One of my favorite places in town. Great atmosphere and waitstaff. Best restaurant for eating a full meal in the bar area and their Char-grilled oysters should definitely be a part of your meal. Nice place, with a very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I really enjoyed my duck, service was nice to us, and they gave out some great recommendations, which we appreciated a lot.

We had a really nice time. We decided to go at the last minute to celebrate my birthday and we weren't disappointed at all! The food was extremely fresh. Omg, the oysters were so good!!! The service was impeccable as our server frequently visited our table, throughly explained the specials and made suggestions. I'm a fan of soft shell crab and this was one of the best I've had. It was def the best I've had in the Baton Rouge area.

As picky as Iam, I'm in loveeee with this place the servers and bussser's are sooo attentive. I really feel like They are taking care of my every need! The atmosphere is perfect.. there's a live pianist and she sounds so wonderful. The oysters were the best and Im not even a fan! But today they made me one! our server courtliegh worked his butt off serving us and his other tables which had more people. My egg rolls were perfect! And I'm not even a fan of mustard or duck! my shrimp and grits were the best Ive ever had and I'm from Nola!!! Y'all this place is the bomb

I go to mansurs often and am usually very satisfied. But my birthday dinner was far from delightful. The tuna was overly salty. The veal oscar my friends ordered was so salty they had to send back. My sea bass was probably 5 oz if that - over a tiny bed of spinach. So dissatisfied but the company was great. Not sure if and when I'll return. So disappointing. The service was excellent.

Ok not sure how I have never stopped by here before but kicking myself for being so late to the game. The food is really good and this is a perfect spot for a date night or special occasion.
I had the redfish with added crab meat and I could have licked the plate. This plate was cooked to perfection. The shrimp and grits were good as well.
Don't forget to check in and get your oysters. Hubs really enjoyed those and said they were some of the best he has had. The fish appetizer is also good. Hubs is not a big fish person and he loved that plate as well. Oh was crispy and hot. Yum yum.

I've been back a few times since my first review and everything has been amazing. Okay, The Mahi Mahi was so-so because it's one of my last favorite dishes (swordfish is here too) but everything rose in the C mal was perfect. It was on a bed of spinach and beets, which were so yummy I could have just eaten this. It cans topped with 3 shrimp (I was told 4 or 5, but it's not a big deal), and a Boursin cream sauce) and it was exquisite. One of the things I love about Mansurs is that they do veggies amazing. I'm so glad we finally tried this place! While this restaurant is great for the locals, it's also a great place to take an out of town visitor. The French/ New Orleans atmosphere and inspired menu gives a very authentic Louisiana feel. We arrived a little late so we were sat at the bar area. My first dinner in Baton Rouge was Mansurs so I decide to visit again before I leave.
Not the best season for oyster but ordered anyway, they are super fresh but lacks the unique seafood flavor, the chargrilled ones are really good.
I got Chilean sea bass plank-roasted style with risotto. I like the lemon caper seasoning a lot but the risotto was just fine, the rice doesn’t have a chew to it.
My husband ordered ribeye, which is great, especially the wine sauce. It could be my favorite steak sauce ever since I normally hate the sour A1.
Louisiana Lust as dessert is a must have. Just get it

Love Mansurs! It's consistently exceptional food in an upscale relaxed environment. From the hostess to the waitstaff, the service is always friendly and professional. The food nor service has suffered from the pandemic and we were all pleased with our meals. The relish on the crab cakes gives the right amount of sweetness to complement the crabmeat. The fried catfish chips are a great starter and you would be hard pressed to find a better Bloody Mary. Will definitely be going back!

I came here after being a diehard fan of their sister restaurant, French Market Bistro. I had been here once long before and wasn't that impressed but gave it another try with my chef friend flying into town and visiting on Sunday when FMB was closed. We enjoyed our food. The chargrilled oysters were great, the thin catfish was yum, the gumbo wasn't special, and the fresh catch - salmon cooked over a cedar plank- was perfectly cooked. The risotto with the fish was disappointing as it tasted very flavorless as if it was just cooked with water instead of stock. The cocktail and desserts

Ok, finally found an authentic Louisiana home for our taste buds! The whole menu looks great and I assume that it's all as perfectly cooked and put together as our meals. We tried the brunch on a Saturday mid-morning and were treated like rock stars by the wait staff. Along with exceptional service you will be totally satisfied with the choice of appetizers, entrées and desserts.
The crab cakes are perfection as are the catfish chips. I could make a meal of just the appetizers. For the entrée I had shrimp and grits which were EXACTLY what you'd expect amazing bayou influenced dishes to taste

Came here for a dinner date one late evening and were quickly seated. Ordered the fish dish along with the crab cakes as an app and some oysters (if you check in here, you get three oysters for free!). Service was a little slow; however, the food was worth the wait. Very good portion sizes and recommended for dinner.

Had dinner here last night! We arrive around 7:50ish and couldnt be seated in the regular dinning area so keep that in mind, so we sat at the bar!
Our server was London and she was very friendly!
We ordered the steak and lobster ($54) and the Duck Mansur ($24) both of the dishes came with Risotto , and overall it was very tasty!
But Ive had similar dishes elsewhere and for a fraction of the price, so it was a nice place , nice environment, nice food but pretty pricey!
