Despite having normal hearing sensitivity, people with auditory processing disorders (APD) have difficulty processing and interpreting auditory information. The ear detects and transmits sound to the brain normally, but when the orally presented information goes to the brain, the child or adult has problems interpreting or understanding it accurately or efficiently.
If you're new to our office, you might be wondering what's involved in your visit. At your first visit, the audiologist will begin by asking questions that pertain to your ears and hearing. This is so we can collect as much information about your condition as possible. The audiologist will complete a battery of tests that are designed to tell us how different parts of your ears and hearing are working.

I've now purchased my second pair of hearing aids from here and I cannot tell you how delighted I am. Even better i recently went to Florida for business and though I might have an issue with one so I visited a local Audiologist. She was kind of amazed. She said they were perfectly matched for my hearing loss. When I told her they were fitted using real-ear technology she got really excited because only about 20%-30% of practicing audiologist do such fitting. Look on the internet and you'll see it is highly recommended so I was really comforted to learn my hearing aids were fitted properly. Dr

Dr. Goyne is technically a terrific medical professional, who also clearly understands the critical role that hearing, or lack thereof, plays in a patient's quality of life. I am currently trying hearing aids with the latest technology; if I decide in favor of these hearing aids they will be my third set from Aberdeen Audiology. Dr. Goyne has patiently explained the features and benefits so that together we were able to set achievable expectations if I decide to make a change. At my request, Dr. Goyne has always explained the latest technological improvements in the industry but has never put pressure

Dr. Goyne is one of those people you can easily build a relationship with. Unlike going to my primary care doc, he actually remembers who I am, what my challenges are, and where I am in your progress. I am 62 years old and came to Aberdeen Audiology after already wearing hearing aids for a few years. I have mild to moderate hearing loss across higher frequencies but mainly need hearing aids to help relieve the tinnitus that I experience. After having a hearing test there a pair of Phonak aids was suggested. The Phonaks work well but the attention that I have received from Mr.Goynes to program them is what has really made the difference. I've had several meetings with him and have received great treatment.
