Update: Peter from Ocean Odyssey called me to confirm our reservation after I posted my review. He was apologetic and resolved the issue.
I’ve been trying to book a house for next summer since September and haven’t been able to get anyone on the phone, and no one will answer my emails. I have no idea if the booking has been confirmed. I’ve signed the contract, but haven’t received any confirmation, and my credit card hasn’t been charged for the deposit amount. It’s so frustrating to not be able to reach anyone for months.

I'm guessing Ocean Odyssey is under new management starting this year sometime. We've booked with them many times over the last handful of years, and I've found the direct service from OO to be very good, professional and prompt. I'm not sure what's going on, but this summer I tried booking a property they manage, one that we've stayed at before, and I could get NO ONE on the phone, no one returned my calls, no one responded to my emails. I called at all times of the day, left messages, waited for weeks to try again, understanding summer is busy, etc. but still, nothing. I even tried calling businesses

We booked a property with OOVR through VRBO last August and haven’t gotten one acknowledgement other than our VRBO reservation. We have had such a good track record with VRBO we haven’t thought anything of it. When my wife, who booked the trip, contacted OOVR through VRBO early this month we got nothing. Days later she called them and again got nothing, no answer just a message service that wasn’t returned. She called again and nothing. I even sent a message to them through their website email form and nothing. We just want to know if this booking is real. It’s crazy to get nothing since

My sister and I stayed at Blue Bird cottage it was simply amazing and a great view very cute clean little house comfortable perfect for us.
We even left a little Blue Bird figurine to mark our stay there and to add to the collection of bluebirds they have. Ocean Odyssey is the place I will definitely recommend 100%

Arrived at Hooks Hideaway and found it was not as advertised. The house looked nothing like the posting. Half of the outlets in the kitchen did not work, the house was not clean, the shower curtain was moldy and the shower drains were clogged. To top it off there was a paper wasp nest on the structure the size of of a basketball.
I called the emergency line for the bees nest because my nephew is deathly allergic to bees. No one answered so I left a message and never received a call back. I called the office and let them know of the issues and he said he would try to get someone out that day or

Absolutely spectacular location and comfort. We first visited a few years ago, wouldn't think of booking anyplace else when we returned in December 2018. Two walls of windows looking out at the crashing Pacific--all that stands between is a two-lane road and the coastal rocks. Walking distance to everything in Yachats, plus a unit that's been upgraded--not upscale or fancy, just clean, comfortable (great bed) and stocked with all the amenities you need. In season, you can watch whales, seals and pelicans from the deck--or from inside. The management company is very friendly and professional. Don

I can't say enough about our experience with this wonderful vacation rental company! We stayed for a week at the Seventh wave house! It was clean, fully stocked with amenities and location location location! The view from the deck never got old, we actually extended our trip! Peter the office manager was just delightful to work with! He gave us great weekly rates! Checked on us by phone to make sure our stay was comfortable, and even went out of his way to make sure the new very extensive cable package was transferred during our stay so our teenagers could get all the premium channels in the very

I was very impressed with the way Ocean Odyssey dealt with our vacation rental disaster this summer. We rented one of their properties and once we arrived, found it not to be at all what we expected. From the location right next to Hwy 101, to the extremely dated interior and the OPEN AIR Master bath. Yes, you read that correctly.
