It was my dream to own and operate a restaurant. In March of 1992, Calabria's Restaurant opened in Castle Shannon on Grove Road. My entire family helped to make my dream come true. My wife's father, the late Executive Chef Russell Ebert, came out of retirement to get us started. A neighbor of his and very close family friend, Mario Ionni, retired chef from the LaMont Restaurant in Mt.
In addition to our contemporary dining room, Calabria's has a private room that can accommodate 65 people. With a minimum of 35 guest, this room works perfectly for your smaller private occasions. We have a full banquet menu with buffet and sit down packages. In addition to the dinner packages, we also have special funeral and shower packages.

First time ever eating here and it will be the last. I ordered lasagna expecting a traditional dish, and ended up finding out AFTER that it has ham included. I’m not saying to add every detail on your entire menu, but pork is a protein that people avoid for allergy reasons(which I personally avoid nitrates - being in almost ALL HAMS) and religious reasons! That’s a big component to your dish, so you need to state that on the menu. Very unprofessional, and being Italian myself I expect better food for this kind of price… the meatballs in my kid’s meal were OK.. sauce was flat. Just not impressed

We came here after a cold evening visiting Koziar's Christmas village. The restaurant was not crowed at 7:15, family friendly atmosphere. The food selection was moderate, quite a range to choose from, but not extensive. The kitchen closed quite early, at 8 pm.
I went for the small classic linguine and meat balls. We also shared a small meat lover pizza. The Neapolitan style pizza was delicious. The pasta and meatballs were hearty and flavorful, simple but so satisfying. I finished everything and was surprised to find out they brought out the large plate instead of small. Well, there's always more

Was really disappointed since we heard so many good things about this restaurant. Place was clean and service was good. 3 of the 4 meals had to be sent back because the food was not hot. Took my mother there for her 91st birthday and she did not even get to finish her meal because her plate was the last to come back after getting warmed up again. Sorry but for $21.00 meals food should not have to be microwaved. Waitress was apologetic but always hard to recover .
