Dr. Eugene Tsujimoto opened his practice in the summer of 1965 in the Irvington District of Fremont, California with a mere 600 square feet. In the spring of 1973, his practice relocated to a new location on the corner of Fremont Boulevard and Stevenson Boulevard with 1100 square feet. It was at this time that Dr. Tsujimoto began looking for talented, young doctors at his alma mater to help expand his practice.

Dr. Brian Gin grew up in Fremont, California and graduated from Mission San Jose High School in 1998. University of California, San Diego in 2002. In 2006, he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

THEY DON'T LET YOU LOOK AROUND ALONE. my boyfriend was stopped by one of the ladies who works there & was told he can not look at the glasses alone when he has asked why she couldn't really tell him why he couldn't look alone. So how do you expect someone to know what they like ? Lol sooo not coming back to this place Again because of that.

I've going here for 2-3 years now. Seeing Dr. Leung. The front desk was super helpful on schedule. They will call and text you. You can reply to them via text. They are super responsive. I had a problem with my contact lenses power the last few years. I've tried a few sets of trial pairs with them. They had no problem with my request to making sure my optimal power. I highly recommend for their service.

Came in for my first appt today after years of going to Kaiser and I'm happy I did. Staff was very nice and attentive. The office/equipment was very clean, modern and they followed all COVID protocols. Great selection of frames as well! Will be back again for any of my vision needs. Highly recommend.

It pains me to write this review as I have been a patient of FOG for 30 years, even when living in SoCal for 10 years and in SF for the past 5 years. I grew up seeing Dr. Victor Gin, then switched to Dr. Chew after his retirement and always had full confidence in the office and Optometrists there. However, my recent experience with the office has really disappointed me and felt it necessary to share. The whole process here is pretty much flawless, even with COVID-19. The past few years, they mail a little postcard when it's about your time of the year for a check up. Scheduling is simple and can be done online or over the phone. If done online, they normally follow up with you to confirm the appointment. For COVID, they do temp checks at the door. You have to have an appointment and text a number to let them know you are

I had a great experience during COVID-19 at Fremont Optimetric Group office. Everyone is very attentive and very kind. I want to give a special shout-out to Michelle for helping me pick out glasses and fitting my regular prescription glasses and sunglasses with frames that are stylish and fit the frame of my face properly. I just want to say... I wish every doctor I have ever met had half the conviction Dr. Sakihara had in doing the best job that they can.
After three visits of fine tuning, she was able to prescribe me a pair contacts that I can't even feel while wearing them.

I had an appointment for my eye glasses to be adjusted. I knew it was going to be iffy as my glasses had been stepped on.

I made an appointment online and they called to confirm it. I was able to come in 2 days later. The support staff is great. From the receptionist to the assistant that conducted all the pre-testing to Dr. Gin. Everyone is super nice and professional...made me immediately comfortable. I have my follow up appointment to check my contact lens on Wednesday 6/19/19.

This place was fantastic! It was really easy to get an appointment and the doctor was really friendly. I was seen quickly and didn't have to wait past my appointment time. The glasses came in about three weeks later and I was able to go in and get them very quickly. It took about 10 minutes from walking in the door to walking out. And they have brilliant frame selections. You won't be disappointed with them!

We came in to check out their selection of Tomato glasses for kids (they're one of the few offices to carry them). We were greeted and attended to immediately despite it being so close to the office lunch break. Michelle was very patient and polite. She helped us choose a set of frames and walked us through the process.
We don't usually come to this office for eye exams but I think we will from now on. They have a wide selection of glasses for adults but I wasn't able to look at any.
They're open until 8 on some Wednesdays and some Saturdays.

It was such a pleasure to return here. There's no question that you've walked into a State of the Art facility.
EVERYONE was knowledgeable about her/his job. From the insurance guru at the front desk, to Thuy (not sure what her title is) taking pictures of my eyes and testing for peripheral vision, to Dr. Leong for catching near and far vision issues, however slight and finally to Michelle at Optical Sales for having an eye at what might look good on a face and what specials there are based on the type of insurance you have.
I felt well cared for at this optometrist's office.
