The food was amazing. The service even better! The atmosphere is great, you can go there with your kids, your date, your girlfriends and it feels right for every scenario. Shout out to Jesus for his amazing customer service and for his menu suggestions. Definitely coming back! P.S. Wine bottles are half of Mon & Tues :)

After not coming here for the past 10 years at least, I had the opportunity to come for dinner with a friend. It's a good as I remembered. The atmosphere, small, dark, quiet is perfect for a romantic dinner or a conversation with a friend. Both the food and service are above and beyond with reasonable prices. So many things on the menu are fantastic. I love the bruschetta, the salad, the minestrone soup, the eggplant Parmesan. My friend raved about the salmon. We celebrated with a slice of Italian cream cake, though I confess I ate most of it! Thank you Amore for consistently good service

This place has been here and consistently amazing since I was a kid. My husband and I are great cooks, and don't want to pay for a meal out that is sub par. Everything I have had here is a step above. Great atmosphere, great service, phenomenal food. It's a local staple for a reason. Jesus, Patrick, Rey, and Raoul are the best.

Got the dinner portion chicken tetrazzini with a side of garlic bread today to split. Since it was the dinner portion, it came with a side salad (or I could have had minestrone if I had preferred soup) and a few slices of regular bread. The menu described this dish as creamy, and when I first opened the lid, I have to admit that I was skeptical as it did not look very creamy at all. But Y'ALL...it was just due to the travel time because sauce, meat, and utter scrumptuous-ness had made its way to the bottom of the bowl in the time it took me to drive back to my office and got ready to eat

Seriously Horrible! - Have no clue as to why anyone would give it a five star rating. First visit to this restaurant 15 years ago when I moved to the Big D - I remember fresh homemade food, checker table cloths, fantastic service, ambiance, etc. Fast forward 15 years later not so much. My girlfriend and I dropped in for lunch today to celebrate my birthday - on a whim.
To start with, thou I told them why we had come for lunch, not even an acknowledgment. I could live with that. I'm old so who cares.
Onto the food, absolutely nothing was homemade, fresh or even tasteful.

My husband and I prefer family owned places over corporate giants and these guys knocked it out of the park. We even took a Margarita Pizza home for our son. The husband is from Queens so he is picky about sandwiches and pizza. It was really good even cold this morning. The service was outstanding. I really liked my mixed grilled plate. Despite being packed they cleared the table tops quickly and seated everyone in really good time. We saw both couples and families which was nice. I am glad my sister found this place by accident. It was worth the drive from Garland. We are going to try everything

Not sure how to start. Pretty high hopes to try something new. The mozzarella sticks were frozen but that can be expected. House salad dressing was good. I had the tetrazini was beyond terrible. Not sure I should taste cream of chicken and either boiled chicken or canned chicken was evident. Maybe I ordered the wrong things but this is not an authentic Italian restaurant.

I would agree with the other reviews. I've been coming here since 1992 and it was amazing at one time.
It's no longer amazing. All three of our dishes were bland and not fresh. I took my daughter and son there because I wanted them to have great Italian food and it was very disappointing. My 17 year old was shocked that I raved so much about the place.
Service was just ok, nothing special. There's other places to eat great Italian food!!

I'd give it a 0 if I could. Their vegetables were not fresh! My broccoli was literally brown. The entire meal tasted terrible and I ended up just throwing it away. They also threw a few slices of bread in my to-go bag. Which just seemed a little strange to me...but I'm not comparing about free bread.

Another great dinning experience. We met some friends there and it was a party of 5. We had 3 appetizers: calamari light and tender probably one of the best around, meatballs with sauce moist with great flavor, garlic bread with an olive spread was ok.
Entrees- Chicken Genoese delicious, pasta with oil and garlic delicious, veal parm delicious, veal piccata delicious, polenta side delicious and the salad was ok.
Several has the minestrone soup but I didn't taste that one although they said it was great.
The restaurant is super small and no reservations are accepted. We waited about 30

5 starts to somewhere way better than Olive Garden.
My husband took me here for a late Valentine's date, I was in the hospital 2/14. He was looking for a romantic yet affordable place to eat, knowing I live to eat Italian. Affordable, cute and cozy feel, and the drinks are HUGE you won't need a refill.
We came at 2 o'clock, there was outdoor seating but I wanted to see the inside of the cozy restaurant. We picked our own booth, close to the back where we could see the desserts. We had the lunch menu, I ordered Spaghetti with tomato sauce and meatballs, he had the Chicken Parmesan

Ok so it may not be a great stand alone restaurant on any one issue. The food is good, house wine, check , atmospher better than average. But, add all this up and you have a hit. So I suggest you go especially if you are wanting a low key romantic spot that hardens back to simpler times. It's getting difficult to find these types of places. Any of the red wines by the glass are good.
The meat lasagna was tasty without being overly filling. Chicken tetrazzini was warm and creamy with a nice size serving. The waiter was non intrusive and only there whenever you needed him. I made a reservation
