What a wonderful hotel! First of all the location is unbeatable. It was so nice to walk to everything and parking is easy in their lot. Plus the view! I got to sit on the porch looking at the creek while having my morning coffee- so relaxing. Secondly, the staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay again when in golden!

My husband and I were married on August 14, 2021, and we held a reception for our immediate family in the Golden Vista room. The food was excellent, and the staff was so incredible! Julie helped us arrange everything! I highly recommend holding events here. Great pricing too! We also stayed in one of the king suites, which was beautiful and overlooked Clear Creek. We plan to stay again on our anniversary. Thank you to the Golden Hotel for making our day so wonderful! Absolutely everything from beginning to end was perfect!

This hotel is very pleasant! Don’t let the exterior fool you, this hotel is fully renovated inside. The room had pretty new appliances and was perfectly fine. The parking was decent. They have a surface and underneath lots. The outside was a little stinky though. Being right on the river provides good access for outdoor activities. The restaurant attached was decent.

I stayed at The Golden Hotel over the weekend. The location was great, my room was clean and the bed was comfortable but there was no hot water 2 out of the 3 times I took showers. There are very few things I dislike as much as a cold shower. Very frustrating. I called and complained but apparently it was not something that they could fix. They told me to wait 15 minutes and then try but it didn't work. I think the issue was that too many guests were staying at the hotel, so they were running out of hot water. That's just something I have never experienced at a hotel. I had friends

Located in the heart of Golden, CO, this quaint hotel (part of the Choice Hotels group-sign up for free to earn points) sits right up on Clear Creek. It's within stumbling distance to all the bars, restaurants, and shops as it's located downtown. They even have free parking, which is a huge perk. We booked this hotel because it's only a 15 minute Uber to Red Rocks for our concert (about $20-$40 depending on the "peak hour" pay.) We used Lyft there ($20 w/tip) and actually a Taxi back (about $30) as there was no wait for the taxi and the Lyft line was insane.

The hotel is in a great position where there are good restaurants and pubs. The room was very comfortable and clean. The service was also very remarkable and every hotel staff member I encountered was polite, helpful, and engaged. Your willingness and dedication will highly be recommended. Cannot praise the event team and serving staff enough! They did a remarkable job with our event. When Colorado weather decided to boom and pour rain on our outdoor event, the team quickly pivoted and didn't miss a beat to accommodate us and move inside. Our bartender, Joey kept the team happy and smiling. The event team was with us every step of the way to make sure everything went smoothly and the event was flawless. They even made sure to take care of the one gluten free guest at the last minute. Thank you to Julie, Stephanie, Billie Lynn, Erica, and our service team for an incredible event

My Mountain Getaway!!
Wow, this was my first time staying at The Golden Hotel in.....ya you guessed it, in Golden Colorado. Right smack dab in the downtown area and just a Hop, Skip and a Jump from everything in Golden, this is the place to be at. The Golden is part of the Ascend Hotel Collection that I have been exploring for the last year or so. The Golden takes you back in time as it's a country/western themed kinda place with a mountain lodge vibe, where you can see Southern Belles prancing around the hotel. This hotel was beautiful, clean, and had great service!
We stayed here for a work conference and the staff was super helpful in setting up the technology and catering that we needed.
Additionally, the rooms were clean and good sized and well furnished. You can tell that the staff cares about the facility and their guests.
The location can't be beat, right on the water and the main drag - so you can duck out and get coffee from down the street!

The hotel is quiet and clean. It's location is great within easy walking to the Colorado School of Mines, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and microbreweries. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially the wait staff at the hotel restaurant. If you can, reserve a creekside room.
My only negative is that breakfast prices are a bit high for Golden. If they had been 15% lower I would have given my stay 5 stars.

As a local I've never stayed here but have on occasion had lunch inside and remember it being tasty with friendly service. It's worth walking in the main lobby as it really is a beautiful place.
But on the 4th a group of us decided to get lunch on the deck - I was wary as it was crowded and of course they said, 30 minute wait. Oddly they did not allow us to sit or drink in the inside bar/restaurant which was empty but, luckily two seats at the very small (maybe 6 seats, at the bar itself) opened up for the ladies to get a seat.

Five stars are not nearly enough! This hotel deserves 10! I travel often for both business and pleasure. And it's been a long time since a hotel impressed me so thoroughly. I have stayed in Golden, CO several times, but this was the first time staying at The Golden Hotel. Every single detail is top notch! The desk staff was friendly and over-the-top accommodating.
I had arrived earlier than expected so my room was not quite ready for me to use. But, having just got off a plane, I needed to quickly change and freshen up for a conference. The desk staff showed me to a private bathroom off

The best hotel we stayed in Colorado!
This hotel is very beautiful and charming located in the small town, Golden Colorado! Waking distance to everything. About 10mins walking the Coors brewery! And the creek is right behind the hotel and it's great to have a walk along the river.
The staff, Bret, who helped us checking in, is awesome, kind, patient, and polite! He told us he used live in Austin during 86's and he enjoyed the time there! He even texted us later after lunch time, just to check everything is fine! I super enjoyed the conversation because I felt that I found a old friend

We came here for our mountain trip after my wedding. The view is wonderful and golden is such a great place.
They had a nice drink menu and I ended up with a bottle of prosecco. I had a salmon salad and most everyone had burgers. This place is a little pricey, but we'll worth extra few bucks. The salmon was incredible and cooked to perfection. The salad was nice and crisp. Everyone was happy and the ambiance was great. delicious food, and a breathe taking view.
Only bad thing is the service was extremely slow, what should have taken 45 minutes to an hour took almost two.

Spacious rooms right in the heart of Golden near the School of Mines, the river and downtown. The staff is friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. Meeting rooms were comfortable and the food was good. I especially liked the house made potato chips. They had Keurig in-room coffee, mini fridge and micro-wave. My husband could walk to the Ace-High for $1.75 beers (so thrilled for him, haha). Pretty art work and fireplace in the lobby. I would stay there again!
