I was having a hard time finding a practice that was taking on new patients and accepted insurance and I'm so happy someone suggested Compass Rose.
I have been doing tele-therapy with CR for about a year and I feel like I am finally making progress! CR has helped me get through a hard year, but also helped me with the more universal things in my life.

Finding a good therapist—especially one who is in-network—is an extremely difficult task in DC. Happy to say that I would HIGHLY recommend Christian at Compass Rose to anyone looking to start therapeutic services (especially for the first time ever!). He was highly attentive to my needs, extremely thoughtful (and thought-provoking) in his responses, and truly helped me improve my mental health and well-being over the past eight months of my life.

I have been working with Christian for the past year and his counseling has allowed me the opportunity and freedom to look within myself and working out issues that I have had for countless years. He listens to me without any sense of judgement and will call me out on bad habits and behaviors but in a way that isn’t condescending. His sessions are professional yet friendly. I never feel like I’m on a couch talking to a stranger but to a friend that genuinely wants to help me. He is always willing to work with my crazy work schedule by offering evening and weekend times if necessary. The advice

Working with Christian at Compass Rose changed my perspective of what therapy could be. Christian was the first therapist I’ve worked with as an adult, and he was patient with me as I got used to opening up and communicating my feelings, desires, issues, and struggles. Compass Rose provides services everyone can benefit from. I improved my relationship with family members while working with Compass Rose and gained confidence in my ability to manage my emotions. I recommend the services at Compass Rose to anyone who is looking for a flexible therapist who takes the time to learn your personal

The barrier to entry for finding a therapist is steep. Compass Rose was the only provider in the city that accepted my insurance. A huge deal for me. I initially had plans to work with one specific therapist who fit the specific profile I was looking for. When that fell through Christian, the owner, stepped up and worked me into his schedule. He was even flexible in working around my very inflexible full time work schedule. Can't say enough about how accommodating and welcoming this practice is! Highly recommend giving them a try.

I have tried counseling to help with anger management and anxiety several times before and it didn't work out so well. Compass Rose is different. I work with Christian who possesses the willingness to establish an alliance with his clients. I wanted a therapist who can instill in me some sort of inspiration of hope and optimism about my chances of improvement. Christian is very effective at striking a balance between realism and hope. Coming into therapy I had just gotten out of a relationship. I was depressed and my anxiety was through the roof. I really wanted my relationship back and I knew

First of all, finding a therapist in DC alone is difficult, finding a good therapist is like winning the lottery. Christian has been nothing short of of amazing, in regards to being flexible with my needs and accommodating my scheduling conflicts along with help with my mental needs. He has worked with me from talking through all the new issues that have arisen from the pandemic, seeing new viewpoints on my personal issues and working to find out the reasons behind my anxiety. While working with Christian I feel like I have been able to analyze my personal emotions quicker and quickly get myself
