I moved in about 6 months or so ago and have had nothing but issues since moving in. I swear on my life these people did not check anything in our apartment before having people move in. When it rains too much the water seeps through our carpet, I went to open my shower door the other day and the entire handle ripped off (the screws were EXTREMELY rusty), there were about 6 holes in corners of my bathroom letting ants into everywhere, which took 3 maintenance visits to fix, our hot water heater went out this morning, and to top it off we have been dealing with xfinity for well over 5 months to

Apartments are not cleaned properly or thoroughly before move in. Underneath all appliances are covered in previous tenants filth. There is hair painted into the walls and doors in all rooms. Electrical flickering in both the kitchen and bathroom and tub drain broken upon move in. Dryer vents are not properly maintained posing a fire risk. The bathroom tub and walls are painted and will begin to chip and peel with daily use. Maintenance staff is unprofessional and rude. Every request made to maintenance has been questioned and argued. The worst management company I've ever seen. They will do their best to steal from you as much as they can. Once you move in they will find any excuse to charge you for things they are not supposed to do, and they will say they need to replace it, even if it's normal wear and tear (which they should not charge you for it). Also, I quote everything with other companies, and they charge at least $100 more than other contractors to do the repairs, so they over charge you for that. And if you do not agree with its terms, they will threaten to send the case to court.

This is by far the worst management. When you move out, they will find their way to keep your safe deposit, and even try to charge you more (and if you don't agree, they'll threat you to go to court. If you make a work order request, they may change the lock of your apartment with no reason or any type of notice, and let you out of your new apartment until they give you the new keys. They do not have any type of good customer service.

For 2 months we had a 1st floor unit reserved only to find out that the previous tenant was not moving out. The complex could not find us another unit on the main level. I requested our deposits back since there was not another unit available & we had just closed on our house. They decided to even keep part of our refundable deposits as well. This situation ended with one of their representatives, Katie, hanging up on me after she said there was nothing else they could do. No one needs to be treated this way and we would not recommend Saddle Creek Apartments to anyone!

Would not recommend these apartments especially if you have kids. Firstly before we even lived here we signed a contract for an apartment then weeks before we were suppose to move in they told us the current residence decided not to move out. They had no other apartments available for the time frame we needed and when asking for our money back them saying we would get nothing back because we signed a contract. Yeah you're right we did sign a contract and you don't hold your end to it. After finding a new move in date and apartment in the complex we have MAJOR issues with bees in our apartment

If I could give this place zero stars I would. If you have a pet... PLEASE do NOT go here. They say they are pet friendly but are not. In their pet policy they charge you a fee like most apartment complexes do, however, if you read the fine print it talks about “removing the padding and carpet if it is (stained, permeated by pet odor and damage in anyway). HELLO dogs come in with wet or muddy paws.. it’s Michigan!! Their apartments are only 800 square feet and they will charge you close to 700$ to replace the carpet and keep your security deposit on top of it. Also, management is absolutely

See all these reviews below and take them very seriously! We currently live in these apartments, not only are the buildings/apartments themselves terrible, the property management is the worst. Read below.
Regarding the property management:
-You will not receive notices for things such as water shut offs for repairs, construction in the parking lots, and maintenance on facilities such as the pool or tennis courts. They will mishandle your accounts and emails, they delete things such as payment information without your consent, charge to add your payment information back in for rent payments.

I don't even want to select even a half a star for this establishment! They will take their application fee of $550 act as if they're only going to lose $50 if you're denied but they keep $150! And they deny you before you even get a chance to completely fill out the app and send proof of your income... they just go to the next applicant after taking $150 from you. I work in retail filled out an app paid my $550 after being told I would only lose $50 if I didn't get excepted I was so busy over the holidays I didn't get the information to them as fast as they wanted it so

My realtor called Saddle Creek and set up an appointment for an apartment visit the week before I came down from Chicago to Michigan.
After a five hour drive from Chicago to Michigan the leasing associates told us that they would not be able to honor the appointment we had made a week prior because they had owners visiting. Despite us telling them we had driven so far to see an apartment, they refused to let us just visit for even a few minutes. When we came in the owners were just sitting around a table in the lounge area.

After reading the negative reviews I unfortunately have to agree with everything they mentioned. We have unfortunately been going through hell with management to get simple repairs finished. Also when notifying management of issues you can expect one of two things (either of which will be preceded by being informed someone will contact you shortly)
1) maintenance will simply show up knock once and come on in even if you don't answer because you happen to be engaging in some adult time with your significant other. After you send them away any delays in the repair not being completed timely

I've lived at SaddleCreek Apartments for almost five years now and have to say that my experience here has been great.
The leasing office (especially Jeff) has been excellent to work with and very accommodating when I call for requests such as maintenance, lease renewal, or paperwork.
The maintenance team is good too, on time when they say they will arrive and get the work done once without having to come back multiple times.
They are always looking to improve the facility too which I like a lot. Especially the tennis courts which are my favorite and probably one of the best in Novi

MURDER in SADDLE CREEK APARTMENT! A man who lived here was shot and killed in the yard of his apartment. There is no security here. Please read the reviews of Pepper, Joseph & Joe B! I completely agree with them. The management is the biggest problem here. I have never lived anywhere where the staff is so unconcerned about their tenants. I could list many examples of my experience as well as that of my neighbors. But suffice to say that I absolutely would NEVER recommend S.C. to anyone. It is my opinion that if anyone gives them a positive rating, it is likely written by the office staff

This place is horrible! Aside from the old and disgusting apartments that they do not keep clean or updated, the leasing office staff are rude and unorganized. They lost our papers (due to staff turnover apparently) saying we would move out and proceeded to charge us an additional month and a half even after we had turned our keys in! DO NOT RENT HERE! You will get screwed!

So disappointing. First of all, we were sort of rushed to sign a lease because we were told they couldn't hold the unit we wanted for more than 10 days. Then when I requested to see the actual unit before we signed the lease, they told us that they don't allow it. Well, now I see why! Upon getting suckered into signing my lease and receiving my keys, I went and did a quick walk through and took a look at the apartment. This place is SHADY! If you value your hard earned money, your privacy or your sanity you may want to look elsewhere for residence. First off this place has absolutely terrible insulation and the door and window jams are loose allowing your heat to escape in the winter and air conditioning to escape in the summer. Furthermore, if someone wants to break in to your apartment it probably wouldn't take more than a screwdriver. I considered adding additional locks but didn't want to be charged by management. The security on their doors is shabby at best and almost faulty.
