The staff is polite. This place seemed to have changed the way they were doing TO GO orders. But didn't post it. A whole lot of back and forth and waiting. The time standing and waiting due to miscommunication. My one star is due to me asking the manager about my take-out mixup. I was going to ask him a quick question. He flat out IGNORED me in front of other customers. A lady even told him that I was trying to speak. He ignored her attempt to get his attention as well. A lot of people saw him ignore me and reacted likewise. What a way to start the year!!

Daily eating food is good. Order their Christmas Dinner last year it was great. Ordered Christmas Dinner this year not good. Corn over cooked. Turkey was like processed turkey no one ate more than a bit or two. Had to throw it away. Everything else was good. You should eat there any day. But don’t order the family holiday meal.

The food was fine. But 2 other people and me stood at the to go line for 15 minutes. The manager is at the check out for the line and he doesn't say anything to us. There is a sign saying you can't get to go order through the line until 3. It's 2:30. We went and got in line and got our orders. No one there was friendly

I ordered Chicken Pie and it was horrible; another customer ordered the same and she also said the same about hers. My cousin ordered cubed steak, rice and greens; she also mentioned the food being terrible and had it removed from the ticket. Do you have no new cooks or management? I've ate here numerous times with good foods. I don't know what happened today but I definitely won't be back. The food was barely warm and the water had a mold like taste. I pray I don't get sick.

We went through the line to order food.
The food was bag to go.
Condiments for eating her bag properly.
The food. was excellent.
Host were excellent .
We got the bill at he end were it was bag.
We paid at register there at the exit door.
They also have dine in.
The server host will bring your food to you also.
We love eating at C&H Cafeteria in Kernersville,NC
A 👍 recommendation for overs to eat. The cost is not as low as we wish it could be but,it's not as high cost as some other places eating placing either. Home style food..

There's no comparison between C&H and K&W. The prices are lower, and the food is SO much better. They always have lots of hot, fresh food to choose from, and it tastes great. I drive from Walkertown, bypassing a K&W 5 minutes from me. I've never been disappointed here, while the last 3 times have been horrible at the latter. My kids also love it because they get to visually choose they're favorite dessert.

Don't try to get take out unless you have a LONG time to wait. It has always been like this; it's not a post-pandemic employee shortage. Today when I walked in there was one person ahead of me and their order was already in progress, so I was hopeful. It still took FORTY MINUTES to get my order. There was only one person working the take out counter. She could not have worked harder or been nicer, but one is not enough. I told the manager I would not be back due to the long wait, but he made it clear that he didn't care.

Old school cafeteria with tons of comfort food and healthier options mixed in. My adopted mother took me and it felt like the TV show Cheers as everyone knew her name. Let's just say we were warmly greeted. I was told the lay of the land that started with a mix of salads. It then continued with more sides, a mix of proteins, an array of desserts and breads. A nice and funny dude was pouring the fountain drinks. Everything was socially distanced and safe with everyone wearing masks and gloves. All the seating was separated as some booths and tables were blocked to keep people six feet away

This place is decent, I am guessing I came after the dinner rush and got old food. I came around 3pmish. The taste was a little bland, but I used pepper to season it up. The service was good, and the employees were friendly. The restaurant was clean. I will probably visit again, but next time I do visit at lunch time.

I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few people that frequents this restaurant and doesn't have a membership to AARP. I don't come extremely often, but I do enjoy the food and experience when I go.
It's your typical cafeteria style restaurant, grab a tray, roll of silverware, and scoot on down the line asking for the food items you want. There are salads, meat proteins, a variety of veggies, and deserts, all served in single portions. They give you your ticket at the end of the line, which you use to pay for at the end of your meal, and you seat yourself. The service is semi

My husband and I met friends there for dinner. The location, choices, and pocketbook fit the bill. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. I had the fried whiting, fried okra, and creamed corn. The haddock was hot and crispy on the outside. The inside was flaky. The fried okra and creamed corn dishes were average.

Good southern home cooking at it's best, cafeteria style! Country style steak, fried chicken, Turkey and dressing, roast beef to name a few entrees. Mash potatoes, Mac n cheese and green beans are a few sides, salad bar for a bit healthier fare as well as baked chicken or fish. Perfect for families and large groups as well as a quick bite with friends or a dessert date with your significant other. Staff is friendly and helpful, always a step away to fill your cup! Affordable a la carte menu, free, ample parking & wi fi. Great place with great food!! Wonderful friendly service! Wheel chair

I stopped in for dinner with my daughter while on a six hour road trip because we wanted some "real" food and this place did not disappoint!! The food was just like my Grandma used to make but with a lot more variety!! All the staff on the food line were super friendly, helpful, and so patient with my daughter who had never been to a cafeteria before so was full of questions. The staff on the floor kept our drinks refilled and our dishes cleared. The other customers were an absolute joy as well with most of them being elderly and looking for company.

Had chopped steak, roasted potatoes, garden salad, and cornbread. Glad I didn't eat breakfast, because you won't leave here hungry. Polite staff, plenty of seating, and nothing fancy. Observed many local people greeting eachother. That's a good sign.
Clean, basic, healthier than fast good. Family cafeteria.

IT'S AN OFF-MALL CAFETERIA. Set your expectations there and you will not be disappointed. We've been going here for years; it's a great, inexpensive, filling option for my meatloving husband and mostly-vegetables me. The green salads are very fresh and crisp (and depending on the day include Caesar and spinach salads) and because of the high volume of business most everything else is very fresh, too. We love the ranch chicken casserole, the chicken pan pie, the chopped steak with gravy, the barbecued chicken, and the fried chicken livers. I love the black eyed peas, fried okra

This has been my go to place for lunch for a long time. The food is alway excellent, prices are good and staff is helpful. Amazing ranch dressing and if they have the honeybun cake, don't pass it up. Great to go option! Today I request a special salad and they went above and beyond to accommodate! Love the C & H!!!

In the context of the Southern Cafeteria World, yes I think it deserves a 4. The fried whiting and chicken pan pie never disappoint. The turnip greens are great...if doused in enough hot vinegar. And that is the only way to eat overcooked greens, anywhere.
Look, if you were not raised on this kind of food you probably will not like it. But if you were raised up on "country cooking" then you will probably find some things you really like here.

Worst managment for a food service business I have ever seen. 25 minute wait for some fried chicken. Complained that the rest of the food would be cold and deserved a discount. The manager was a total butt about the situation. Will never eat there again. I suggest going to McDonalds instead. Its probably better food anyway. I put 0 stars but it wont let me.

Thought I would try the fried green tomatoes today, which I did. There were no tomatoes inside the thick tough crust. The fragments that were inside were red. I broke all of them open and then called the waitress lady over and she took them to the manager. He came over and said so you ate the tomatoes out! I said there were none inside! He said that couldn't be because we put them in by hand!!! The friend with me who witnessed the whole thing said there were no tomatoes in them. He said well I will mark the price off your ticket but don't get them here again. I said, "don&apos

My first visit here was in 2008 & for some reason, I did not return until this year. Had my third visit this year today and it was very good. Salads were fresh; grilled fish & veggies tasty & my wife liked the cake. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable. We will return when we are in Northgate area.

We were out shopping. We needed to stop for lunch. We wanted to go somewhere nearby we'd never been ... so we jumped in line at the C & H Cafeteria.
Decor: It's a cafeteria. Don't go there for the ambiance. The good news is that it's clean and I didn't see much wear and tear.
Crowd: You'll see -everybody- there. Young, old, families, singles, blue collar workers, white collar workers, black, white and everyone in between.
Service: The line moved pretty fast. The servers were quick to get whatever you wanted. The recently vacated seats were bussed quickly so
