Conveniently located to downtown San Diego and Orange County, right off of interstate 5 in coastal Carlsbad, Green Dragon Tavern & Museum is the ideal location for your next event. Our venue has a plethora of options to suit your social or corporate events. Our beautiful private banquet rooms can accommodate receptions up to 220 or smaller intimate gatherings of 25 or more.

I’ve driven past this place so many times and finally got to stop by for lunch.
Great drink menu and a standard New England foods. Rueben was great and the garlic fries are fantastic. Highly enjoyed the chowdhar fries.
The clam chowder had carrots in it which was different to me but gave it a nice sweetness. Didn’t get to see much of the museum today but looked like quite a bit of history throughout

Reasonable prices. With very high ceilings, it can get noisy during busy periods, however, that can also add to the enjoyable vibe.
I want to keep going back because there are so many things on the menu that I love, but couldn't order them all! Try the Green Dragon. Allow extra time to visit the detailed Revolutionary War Museum that's attached to the restaurant. Worth your time!

Our annual Christmas party was held here at the Green Dragon Tavern this year, the chicken plate was absolutely delicious. The mashed potatoes were excellent, Green beans cooked perfectly and the chicken had a Dijon mustard cream sauce that complimented both the chicken and the potatoes. From my second picture I'm sure you can see that I loved it and most definitely would order it again.

First, let's speak to the museum. A nice, well thought out historical display with some very interesting artifacts and reproduced documents. I came away with having learned a couple things about our founding American forefathers. Next, the Green Dragon Tavern. We arrived early and were seated at the bar. We had cocktails which were expertly made in the happy hour portion of the evening. We sampled yummy appetizers which were adjusted for vegan dietary needs! And then we ordered a vegan vegetarian pizza to go, and it was delicious as well. For the quality of the food and the environment, the price

This place is beautiful! The woodwork is exquisite. Like a stepping back in time.
I had shrimp tacos, spicy. And delicious. Other adults had lobster rolls and loved them. Myl! kids ha a great hamburger and chicken tenders with fries. I can't wait to go back. Service here was excellent! We never had to ask, she anticipated our needs. That was perfect!
