Courage doesn't happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life. Whether you're feeling inundated by challenging life experiences, navigating life transitions, or struggling with a relationship that's depleting your personal resources, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
You don't have to figure this out on your own. The fundamental value of therapy is being able to speak with an empathic person about what is happening in your life. It is an opportunity to be heard and recognized in the midst of whatever is occurring for you.

Knowing yourself, and believing that within you is the capacity to create happiness, success, contentment, and growth, is at the heart of personal change. I see this as the focus of our work together. I view the counseling process as a collaborative effort; together we will set the goals for counseling and work toward meeting those goals.
If you are considering therapy but you're not sure whether or not it's for you, I invite you to call me for a free consultation. You can either email me at sandy.kilada@gmail.com or call me at (540)358-0336. In a brief phone conversation, I will gather some basic information and we can discuss any practical concerns or preferences you may have.
For Women who have lost their Mothers through death, illness, separation, or estrangement. When a mother dies, a daughter grieves. And then her life moves on. In the context of individual therapy, also referred to as counseling or psychotherapy, you and I will work one-on-one in a safe, authentic, and confidential environment. Together we will explore emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that may be impeding your growth, and identify aspects of your life that you'd like to change.
One plus one does not equal two. When we decide to join together as a couple, we invest part of ourselves in order to create a powerful and important new entity.
