Or perhaps you feel plagued by emotional stress or the lingering sense that life is not as good as it could be? At those times when you feel at odds with yourself and those around you, it helps to have a safe space to explore these issues and, in the process, create a stronger sense of who you are and step forward into a brighter, more authentic future.

I help clients better understand themselves, their feelings, decisions, and relationships. In the process, clients find themselves feeling less distress and anxiety and more joy, peace, and confidence. To do this, I will work closely with you to overcome what gets in the way of your having the life you want.
Services
I am a licensed psychologist in the District of Columbia (License # PSY1001488). I graduated with honors from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts and received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University's APA-accredited program. I completed a Post-Doctoral fellowship at Georgetown University Counseling and Psychiatric Service, where I provided individual and group psychotherapy to college and graduate students.
Having trained in various psychological approaches and believing in the uniqueness of every person, I tailor therapy to meet the needs of you as an individual. My therapeutic style is steeped in compassion, recognizing that every individual has a reason for what he or she does, even if sometimes the results of those actions are counterproductive.
Couples therapy can be beneficial to couples at any stage of relationship. Whether just starting out, preparing for relationship transitions such as marriage or a baby, or contemplating the possible end to a relationship, couples therapy can help you approach your relationship from a new perspective, identify problematic conflicts, address and repair wounds, and provide clarity and resolution regarding your relationship.
Groups are an inherent aspect of life, whether it be at work, within a family, or in one's social life. Group therapy can be a powerful experience to learn more about yourself, about others, and about your relationships.

In group therapy, you can learn how to connect with others more authentically, to express conflict and difference more effectively, and to be able to speak to your individual experience in a direct, honest way, leaving you with more insight into your own inner, emotional world as well as more insight into your relational dynamics.
I am considered an "out-of-network" provider. This means that you pay me directly. If you choose to, you can then submit a claim to your insurance firm to be reimbursed for a portion of the fee. Reimbursement rates can vary, but many insurance policies cover a substantial portion of fees (between 50%-80%).

Erin is amazing! She's a great listener, is someone who genuinely cares about you and is so thoughtful in the kind of feedback she provides. I have so much more clarity about myself and have been better able to work through my emotions since working with her.

I have nothing but praise, and can't thank her enough for her kindness and support. I can't recommend her highly enough.
