Located on the Placer Wine Trail, only minutes northeast of Sacramento, and about halfway between Auburn, Newcastle, and Lincoln, our rustically elegant tasting shed and picnic areas are surrounded by picturesque views of the Sierra's, the Sutter Buttes, and even the coastal mountain range. To us, it's simple - living with purpose and creating expressions of passion one small-lot at a time!
With the rules continuously being adjusted, we will do our very best to keep our customers apprised of this changing situation. At this time, the stay at home order for our region has been lifted and we are open for onsite consumption. Our spacious property has plenty of room for social distancing.

The dream that is PaZa began 2005 when owners Pamela and Zane Dobson set aside some pretty extreme sports and a love of extraordinary automobiles (at least for a few more years), sold their home to buy an old farmhouse, and traded the Porsche for a tractor. Since then, the PaZa team has been sharing an over-the-top enthusiasm for everything related to the world of wine.
Escape to the Shed for a taste (or more) of our award-winning, placer grown wines. We are proud to provide a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere. Our open-air tasting shed and picnic area features views of the Sutter Buttes, and even the coastal mountain range. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic or snacks to enjoy with our wines.
Our wines are currently available to order online for pickup at the winery. If you would like to arrange a shipment please contact us directly. Wines may only be shipped to legally compliant states, and only be sold and delivered to persons 21 years of age or older. Please see our full policy for more details.
We were interviewed by Good Day Sacramento on our involvement with the Placer Wine Trails Holiday in the Hills charity toy drive. Check it out! Local chef & entrepreneur and sometimes PaZa vendor dishes about local food & favorite venues. PaZa Estate Winery was featured on the cover of the Sacramento Magazine Boutique Wine edition.
Harvest 2021 is finishing up and it is time again to celebrate yet another successful year with some of our favorite people, our Yeehaw Wine Club members. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Please purchase a ticket for each adult member attending. Guests are welcome, members must purchase a ticket for each guest.

My friends and I just visited this location Saturday January 23rd 2021, and we had an amazing experience talking with Zane about his knowledge in the wine business. He and his wife Pam are the ownwes of this beautiful location. They start running since 2005. We enjoyed every moment there taking a lot of pictures and social media snaps. Lovely property to bring your dog, a picnic basket and seat down to watch the sunset and overlook the vineyards sipping their great wine!

The views and vinyard were gorgeous! The wine baskets to carry our flights to seating were also such a cute idea! Only 3 stars because the service was not good. The lady who helped us was very unfriendly and seemed bothered. There was also no water available to either purchase or fill a water bottle.

Hats off to anyone that is willing to stay outside wearing a mask in 105 degree heat. My sis and I braved the elements with the promise of warming the spirits and the soul with a few glasses. We shared the flight for the reasonable price of $13 and were able to try 4 different wines. Wish I was smart enough to take a pic of the flight basket, but I guess that will be a reason to visit again. The property is lovely, with plenty of space and the wine is sure to be a crowd pleaser. We had to bring a bottle of the 2016 Barbera home with us!

A little tricky to find but just keep driving on what seems and probably is a 1 lane long driveway / road that opens up to a parking area. Then stroll up to the super cute lean-to and peruse your options and order. Once your order is ready, you can sit at a little table looking towards the vineyard or some other tables by the order area or walk a few steps down and lounge on the wooden chairs s lined up under the trees that is mere steps to the vineyard. You can get a good look at the vines and grapes. Note.... don't touch.
We tried all five wines.
They were interesting and not your typical

Beautiful location. Tucked away in Auburn's hills. The owners and staff welcomed us into there tasting area. We are from Napa area and have never had such a great experience as we did at PaZa. My husband favors full-bodied red and I tend to savor dry whites. There wasn't one wine that we tasted that didn't bring out the quality of the varietals. We have joined the membership club for no reason other than we love their wine and are looking for an excuse to come back. The grounds are beautiful yet private easy to social distance. Clean and yet romantic for me and my husband spending

We so much like going to PAZA, it is fun to go there taste great wine and talk with the people working there. All are so friendly and talkative. I do believe the wine is excellent, and like their unique varieties, with a great new white wine too.
We usually pick up a sandwich, in town, go there sit at a nice table, and take in the view, and of course great wine too. Try it too, it is fun.
PS: With the Covad-19, I made reservations to pick up some wine this weekend. Nice.

PaZa was one of our stops on the "Holiday in the Hills' Placer wine tour (we lost count on which number this was but we are going to guess about the 5th winery on the tour). We were greeted by two staff members, only one of which I got the name 'Logan.' The drive through auburn was a pretty one with rain and all.
When we walked back to the tasting shed we were greeted by Cindy who took care of us while we were there staying under the protection of the rain around the heater. It was here they also had winter squash soup which was a good palette cleanser between the wines

Zane bent over backwards for us when we came out for a private tasting. I grew up in the house they converted to their winery, so Zane let us enjoy a great tasting and even gave us a full tour of the property. He is extremely hospitable and knowledgeable on all aspects of wine! I'd highly recommend PaZa and look forward to going back the next time I'm in Auburn!

My family and I have been going to PaZa for years now and they have become dear friends. We are all wine club members but beyond that, we are friends and they love their customers and treat everyone so wonderful. Some of my favorite memories consist of going to PaZa and catching up and tasting their amazing wines! The view is amazing and I take pictures every single time like it’s my first visit! Thanks Zane, Pamela and Cindy for everything you do for us and sharing your home with the community!

My wife and I really enjoyed an afternoon at the vineyard, and want to thank Zane for such a wonderful tour of the facility, and the opportunity to do some private barrel tasting with a simple, but nice touch cheese/fruit/salami plate. We have been all over the Placer County Wine trail and are a big fan of many of the wineries. This was our first visit to PaZA, and the kindness and openness about the process was infectious and we look forward to visiting often.

I absolutely LOVE small boutique wineries. The opportunity to speak to the vintners and try special wines is always amazing. I was so looking forward to the chance to taste these wines after reading the reviews on Yelp
The winery is tucked way back off of the road and not easy to find but I was determined. Upon arriving we saw the "Tasting Shed" and made our way over, expecting to be greeted. However no one was around. The shed was open and a radio was playing but no one to be found. We waited to see if anyone would show up, no! We wandered around enjoying the view and two llamas all
