Wise Villa Winery is a great option when it comes to going to a winery that is somewhat local without having to drive all the way to Napa. I must say that driving from Sacramento to Wise Villa Winery takes about 40-45 minutes and the roads there are winding as well as some of the areas being only single lane going each way. Please please have a designated driver!
Once you get closer to the winery, of course you see the stunning vineyard. Wise Villa Winery is definitely a place to go if you're trying to impress a date and is also a good place to make reservations to

This place was great. They helped coordinate a proposal and dinner. I was very pleased and appreciative for Frank the coordinator who made sure everything went well. He made sure my expectations were met. Also the wine and dinner was the best. My quests all loved the food it was amazing! Thank you Wise Villa!

What an incredibly beautiful winery. The grounds are spectacular, the staff is kind and attentive, and the wine is impressive. We made an afternoon our our visit enjoying tastings, their charcuterie board, and took a glass of wine to wander around the vineyard. We left with a few bottles and will definitely be returning again soon!

4 of us went for wine tasting (we take all our family here) we showed up early at 12:00 pm and was told, that we couldn't sit in the bar area for tasting. Instead we were offered an outside table area in 40 degree cold even though there was plenty of room in the heated inside bar area ??? .
We chose to leave and we will not be back.

This place was wonderful! I went one night for date night and then went back and took a group of friends for the full wine tour, tasting, and lunch. Dr. Lee is so knowledgeable, the wines were good, and the food was amazing.
My group of friends are extremely picky but they had nothing but good things to say.
It was so nice to find such a jewel so close to home. We will definitely be back.

Little background on myself when it comes to reviews. Jk, who gives a sh-- about me. This winery had it all until I met the burger and the wine flight. I love the atmosphere and ambiance, but the wine was a little tart. I want u to taste it for yourself so u can see what I'm talking about. Each red wine had a hint of tart that sticks with you. If you like tart than this is for you. The flat bread is a different animal though. Sooooo good!!!! The burgers description was amazing but the taste was too flame broiled and as juicy as it was, it turned dry during the chew. I wish I could have tasted

The location has a stunning hilltop view. On the drive up to the main restaurant, you have a view of the variety of grapes grown on property. There are plenty of photo opportunities .
Seems to be family owned and the staff are super friendly and accommodating.
The tasting
- We ordered a bottle of the Blanc de Blancs sparkling and it was just okay and is a bit dry for my liking. The flight tastings were also okay, the pours seemed pretty light and are provided in plastic wine tumblers. This took away from the ambiance unfortunately.
- The outdoor tents provide a beautiful view of the vineyard

The food was exquisite and the atmosphere was subtle if you want a romantic private dinner. The staff is super friendly and I would go back again. Only thing is this is a high end restaurant so don't think you can walk out with a meal for two under 100 dollars. But what they do there it is 100% worth it.

Came here for the first time since covid. Masks were optional. When we arrived, they had a lot of tables open but bc they didn't have enough staff, we had to wait to be seated. We ordered a bottle of wine then got some food. I got the chicken sandwich and my friend got the artisan plate. Food was served quickly and the servers were friendly. The scenery around the vineyard was pretty and the wine prices are reasonable. We would return

PARKING: There is parking onsite but it may be dusty since they were under a bit of construction, but it might be done by now.
We started with a wine tour, which was unfortunately indoors where the distillery was. Not a nice site compared to the warm bright outdoors, but oh well. No one wears a mask here so I felt like the only idiot with mine one (whatever). We were the last party to arrive so it was embarrassing that we were a bit late.
It's a rare experience where the CEO of this huge winery gives the tour and explains everything. It was nice that at one point

Love this local winery!
The bistro is so good, I highly recommend making reservations for lunch or dinner. The food is amazing! I have had the chicken sandwich, artisan plate, caesar salad and flat bread. Everything is so yummy!
The grounds are gorgeous, they also have a really cute picnic area and lovely outdoor seating.
I love their Rose and Sparkling Wine, so refreshing and light.
Service is always excellent here, great wait staff who are incredibly friendly and always take great care of you!
Oh and get the cheesecake if you have room for dessert!

Beautiful day to grab a glass of wine and be outside. The vineyards are beautiful and wine is good. Our favorite is their Rose it's a nice blend and very refreshing. They don't give you options to taste different wines they have a set flight of wines on their tasting menu. It's nothing like Napa or Sonoma tasting but it's still very nice and has a great view. We will be back especially when they have live bands again. The staff is very friendly l. We loved being greeted by the family dog Loki. It made our visit!!

We are new to this area and decided to check out the winery and have dinner too. We requested and got outdoor seating. We had a beautiful sunset view. We had a regular wine flight and a reserve flight.
I had the halibut special, which was fantastic. My husband had the risotto, which was equally great.
Ordered two bottles of wine, which eliminated the regular wine flight tasting fee.
Finished off with gelato for a perfect evening.

I was looking forward to visiting this winery, as it was recommended by a colleague from work. The drive was easy, and the wineries are beautiful. We had an appointment booked online and arrived 10 minutes early.
I was greeted by a woman asking if I would like wine who was NOT wearing a mask. Baffling how the customers are wearing masks and not the staff. This was very frustrating as someone who took the time to make a reservation, drive out, and expecting that COVID-19 safety is taken into consideration as advertised (and expected by CALIFORNIA STATE LAW). Hostess and servers were wearing masks

On this day it was my mother's, my grandma's, and my aunts birthday so we went to this winery. After arriving late we sat down and tried their appetizers. So far the steak bites and the Margherita pizza were delicious. I enjoyed the taste but the steak can be better. Overall it is preferences and I have my own. For the main course we had the house ragu, cacciatore (I think) pasta, filet mignon, Atlantic salmon, and the winery burger. They were all delicious. What I didn't like much was the house ragu. Knowing that I'm still a bit underage I will update later in the future for the wine. Overall

I’ve been two dozens and dozens of wineries. Today we came just to try a flight... but ended up stayed for an amazing meal, flights, and tapped into a couple of bottles. We even joined the club. It’s that good. Also... try the cider. This will become our new favorite place on the wine trail. Can’t wait to be back.

Food & wine was excellent. Vineyards are beautiful. Tour does not include wine tasting. Wine tasting is $15 per person + tour fee. There is a long lecture for the tour. If you have trouble standing on concrete for longer than 45 mins, do not book the tour. The lecture could not be heard due to the loud machinery & workers pushing carts between the audience. The lecture continued through the food being served, it would have been nice to politely leave us alone to eat. Overall, I would have booked a lunch or dinner reservation instead, regret booking the tour.

This place was absolutely wonderful! We were seated outdoors in a covered patio with a nice view of the vineyard. We started with the five wine flight and a fruit/cheese/meat plate. I also ordered a glass of hard apple cider that was aged in old whisky barrels. I cannot recommend this enough! My wife had tenderloin over mashed potatoes and I had the beef and lamb ragu. We ended this very casual meal with dark chocolate truffles and a sangria with raspberry sorbet float. Can't wait to go back!

Very popular spot with beautiful views and nice building. Wines are all very young and sweet tasting, and just changed the menu so lunch is no longer an option just tasting plates which were a challenge trying to eat rice without any serving utensils... Beautiful patio not dog friendly which is also a waste. Friendly staff, but food and wine holding back the experience.
