Services
Our company founder, Russell Jones, fought hard for the rights of homeownership for the marginalized, the oppressed. It wasn't an easy job. He encountered resistance but fought hard for what was right. He was a 1933 Lincoln High School graduate and went on to become active in the Capitol Hill Lions Club, Prospect Congregational UCC and Eastgate Congregational UCC Churches, and other community organizations.
After joining RJRE in 2001, I worked my way up to become the first new designated broker in more than three decades and only the third in the company's history, following founder Russell Jones and his son Allan. My solid reputation for good customer service made me the best choice to be selected by the four partners to lead the family-based company for its next generation of client service.
When you work with a Russell Jones Real Estate professional to buy a home, we strive to make your experience a great one. We focus on close, clear communication so that you always know where the transaction is and what the next step will be, so buying a home is an exciting process and you will be empowered and confident in the choice you make.
Before you can determine which loan is right for you, you need to have an understanding of how each type of loan works and the costs and benefits of each. Let's start with the two basic types of loans that most buyers have to choose from. Fixed rate mortgages are exactly that - the interest rate remains fixed for the life of the loan.
Ready to find your dream home? We will get in touch with you and send you an email with all the homes currently for sale that meet your search criteria. Then, to ensure you don't miss a single listing that hits the market, we will send an email each morning with any new listing or price change that's occurred in the last 24 hours.

Joe is the best! He helped us with the purchase of our first home. My husband and I were so nervous about the whole process, but he answered all of our questions (we had about a million) and he taught us so much! He is incredibly knowledgable and very detail oriented. He knew exactly what to look out for in the house and made sure that all our bases were covered when we signed the contracts. Joe just really made us feel so supported the entire time and I truly believe that we wouldn't be in the home we have now if it weren't for him.

We have purchased multiple homes with Russell Jones Real Estate. Joe and Erik have created an excellent team. They were able to react quickly to our needs and were able to negotiate the best deal possible on both sides of the transactions. The realistic, cool-headed approach that they take in a high-stress transaction like a home sale or purchase put us at ease throughout the process. I would, and have, recommended Joe and Erik to my closest friends. Since this review I joined the Russell Jones Real Estate team. I thought so much of them that I joined their team!

After spending months working with online realtors only to miss out on a handful of homes, we started losing hope we’d find our place in Seattle. A friend recommended Joe and Erik, and it was a complete turn around. They took the time to learn who we were and what we were looking for. They helped us better understand the process and taught us how to put our best foot forward. We got the first house we put an offer on, and I’m sure it’s because of the work they did for and with us. Even after we’ve closed, Joe has been available helping us find contractors and handymen to turn this house

I worked with Joe for the past two years in finding my first home, and recently closed on a townhouse. He was very patient, supportive, and made sure I understood each part of the process. He was also very detail oriented when it came to researching the home and provided me with all the information I needed to make the right decision. When it came to putting in the offer, he was very quick and organized. As a new home buyer, I was confident and trusted his expertise, guidance, and advice. Working with Joe was an awesome experience. I highly recommend working with him and his team if you are looking

We sold our home in August 2020 and Joe was invaluable to us in many ways. It was the first time we sold a home.
First a little backdrop:
- Pandemic
- Late summer listing
- We were making an international move
We interviewed several agents and chose Joe due to his (a) very quick response, (b) clear communication skills, (c) attention to detail, (d) local knowledge and (e) good referral from a friend.
Joe has many years of experience and that proved very important to our situation of finding a limited power-of-attorney to handle the closing in our absence. Also, Joe used his network of connections

Working with Joe and Erik on the sale of our investment property and residence was a great experience. Their knowledge of the real estate market and recommendations to get our properties market ready provided wonderful results. Both properties sold quickly and at a higher price than we had hoped for. We would highly recommend them!

Joe Klarman has provided valuable pro-bono services several times over the past 4 years to the non-profit where I work as CFO. Joe guided us in crafting commercial leases and in the evaluation and negotiation of a complicated divestiture process related to 96 housing units which was successfully concluded in September 2018. Joe was able to quickly grasp our unique situation. He provided honest feedback and strategic advice to management and board members in ways that helped meet our needs in a timely manner. Joe is an excellent listener with a great way of communicating complexity in an easy to

Joe Klarman was my real estate agent for a condo I purchased over 10 years ago as well as my house last year. He is a extremely good at what he does. He makes the process as positive and fun as possible as well. He works fast and we were able to have an accepted offer on a home we saw a few hours after it went on the market. He is realistic and gives good advice, and most importantly patient. I will buy my next property with Joe and his team at Russell Jones Real Estate.

Joe Klarman of Russell Jones Real Estate is an excellent agent. He is patient. He looked for a place with me for two years before I found what I was looking for. He is effective. We closed the deal, with good terms, on the very same day that he showed me the Unit that I purchased. He is helpful, providing someone to manage my move from a rental to the Unit that I purchased. He advised my daughter in the sale of her home. What more could you ask for?

I first met Joe in 2004 when my husband and I were considering moving from the suburbs to Seattle. We had purchased a house before, but not on the open market, and we were concerned about the complexities involved. I had another real estate agent in mind, but Joe’s attention to detail and expertise convinced us to ask him for help finding a house.
Throughout the process, he made sure we understood the real estate terminology involved and the ramifications of decisions we had to make. He also helped find us a loan agent and followed up after the purchase to make sure we were happy.

I have used Russell Jones three times in the last five years. Joe Klarman has been my agent each time.
He is very knowledgeable and knows the Seattle market.
He gave me a thorough understanding of the Seattle market and knew exactly how to walk me through the sales process, both as a buyer and seller. He is very focused on my needs. I would recommend him to any of my friends looking to purchase or sell real estate.

We recently went to an open house that was being held by this company and it was the worst experience I have ever had. I hardly complain or leave bad reviews, and have run into may different realtors but this guy was unbelievably unprofessional. Erik Zaugg, according to the business card, was holding the open house. He didn't acknowledge our existence even though there was only one other person there. He sat on couch staring at his phone the whole time not even looking up, except once to mock something my boyfriend said about the house. We weren't even sure who he was or if he was the
