The food was great to say the least I had the TJ's Bbq platter. All the meat was cooked well... no blood anywhere. ( I'm sure you can request otherwise if you so desire.) Their sides are delicious. I had the corn grits and if they are an indication of what the other sides taste like, I will be back to try the others. The staff was friendly, patient and professional. The food came out in a timely manner. Well pleased with that. The only complaint I have is about their rolls. The rolls are NOTHING without that honey butter. If you are blessed with the burden of bringing a few of those rolls home

I was excited to see this Rib location. Unfortunately it did not meet expectations the meat was very fatty, stringy and dry see photos. The mac & cheese had an extremely high amount of salt in it. The service was terrible with only 3 tables in my area as seen in the photos. I waited extremely long for someone to come back to my table and when they finally did it was just offer up the bill of $35 for the small portion meal. The ribs also had a fishy taste to them not sure if they were cooked on the same grill or near some type of fish .

Since the prairieville location is not on Yelp yet let talk about on this location. Maybe you can help them. My wife and I went to the location in prairieville. We ordered the over cooked and previously frozen onion rings as an appetizer. We didn't eat all of them. She ordered the brisket sandwich. She thought it was good. I ordered the Sysco previously frozen burger. But the bun was great. Now I know why the place was not crowded. Over priced food with poor quality. We will not be going back there.

First time here, at the Prairieville location on Airline, and they'll definitely have repeat business from me. The quesadillas were absolutely amazing. I ordered them because all the Yelp photos of them looked amazing and sure enough they came out looking just like every picture, love the consistency there. The turkey (sandwich) was nothing too special but I enjoyed it still. The bun was by far the best part of it, so good! (I know you can't see the bun in the pic but it was like a giant Hawaiian bread bun , so soft , slightly sweet- which was perfect with the dry turkey) . The service

Horrible service! We were seated, waited for over 10min, told my husband I would give them a few more minutes, then we would leave. Suddenly, the young lady that seated us comes back and says, "Oh, she never came? Well what would you like to drink?" No apology or anything...girl bye! On the way out, I let the manager know they should do a better job at customer service...meanwhile he and another manager are in the corner on their phones...Sir, pay attention...but my money spends EVERYWHERE and not to mention I don't short change on a tip

Not bad but not great. I hate to sound like a broken record but so far no Baton Rouge BBQ establishment beats Sonny's BBQ. It's the gold standard I compare all places to. As far as the food goes, I'll start with my wife saying the onion rings were some of the best she's had. I had one and agree. We both had a rack of baby back ribs and although the flavor and especially the tenderness was there, they were pretty dry for ribs. I tried the mild sauce (you only get two choices) and was not impressed at all. Very tangy and has a sort of vinegar taste that definitely did not go with

I sat down at the table and opened my utensils wrapped in a paper napkin. They were so filthy and wet -- SO disgusting. The replacements were dry and dirty. If I had thought about it, I'd have asked for disposable utensils. This alone is cause not to return.
Prices have gone up for ribs, which is understandable under the circumstances, but the rest of my experience was not. Sweet potato fries were served room temperature cold

I really enjoy every visit here! I come for lunch and sit at the bar. The bartender Chareesa is on point! And super nice, always. I usually get the filet and it's always cooked perfect. They have carrot soufflé and that's hard to find anywhere! Today I switched it up. Everything I've had here is great. Nice, big restaurant with a good menu.

Food is good but this 5-star review is all about the service! From the moment our server introduce herself to us till we were walking out the the door...service, service, service! Ask for Petra. She is one on-the-ball, genuinely engaging, likes-what-she-does young lady. Need a menu item recommendation? She's got 'em. Want an added "extra"? She can tell you just exactly what you want. Want coffee at 6:00 in the evening, before dinner...Petra will put on a fresh pot! Again, ask for Petra!

I stopped in here for takeout on my way out of Baton Rouge--a request from my mom who said she wanted some of their ribs for dinner. So, we ordered the ribs plus their wings and an array of sides that we took home and later reheated.
Overall, the food was spot on. In fact, I'd say that the grilled wings were some of the best I've ever had! And they were huge. The sides were also all fantastic. First things first...there was no one at the door to greet us and we stood there for 5 minutes with workers walking past and us and never asking if we needed assistance. There was a young lady on the pbone and never looked up.
The manager was about to walk pass us also but we stopped him to let him know we had not been served and he really didn't seem to care much.
We finally got seated. The server was really nice, a little fragile, but nice. The prices doesn't equal the food portions. We ordered fish plate and shrimp and fish plate.
I must say the fish was seasoned pretty good.

Lee, our server was on point, the food was not. The ribs had a burnt charred taste, the brisket quesadilla was delish, however it was served with 2/3 day old guacamole and was . After many years of visits today was definitely disappointing. Oh yes, I almost forgot... my husband had a dirty knife with his utensils. I know he won't be back.

I love T J Ribs!!
Great steaks and huge baked potatoes and fresh salads every time!
Ribs are amazing as well and the service is usually fantastic but unfortunately bad servers are everywhere but 9 times outta 10 the service has also been great which makes for a wonderful meal.
My husband and I went for lunch yesterday. They are back open after the pandemic but only 25% seating capacity. This place has always been packed so it was really eerie in there it's like a ghost town. No pepper or salt on the table but they bring it upon request and no ketchup bottles or sauces on the table either

Appetizer: The smoked wings were AMAZING!!!! You can get them sauced (buffalo style) or sauce in the side. Served with ranch or bleu cheese and a giant celery spear.
Entree: I chose the pick two meats. Smoked Turkey and of course Ribs!!! Enjoyed a loaded baked potato with EVERYTHING!
Fun fact... all the staff is trained to write their names upside down when introducing themselves!
