What makes Chutzpah unique, from all other deli's in the area is when you enter Chutzpah you actually believe you're in a real New York deli. From the aroma when you walk through the front door, to the pickles and homemade cole slaw placed on your table when you're seated. The sandwiches are over-stuffed, and the chicken soup is probably better than your grandmothers.
They make their own corned beef, top rounds, brisket, chopped liver, salads, matzo balls, kreplach, and potato latkes. Just about everything else, including the smoked fish, pastries, and cheese cake are from New York. They even offer bagels and bialy's. But don't be confused, Chutzpah isn't a local bagel shop trying to be a deli, they're a deli who happens to offer bagels and bialys from, where else?

I wanted to like it, but...
Sandwich not toasted or grilled. I should have asked, I guess, but the server usually asked.
No pickle with a deli sandwich?
Corned beef cut too thick and with the grain creating slivers of meat. Not much flavor either.
Matzoh ball soup had great flavor.
Latke was way too thick and not favorable.

Best breakfast in Fairfax! The nova lox bagel on pumpernickel will change your life, and the pancakes are DIVINE. My husband, small daughter, and I have been going here about once a week or once every other week since we moved to this area in March. The affordable menu, upbeat team that works there, down to earth vibe, and quality and uniqueness of food keep us coming back. Not the right vibe for you if you are looking for frills or a fancy time. Of course another factor is the owner. He is so fun. Remembers us when we come in and my daughter gets such a kick out of chatting with him. You can tell

This establishment is pathetic in how they treat patrons. Their "manager" started yelling and hollering at my child. No matter the reason no one has a right to yell at a patron. We had hardly walked into the establishment and simply were interested in picking up a carry out menu. Do not support a business that treats people so rudely. We didn't even get a chance to walk in. We will be reporting to the better business bureau. We will also contact the health department. A business like this needs to be shut down. How dare their staff treat small children so disrespectful. Most establishments say

It’s pretty sad that as somebody living in NYC that I found a better Jewish style deli in Northern Virginia than I can get at home. But regardless, I’ve wanted to come yo Chutzpah Deli after seeing so many good reviews.
I was in the mood for eggs but knew I needed to try some of their deli. Good thing for me is that they offer scrambles with deli meats. I got the pastrami and eggs, which was an excellent dish. The way they make their eggs is somewhat unique and pairs well with the pastrami.
We also got turkey and brisket sandwiches. They use real fresh roasted turkey here which is definitely

For a local place in Fairfax, this place felt like an authentic NY deli with wonderful staff! The food was delicious and the prices were excellent. The staff were very knowledgeable about the food options (there were many) and enforced the mask policy to ensure everyone is safe! You will absolutely enjoy coming to this Deli!

Epic and comprehensive Jewish deli nestled in Fairfax County, Virginia's suburbs. Everything you could want from borscht to bagels to bialys can be found here! One of the few restaurants in the area that has Dr. Brown's Cream Soda as a default beverage on their menu. There is just so much to love about this little eatery. Even as I write my review now I'm eagerly awaiting a meal of bagels and lox, potato knish, veal parmesan, egg noodles, garlic spinach, and perhaps something equally delightful for dessert. I'm almost overflowing with excitement and anticipation! Everyone should try to have some
