Since I'm a local home inspector, I know what to look for - both in your home and on the grounds. In these inspections, I examine many of the visible and accessible areas of your home, from the roof to the foundation.
In addition to doing those renovations, I built two brand new homes from the ground up. Around this time, I did some inspections for friends. So, becoming a home inspector in 2016 was a perfect fit for me since I was already familiar with the components and systems within a house. And I really enjoy educating people about the properties they're purchasing.

An inspector who looks out for your best interest!
Kurt came highly recommended to me by a structural engineer (who was referred to me by two separate contractors). Kurt completed an inspection from roof to crawl space and property not missing a thing! He also got us a radon test, termite/insect inspection, and oil tank sweep. Kurt uncovered so much from fire and safety hazards to any cosmetics flaws that could potentially be harmful to the home over time.
Our list of fixes to the seller had to be above the norm, ha. Kurt even inspected the home a second time after fixes were completed ... and

He is a wealth of knowledge, especially because I am not the most experienced (by any means) in purchasing a home. Kurt was great! My fiance and I contacted him on Monday, our inspection was done Wednesday and we received our inspection report the very next day! He truly made this process easy as 1-2-3. His inspection was very thorough and he also proves to be very knowledgable, especially when describing what he sees and how it should be fixed. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone that needs a home inspection done.

Hired Kurt from Brick by Brick after the great job they did inspecting my Daughters house before purchasing it. I found him to be exceptional! and I was not disappointed after he found some issues with a house I was about to purchase. He is very professional, answers all questions with expertise. I saw this company based on many positive reviews in the area. The thing that caught my eye was how Kurt was able to detect lines that ran to a submerged oil tank that wasn't on any reports of the property. In my own experience, he was extremely thorough. He spent a lot of time outdoors going over every inch of the property before beginning indoors. He went through the house like a fine comb through hair. His report was very detailed and listed every grievance he pointed out with the property. I am beyond satisfied with this company and will be using them again in the future or recommending them

Kurt was great. He knew exactly what he was doing. I know so, because my father was impressed, and as a contractor, he's not impressed by anyone! Kurt took time with everything, explained what was real and what could be a concern but never played the fear factor. It was important because it was one less thing to stress about during the home buying process. I highly highly recommend Kurt!

When we made an offer on our home in Howell,NJ we expected alot from the home inspector. We got it! Kurt's communication and attention to ALL details was more than we expected. He did his inspection and went over any questions my wife and I had. 2 days later, he followed up with the actual report. Very easy to understand and covered everything the V.A. needed to see in the report (VS loan). He was on time and very professional. He also works together with a pesticide company and handled scheduling the wood boring insect inspection, which was very helpful. We highly recommend using Kurt from Brick

I had the pleasure of having my home inspection done by Kurt Blatt / Brick by Brick. Kurt is prompt, very knowledgeable, patient as well upstanding and honest. After I closed on my home, a few weeks later I had an appliance issue in which I called Kurt for guidance. Not only did he make a few suggestions, he came back to home to reinspect the unit. He went above and beyond and even fixed the issue! Not many business men like him ....
