His neighbors prepared foods from their family background as though they were prepared in the "old country". They had no real refrigeration, just ice boxes, so all the meals were prepared with fresh produce and cheese, and so on, there just was no such thing as frozen or prepared foods, and it was all fresh.
After graduating from The California Culinary Academy in 1988, Mr. Skorish took a position with the UTE CITY BANQUE in Aspen, Colorado where he rose to the position of Sous Chef within a period of four years. Chef Michael was recruited by Royal Brazilian Airlines to run their main commissary on the Island of St Martin.

About six months ago I wrote a poor review of this place due to its dismal service. They are so focused on taking phone orders, using table wait staff, that they ignore the customers already dining. So I didn't go back. But, I recently had a date and she wanted to try it. Once again just awful service. Just about had to throw something to get attention over and over and over. Finally my date decided to pay and she gave the bartender her credit card. He processed it and returned the bill...to me. Wow did she fume! And she also cut his tip in half for the insult. Oh my goodness! The food was incredible!! Everything my family ordered was topnotch! I had the lasagna, which was possibly the best I've ever had. The appetizers we had were also good (especially the calamari). Service was also good, and we met the owner, Marie, as we were leaving. In all a great meal and a great evening!!!

Food was good, BUT the portions were smaller than SMALL. Ordered 4 meals + an order of garlic bread for takeout for 4 people. We were highly disappointed when we got home and saw our meals. This was far from enough food, and embarrassing to charge 20$ for a pasta dish. Manager told us this is the way they serve and portion (8oz) their meals. Will NOT be returning!
