Wooden Valley Winery
For more than 85 years, family-owned, Wooden Valley Winery has been producing award-winning wines from the Suisun Valley appellation. We invite you to join our Wooden Valley Family and experience hand-crafted wines and exclusive member benefits. If you'd been in this same tasting room fifty years ago and wanted something a little different, our grandfather Mario would have prepared a special blend for you.

If it was after five o'clock, our grandmother Lena would have invited you to stay for dinner. Times change, and although you can now taste a whole range of varietals, buy all kinds of gifts, enjoy our picnic tables and take in some fine views, it all comes with the same old-style, Lanza family hospitality.
Services
For three generations, family-owned Wooden Valley Winery has been producing award-winning wines from the Suisun Valley appellation, a pristine winegrowing region nestled between two coastal mountain ranges southeast of Napa Valley. Our family shares a strong connection to this land and an unrelenting commitment to improving the way we farm our vineyards and craft our wines.
Mario Lanza and Lena Carlevaro Lanza met in Oakland, California in 1934, and married three years later. Their families both came from the small town of Silvano Di Orba, in northern Italy. Mario worked as a partner in the Oakland Scavenger Company, but he was injured in a workplace accident. His doctor recommended that he move from the Bay area to a warmer climate.
We're pleased to offer a complete cellar of Wooden Valley Wines-all grown and bottled here on the estate. We're especially proud of our Lanza Family Wines crafted from our very best wine lots. As Winemaker, I strive for a consistent and full expression of each varietal and the distinctive character of the Suisun Valley appellation.
It's all about the experience for the Lanza family. Our grandparents believed that every guest who came across our bridge be treated to our unique brand of Lanza family-style hospitality. If you'd been in our tasting room fifty years ago and wanted something a little different, our grandfather Mario would have prepared a unique blend for you.
It's all about the experience for the Lanza family. Our grandparents believed that every guest who came across our bridge be treated to our unique brand of Lanza family-style hospitality. Times have changed, but our values haven't. As our beautiful Suisun Valley attracts more visitors each year, we're faced with the challenge of ensuring that every guest receives first-class hospitality worthy of our grandparents.

Fantastic wine and fantastic employees. Our experience here was nothing but great! The employees were amazing, very knowledgeable, and friendly. Their customer service was also amazing when I had to call for something out of state. Definitely worth your time to have a visit!

Amazing experience. Only a 10min drive from the Homewood Suites. Reasonably priced tasting at $15 which is waived if you buy a bottle starting around $20. I tried 6 sweet wines and sat outside with a great view. Very pleasant atmosphere. No food right now and no personal food allowed either.

So pretty and relaxing! A far cry from the pretentious wineries of Napa, THIS is where to go for girl's day out. Great atmosphere and service, 6 pours for $15 plus you get to choose from twelve different wines (choice between two for each pour). Go for the Merlot and the dry rose - the sweet rosetta is very sweet!

Excellent location out in the country with beautiful views around it. The winery has picnic tables with umbrellas and there are restrooms. The winery is just down the road from Larry's Produce so you can shop for the best fresh veggies before or after you stop by Wooden Valley Winery. And I am *HERE* for their 2018 Sparkling Rosetta!

We are long time members of Wooden Valley winery. My father used to purchase wine from WVW. They are a family run business. They know what they are doing and they do it well. We love their wines. All of the staff are.very friendly and welcoming. Love going to the events. Especially, the food truck Friday's.

Just happened on this place by chance. We loved every wine we tasted here. I can't say that about the other vineyards we visited. Great place. Great staff. I wish I lived in CA I'd only buy my wine from them.

My wife and I have been coming to Wooden Valley for over a decade now and cannot say enough about the staff and owners, the Lanza Family, and the wine is yummy too.
We especially enjoy their wine club pickup parties and "Food Truck Fridays" with live music and dancing (see photo) - the music is great as is the food. I never knew food trucks could be so gourmet but these certainly are (even have vegetarian if you like it).

Cozy and quaint little stop. Wooden Valley is a small but delightfully unique tasting room with a sprawling winery nestled amongst the hills in Fairfield. Reasonable rates and wonderful wines make this a great choice for wine tasting in the area.
