Another day, another ramen! Started off with the duck Bao since I was going with pork for the ramen. Excellent, and highly recommend. Would love to try some more of their buns, but I was here this time for the ramen, which was amazing. I got the Flying Pig ramen (add an egg, for sure). Broth was very rich and flavorful, heavy on garlic (which I love). The addition of the crispy brussel sprouts is something I haven’t seen before, but have to say it was well done and really complimented the bowl well. This is a top 5 spot for ramen in San Diego, and easily the best in Little Italy.

The place wasn't too crowded with no table wait time which is rare in Little Italy. I do enjoy the character steam buns and the bao bao buns. I also got a philadelphia roll and my friends got a poke bowl. They didn't like the bowl too much but since this place is more for buns and noodles I would suggest ordering what they are known for.

We went here around 2:00 p.m. and the place was a little busy. We were originally told that it would take 20 minutes to wait for a table. Which isn't a big deal so I gave the lady my number. After waiting over an hour she came out and asked what our reservation was under and I told her and she said she text me over 25 minutes ago. I showed her my phone and I did not receive the text.
We sat down and the place was a little dirty on the walls and floor. We decided to stay with the bao buns and animal shaped buns. The best out of the four we tried was the shrimp. For some reason they had Coleslaw

This was a pleasant surprise! The food was fresh tasting, the temperature was perfect and the presentation was great on the eyes. We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed the Bulgogi Beef Udon, Karrage chicken and Bao Bao pork belly buns. Prices were extremely reasonable and the portions were plenty to curb our afternoon hunger. The ambiance was comfortable, open with good lighting.

Nice place with great food. They have these cute little character buns which come in both sweet and savory options. We got chicken, beef, pork, Nutella. The pork (pig) ones were the best!!! I will go all the way here just for these alone. I had my first ever sushi here and I liked it despite my qualms. Also got the ramen but the buns were the highlight.
