Ever since New Management took over It's been worse than ever. Been paying for a parking space I can't even use due to management letting another person who don't live in the complex Park in there And then call give them headups before the tow company got here. I wouldnt recommend anyone to start renting here to JUST GO buying your own home same price won'thave deal with management. Then having a pipe leak in my ceiling causing mold which they only cut out the mold pieces and duck taped it back up and painted over it . Its looks beautiful on the outside but that's it. Now due to continuously leaking

Nice place to live — Alterra has been an overall nice place to live. Property staff has been wonderful to with. Maintenance staff has addressed any maintenance issues in a timely manner and they have all been friendly and helpful. It really is a well-kept place, the buildings are always clean and the garden is well kept. Only the price and resident fees are high. I've been living here for 4 years, I hope that this new administration will continue to be enchanted by Alterra.

The management team is the worst in the overlook ridge apartment complex. The management sucks! I pay the rent by check on time but they did not scan the check as soon as possible. And charged me late fee. The front desk person did not give any clear answer for that. I will seek for legal help for this!

As a long-term resident, I am appalled at the level of service at Alterra. I've been staying at Alterra for over 5 years and the mail/package situation has continually deteriorated. I've spent over $100,000 in rent over the years and I still cannot rely on this company to receive my mail in an acceptable and efficient way. Packages are left all over the building. I have pictures of packages being left on the floor in hallways, overflowing in mailrooms, as well as sitting at the front door where the public is open to walk in and grab what they see fit. This is ridiculous and should not be accepted

I applied for these apartments almost a whole month ago I paid $1000 for a deposit and I haven’t gotten any update on my application I call them every day and they don’t pick up. They picked up once and told me nothing to just wait like I have more time to wait to move from my current apartment these people are unprofessional.

In my four years in this apartment complex, I lived in two different apartments. I absolutely loved everything.
Every request I had for repairs, was promptly done. The repair staff is kind and extremely professional.
Halls are always clean, and every day I go out to walk my daughter in the amazing park they have I see people cleaning and taking care of this place.
I have scheduled rooms and services without a problem and the leasing office staff never failed me, specially Denira and Malinda.
If there was a rating to express something more than 5 stars that would be my rating.

Don't move here! SUCKS Management!! neighborhood is so annoying with walking so loud! I can't here every steps they walked! Complain to management many times but nothing better! All management staff are not friendly and useful. Should go to the customer service class!
Trust me, this property is not luxury as they're present. Not worst to the rent. Judge you from how dress you wear. Look down on people and ignore complain or request we need!

I know usually people come and write bad things about places where they live. But guys, this is 100 percent legit.
Try to stay away from this place. Everything looks nice but the reality is something different.

Overall, the apartment complex is beautiful and the apartments are large and modern. As many have stated in prior reviews, the management staff is very unhelpful. On two occasions now, I have had packages lost and the office couldn't care less. In fact I was rudely informed over the phone that it was not their responsibility to manage my packages. Then whose responsibility is it? I understand that no system is perfect, but to lose two packages over a 3 month period is simply unacceptable. One question I have why would they have visitor parking in the way back not even near the front door where the buzz in is and have resident parking in the front that doesn't make any sense
So if you have a guest they have to drive around the back of the building to a visitor spot if there's even one available and then walk all the way to the front to use the buzz in? Shouldn't the residence parking be in the back since they have a key to the back door in the garage ?

I am moving to Boston and looking for an apartment. I called 3 apartment complexes Friday after Thanksgiving and this was the only one that went to voice mail. As of Monday noon there has been no return call. I called them and the answering service would not let you select the option to talk to someone. When you try to select the option, nothing happens. Guess they don't want my business.

After living in apartments the past years we never considered any of the those places our "home" until we joined this community. We certainly had a hand full of "pros and cons" but at the end of the day the positives always won hands down. When we first thought of moving here the leasing team sold us for sure! Now that our lease ended we talked with management (specifically Malinda) and the transfer process was even easier than we expected. Thanks to Malinda for being so helpful, tentative, and kind we moved into a new unit within 2 weeks from when we notified them we wanted

I have lived here for the past 8 months and now it is time for my review. I will try to be fair, as I always am. First, let's talk about what is good or above average: the apartments are all fairly new, they come with the washer/dryer pre-installed (at least mine did), the neighbors are ok, but you might encounter the rude northeastern attitude at the gym or the loud idiot talking on the phone with thru hi speaker at the business office (true story).

This review is for leasing specialist Craig Kesicke. My husband and I had a tour of Alterra at Overlook Ridge yesterday evening. Craig was phenomenal and patient with answering all of our questions (which were not few).
He was very polite and energetic and the apartments, amenities and overall community environment at Alterra was phenomenal and we are very excited to begin this journey and share of life and home with the staff here!

I am going to start with the positives to give this place some credit. Maintenance requests have been addressed in a timely manner and repaired fully and the management have always been friendly when I have spoken to them. Parking fees are very reasonable for the area ($60 for garage). However, this complex leaves a lot to be desired. Utility bills are exorbitantly high (we were billed almost 150 for water one month and our electricity increased despite switching on the heat during the winter which is supposed to be gas). Also, rent seems reasonable until they tac on the alarm fee and the amenity

We were enticed by the ~$1800 advertised rent price for a 2br and quickly signed a lease for 18 months. The total cost of living here turned out to be over $2400. The leasing agent claimed that normal utility costs are about 150 for a 2br in this building, but we now see that is not the case. I checked with a neighbor to see if our bills are normal, and their costs are even higher than these.

I think with a large apartment complex, everyone is going to have different experiences - maybe crummy neighbors who are too loud late at night, etc, but I guess I was just fortunate. I rarely see my neighbors (no different from anywhere else I've lived), but when I do, they're very friendly. I'm also fortunate enough to be able to afford a top floor, corner apartment with a view of the Boston skyline - so I don't have to deal with upstairs neighbors. I received my first month's rent free and chose to pay for covered parking for my car. That was $65/month. Utilities
