FACT: The Megaformer workout is built around the concept of muscle exhaustion, which occurs when muscles are under constant tension and worked outside of their comfort zone.THIS is where CHANGE happens! The Lagree method focuses on strengthening your slow twitch muscle fibers. You'll move very slowly through each challenging exercise, feeling every inch you move and every second that goes by so you have total awareness of your body.
The Megaformer is an intimidating looking machine first derived from the pilates reformer over 10 years ago and has been progressing ever since. HOWEVER, we do NOT do traditional Pilates on the Megaformer. Our method is called "Lagree" after the creator Sebastian Lagree, and it is STRENGTH TRAINING at a very slow, intense and controlled pace with no rest, yet no impact.

I've been attending classes at Transform Fitness since it opened in early February. It has changed my life. The 45 minute workout is amazing - it is challenging and never gets easier, but for some reason, that's what motivates you to keep coming!
Jen has been active all her life, competing in running, skiing and cycling from a young age. It was only natural that she ended up pursuing a career in motivating others around her to be healthy and fit. As a personal trainer and group exercise instructor, Jen was always searching for new exercises and techniques to push her clients to achieve their goals.
The official Lagree certification process teaches the instructor the exercise science that defines Sebastien Lagree's unique training method. The instructor is taught the basic, intermediate, and advanced exercises as well as all the corrections to accommodate different body types and fitness level.

Transform Fitness is my favorite fitness studio (Lagree or otherwise) in the Bay Area! No matter how fit I am (which, like many, varies from time-to-time!) I always feel challenged, but never defeated, as the instructors are always mindful to point out modifications to ramp moves down or up, depending on preference. The studio is immaculate, which is critical during these COVID times, the instructors are kind, knowledgable and skilled (Jen is my personal favorite), and the music selection is always on point. Would recommend to persons of all ages and fitness levels who are looking to get stronger

My go-to spot for quality Lagree classes! The location is great (parking can be hard sometimes) and the studio is always clean and welcoming. I've taken many classes here and all the instructors are good at putting together challenging routines that work out every part of your body.

Bought a class package two months ago, and I can't be happier with my decision. They have a nice lineup of classes and instructors, each with their own unique teaching style. The workout is challenging and accommodating to different bodies. The class is easy to follow, but never feels easy, which to me is a good thing. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to tone up their body.

Really enjoying my classes at Transform Fitness. The teachers are all professional, patient and like to challenge you (while still giving options to modify if needed.) In my first month, I've definitely become stronger, and might even be starting to see some proper ab definition! So exciting! I'm a new ski instructor so this is the perfect way to get ready for the upcoming season.

I've been coming to Transform after a lagree studio closer near me permanently closed due to COVID. The instructors are top notch - very experienced, great (hard!) routines that offer a mix of light and heavy spring loads. The instructors are interactive and engaged with the class - offering demos and tips on how to improve form. The studio is clean and the machines are well maintained. I continue to go to this studio, even though it's farther away from me, because the classes are a great core/low impact strength workout.

I have been going to this studio for a couple of years and it is consistently a great workout. The instructors are clear and do a good job of explaining the moves and correcting for proper form. The studio is also very clean and nice that they have two locations now. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try Lagree.

I had been a member of core studio in Palo Alto for two years prior to COVID. I really love Lagree and definitely felt a bit orphaned and in need of a new 'home' studio after they permanently closed. Heartcore was actually closer to me but I never cared for their instructors. Then I tried Transform for the first time earlier this year and have been a regular since! They definitely have more experienced instructors and better classes. Can't recommend them enough, try Andrea or Lindsay's classes!

I am so happy to that my good friend introduced me to this studio. My first class really kicked my butt! I felt much stronger after going more regularly. Before I knew it, I found myself scheduling a class every week. My instructor Andrea is so helpful when I need corrections. I truly appreciate how she helps me reach my fitness goals and helps inspire me to push myself harder. The studio is very clean and I feel safe going. I suggest anyone who is thinking about possibly taking a class to just do it. You won't regret it, you might even get hooked!

Cannot believe how great this work out is. Had tried other works out, like hiking, long distance running, swimming, YouTuber videos, NUli, etc. generally I'm a active person, but after had two kids and COVID staying at home, I got a lot of fat, and no work out really help me to achieve my goal. But luckily I found Transform. Only with five classes, I can see my transformation so apparently, from shoulders to abs to thighs, I can tell by just looking at the mirror that every part gets toned. Weight didn't change much, but it's only five classes!!! I'm so glad I finally found

Transform Fitness Studio! (All About You!) is awesome! I hadn't worked out at all for the last 7 years and went to TFS to get back into the groove of working out. It's like going to middle school gym class (in terms of how fun and inviting it is) with a bunch of friends, coached by a personal trainer, with a Megaformer workout each day. The hardest part is getting there. Once there, you get coached all the way through your session, complete with plenty of encouragement and camaraderie. The trainers, Andrea R. and Ceana, are so supportive and customize workouts to every level of ability

I went for the first time today and took a class with Kat who was absolutely amazing. The megaformer machines provide additional resistance to traditional bodyweight lunges, squats, planks, and more. The machine really ups the intensity of the workout, but can be quite confusing as a first timer. Kat was incredible though and showed me the ropes (literally!) with the machines before class and offered plenty of individualized attention during class. The cues and instruction were very helpful for both body awareness and intensifying the workout. Highly recommend!

I begrudgingly did my first class at Transform over a year ago. My girlfriend had been going for some time but I was not eager to try out yet another boutique fitness class. I am now a regular and recommend Megaformer training to people of all fitness levels.

What I was expecting to be a Pilates-like exercise turned out to be among the most challenging and refreshing slow-twitch movements I've ever done. As a former Division I Track & Field student-athlete and current BJJ practitioner, I get my butt kicked each class. Workouts on the Megaformer allow variations for almost every movement

I have tried dozens of Lagree studios in the Bay Area and Transform is a solid one. Their instructors are typically very friendly and you're more likely to have good instructor than a bad one. The studio is clean and the staff has always been great.

The workout never gets any easier and is way more manageable when you go on a consistent basis. The location makes it super easy to make it to a class. Make sure you book ahead during peak hours because you probably won't be able to walk in.

Just started doing this exercise for the past few weeks and I love it.
It's challenging but will leave you feeling great.
Studio is clean and the instructors are really nice.
I wish there was an introductory class to explain the different movements and terms. So, for first timers, I suggest arriving earlier so the instructor can briefly explain. That's what I did.

The Megaformer machine is what you get when you combine a medieval torture device with pilates.

Megaformer is all about the slow burn. Rather than isolating a specific muscle, it engages multiple muscles through compound exercises. The exercises highly target the core and stabilizer muscles, which are often overlooked in a normal gym workout. Exercises are done excruciatingly slow for maximum fatigue, and there are no breaks. As soon as the current exercise is done, it's right onto the next one!

Are you looking for a fabulous workout in an under an hour? Well head on over to this awesome Megaformer studio in downtown Mountain View. You won't be sorry. Well.... actually you might be during the class, but your body and mind will thank you afterwards.

Mermaid, Scrambled Eggs, French Twist...wha?! Sure, the unique names for the exercises take a minute to get used to, and memorize, but the instructors are available with assistance, and you always take a quick glance at your neighbor too. Both the clientele and instructors are friendly and supportive.

So glad I was able to check out Transform under Classpass! Their new studio on Castro is clean and bright. There's a small cooler in the back where you can refill your water bottle.

I enjoyed both Ceana and Kat's Megaformer classes. Instructors are motivating and offer cues and modifications to suit different levels. I appreciate the adjustments as well. I'm a newbie to Lagree Megaformer so it also helps to just look around and copy some of the regulars. It's a quick 45 minute workout that works your entire body. Feel the burn!
