When a former TGI Fridays executive sought to branch off from his old company, he wanted to name his new venture something memorable. Drawing on his passion for hunting, he called his new restaurant Shooters. And since it opened in 1982, that eatery has entrenched itself in Fort Lauderdale's culture.

Valet required cash. It's common to not carry cash or debit cards these days and less common for payment to be restricted to cash and for all nearby ATM machines to be incompatible with phone wallets. Had to walk to a 7/11 in the cold and use phone wallet for cashback just to get cash for the vallet. Minus 3 stars for that ridiculousness. If you search the reviews you can see that others have long complained about the same so I don't know why this isn't fixed yet. Meal was mediocre so minus another star.

Shooters is great for COVID since it's entirely open in the back near the water. We put our name down on Friday night and the wait was an hour. They called us to let our know that our table inside was ready. Even though our table was inside, it was right next to the back patio, so while we were inside, we felt like we were outside.
The tuna salad was delicious. The lamb was great. The fries were great. The coconut shrimp was also great.
The place is absolutely packed so make sure to make reservations in advance.
They are SUPER dog friendly and have an amazing dog menu that looks delicious

Another amazing meal at Shooters. Went for lunch and got the club sandwich for the first time. It was delicious! It had chicken, avocado, bacon, and pepper jack cheese. It was served with fries that were hot fresh and crispy. They offer valet for $7 and there is also a pay to park lot across the street.

Went here for my anniversary. Great food and views. The Lychee martini was so tasty. Tasted very authentic to a classic asian martini. I got Seared Brown Butter Scallops & Shrimp. The fish was good but the star of this dish is the goat cheese risotto. OH MY GOD. I have dreams about that risotto. So creamy and cheesy. I aspire to be able to make something as tasty as that risotto. May go back to Fort Lauderdale sometime just to get a bucket of it. Swear to god

I had an amazing time. The restaurant is beautiful once you get inside and our waitress was spot on with an upbeat personality and customer service friendly attitude. She had great meal and drink suggestions and the entire ambiance was beautiful. Sitting by the water really added a special perk for my sisters birthday

Reservations is preferred but not always necessary... Sat at the bar, watched the bowl games, plenty of tvs in the bar area, good service and really fast at the bar.. I ordered the shrimp cocktails, drinks and Mahi-mahi burger and everything was good... Atmosphere was really nice and like how the outside seating area is on the water and you can watch all the boats pull up and drop off people at the restaurant... My first time here and had a good experience will be back.

This place was beautiful. We came at the beginning of December, so the inside was filled with festive Christmas decorations. We opted to sit in the outdoor bar area for happy hour. The specials were great, drinks were strong and the food was elevated for bar food, all in a gorgeous waterfront setting. We got the smoked fish dip, guava chili wings, and guava martini. The drink definitely felt tropical and had a nice guava taste. The wings were good as well, but just tasted like plain wings. The guava and chilli flavors were undetectable to me. The fish dip was good, but definitely a lot of fish

Very nice upscale restaurant with beautiful outside seating on the intracoastal waterway to watch the yachts go by. The food is good but not enough of it for the price you pay. Great place to take your relatives out of towners or for a special occasion.You have to pay for parking either valet or the parking garage. Will most likely have to wait for a table but it's worth the wait.

I think Shooters is fun if you have a boat. Just pull up, dock, and enjoy.
For the land lovers (or those of us without a boat), it's a good place to grab a drink and appetizer and sit outside. They have a crazy amount of outdoor seating!
They are full for reservations til January 4th, but we walked in right with a party of 4 at 7pm and got a lovely outdoor table, no problem.
If I go back, I'll keep it simple with a couple flatbreads and drinks.

Late lunch today, sat at the outside bar. Christa did an amazing job and did the work of 4 people and still was attentive to everyone. She asked for help from her peers many times, but honestly, her peers around her were not supportive. As a bartender myself, it was sad to see she didn't have help, but also she killed it by herself. We are coming back for her, for sure. Awesome! Side note ~ our food, was incredible: cashew mahi and brown butter scallops.

We can on Christmas Day. We had reservations for 5 and my husband and I got there early to have a drink at the bar. We also ordered from the bar fried calamari which took over 20 minutes to arrive. It was good but a very small amount.
They would not sit us until the whole party arrived, which I understand,once my whole party arrived we stood at the front for over 20 minutes when I asked and the hostess said the kitchen was down because they could not keep up with the demand. The restaurant was pretty much empty.

I really want to believe the hype in Shooter's but sadly after two visits to this restaurant I can officially say the food here is terrible. My first visit was on Valentine's Day and I ordered the surf and turf. The lobster tail looked so skinny and depressed like it was on a diet. My steak was barely warm. I thought nothing of it because it's a major holiday and they were busy so I figured it was just a fluke.
My second visit was Christmas Eve, again another holiday so I should have known better but it wasn't as busy as Valentine's Day and I went at around 4:30pm. I

Great ambience and great food.
We ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer. It was a nice large portion shared by 5 of us. The calamari was fried nicely and was really good. Nicely seasoned and tasty. Totally recommend

We were visiting friends in Florida and wanted a place with outdoor seating, great ambiance by the water, and good food--Shooters hit the mark! We made a reservation and so were immediately seated after arrival. It was a busy Friday night, but we never felt neglected by our waiter, which I really appreciated.
We had the oysters and mussels as appetizers, which were great! I especially enjoyed the mussels which also came in a nice savory sauce that nicely complemented the bread sticks. For my main course I couldn't decide between 2 options and our waiter assisted me with narrowing it down

Came to shooters for our first restaurant stop on our honeymoon down in Fort Lauderdale. mentioned in our reservation that we were visiting for our honeymoon and we were given right on the water right away after arriving. It was a great day and we were right on the intercoastal.

What a wonderful evening we had at Shooters. My husband's friend recommended we have dinner and it was as great as he described. The service is great, Diana was so friendly and attentive, made us feel welcomed.
The food was very good, the calamari was crispy and dipping sauce tasty. My husband's mussels also a great portion. My shrimp and scallops over risotto was very good, cooked perfectly. The keylime baked alaska, probably one of the most delicious desserts i have ever had. Great dinner, beautiful setting...perfect date night!

The ambiance and location seals the deal, plus the food and drinks are tasty!
I chose this restaurant to treat my friends for dinner for their anniversary. Thanks to the great photos, the outside seating looked fun! Unfortunately we came on a busy day, but also questionable weather, so we sat around the bar outside. We still had a great view, although not next to the water. Thankfully that helped us because when the rain came down those people had to leave.
As for the food, it was great! I had the salmon with honey/ginger, my friend and her husband had a veggie burger and pasta with chicken
