I doubt you'll be disappointed

Tonight was a night for a mew restaurant. Atmosphere was great, appetizers were the new best ever deviled eggs outside of the ones my sister makes! These were tremendously creamy and flavorful. We visited the beach due to an abnormally warm day in November. We wanted to try some place new to us and went on Yelp. We found this place, with great reviews and decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed!! They had outside seating with a warm little heater, partially outside seating as well as inside seating. We had two servers that took care of us, the owner came out and asked how everything was and we were both really pleased with our food selections.

We were here and hesitant to go out to too many places because of Covid. We decided to go here because of the plethora of outdoor seating options. We were immediately met with a friendly gentleman who helped us to our table and also turned out to be our waiter.
The service we received was top notch. Prompt and accommodating. Although our waiter was wearing a mask, you could feel his energy.
The apps are amazing, we had the spicy shrimp, burrata and naan. Highly recommend all 3.

What a wonderful treasure we discovered! My sister and I spent the afternoon walking the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach and were hoping to find a nice seafood meal to end our day. It was like a gift to our palates that we decided to try the Shorebreak Lodge after reading some reviews. Everything on the menu sounded yummy, but we both opted for the fall tasting menu since it would allow us to try more of the offerings that intrigued us. Glad we came here due to the number of good reviews on yelp, and no regrets (except ordering the pasta, more on that later). We also came here during covid and they have outdoor seating. Just make sure to call and make reservations as they get quite busy.
The good: husband enjoyed his old fashion. Grilled octopus was good. SURF AND TURF definitely order this. The risotto was out of this world and the scallops and short ribs were also really good.
The okay: the pasta tasted more like Alfredo sauce than squid ink and some parts of the pasta were clumped together. Would probably not order this

Fantastic! We came here for dinner in lieu of having our wedding (postponed to covid). We had reservations at 8, got there at 745 and were seated right away! The service was top notch- fast, efficient, & friendly. Covid compliant everyone's had masks & gloves and tables spaced out.
