Our eye doctor and eye care staff are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality vision care using the latest technology. You do NOT have to be a Costco member to have an eye exam with us. We invite you to come in and check us out for all your eye care needs. Color: Some contact lenses are available in color, even if vision correction is not needed. It is possible to wear non-prescription sunglasses while wearing contact lenses for your vision correction. Straight ahead vision often is better with contact lenses than with eyeglasses.
Since vision correction is away from your eyes with eyeglasses as opposed to on your eyes with contact lenses, there can be visual aberrations and distortions with eyeglasses compared to vision with contacts.With many eye conditions, such as keratoconus, vision is very likely better with contact lenses than with eyeglasses.

We all want to protect our eyesight and that is why it is important to have annual vision tests. These checks allow your doctor to detect and measure the front of your eye so that alterations can be made to your eyeglass or contact lens prescription. However, the doctor also needs to look at the back of your eye, the retina, to check if it is healthy and not damaged or showing signs of disease.
Our office is an independent optometry office inside the Elk Grove Costco that can assist you with LASIK by helping to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure, doing detailed measurements prior to LASIK, working with highly experienced surgeons and providing the care after the procedure.
A comprehensive eye health and vision exam is $80. A basic contact lens exam is $130. If you have astigmatism or need bifocal correction and want to wear contact lenses, there is a modest additional cost. We think it is important that all of our patients receive an annual eye exam. Your vision can change over a 12-month period.

Located in Costco, Dr. Nguyen was very fast and resourceful. I made my appointment Monday Morning, and was able to be seen that afternoon. This office does get pretty busy, so be sure to call ahead.
I've been visiting this location for a few years now, and every time I'm not disappointed.

This review is for Dr Do, who is an associate of Dr Nguyen's at her office, which is located inside Costco. Dr Do gave me an extremely thorough exam and took the time to answer all my questions. She also said I did not need new glasses and she did not try to sell me something I didn't need. Plus, she was very personable. I was very satisfied with her exam and service an I will definitely go back.

Due to COVID, my regular optometry office closed for a while and only recently started taking limited appointments. Working from home, I felt that my vision changed and I wanted to get my eyes checked out to see if my prescription has changed. Luckily, Amy Nguyen's Optometry office is open and is accepting appointments.
Staff: Prior to the appointment, I received a remind phone call and text which was nice. The staff (at least the day of my appointment) consisted of the front desk/receptionist and Amy. Staff was personable and friendly.

This review is for Dr. Anhthu Do. She was superb in her patient interaction; empathetic In her approach; & very professional too. I got hit by Racquetball couple days ago and being on winter break from UC Davis and campus health services were closed around Christmas I happened to be in Costco and was able to walk in. There were no appointments available but as I explained my situation to the front desk person said let me tell the doc. Dr. Anhthu came out & was able squeeze me into her schedule. Snagged a last minute appointment with Dr. Tiffany Phan on a Saturday. Process was very quick, and I got my prescription in less than 20 minutes! Dr. Phan is very nice and personable! She was able to address all my questions and concerns regarding vision loss and eye glasses. Highly recommend everyone to book an appointment with her!

First of all, her office is inside Costco. But don't shy away from Dr. Nguyen if you don't have a Costco card! You can forgo the "membership bouncers" by just telling them your there for an eye appointment. I took my 1.5 years old daughter in for an appointment with Dr. Nguyen. She was quick & thorough. She answered all my questions and was really good with my daughter. I was nervous about taking a baby in for an eye exam, but I'm glad I did. We'll definitely be coming back!
