It's Bright and airy, the interior is nicely decorated, they played Adele's latest album, they offered wine, tea, coffee, and mimosas! My new go-to nail spot! Each and every single I haven't been disappointed once yet. Kathy and her team, especially Tiffany, is very careful and detailed. They never answer the phone so they can give you the undivided attention that you need.

Services
Files, buffers, and pumices are never reused, and we use disposable liners for each and every pedicure. In addition, we clean and sanitize all tools and equipment after each client. As a courtesy to other guests and our technicians, we require 24 hours advance notice of any cancellation or rescheduling.

Kathy is a nail wizard and understands the anatomy of nails! I tried this place out for the first time yesterday and will definitely be a returning customer. I love that it is by appointment only and the place is so airy and bright! My nails look exactly the way I envisioned and Kathy is such a sweet and sincere person. I'll be back!

This review has been long overdue. I've been coming here for a couple of years and my experience has always been outstanding. Kathy and her staff are very kind and patient. Appointments are required and I've never waited more than a few minutes upon arrival. Instruments are sterilized and the cleanliness of the establishment cannot be over emphasized. Thank you Kathy and staff!

I had a wonderful experience at Nail Bar on Park St! I haven't had a pedicure in 2 years, so I decided to treat myself to a Deluxe Lavender Pedicure. It comes with a 10 minute lower leg & foot massage which was really lovely. My skin feels so soft from the lotion and my nails look fantastic!
Appointments can be booked online and paid for in advance (except gratuity).
Parking on Park St can be tricky sometimes, but there is plenty of street parking on San Antonio, a parking lot on Central Ave between Oak St and Park St, and the parking garage on Oak St across from City Hall so there

What a breath of fresh air. Go see my review of Classy Nail Spa for that experience.
Came here after that horror show.
Basically walked in, sat down immediately. Super friendly, clean and efficient.
They don't have the standard massage chairs and footbaths. But in lieu, comfortable side chairs and metal bowls are provided.
My tech knew what she was doing. Every nook and stray cuticle was attended to.
Overall, a very nice experience. Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely look them up.

Really! and terrifying! Called my husband and told him to meet me at a brake shop near where I was at in San Leandro. I called NailBar to let them know I might be a few minutes late (still 15 minutes until the appt). They asked how far away I was--I explained I was on the

I think Nailbar is moderately priced. It's not cheap, but it's also not the most extravagant place you could go to. With tip, my gel mani and signature pedicure comes out to ~$70. Even the signature (read: most basic) pedicure comes with a foot scrub and light massage.

This is my go-to spot in the Bay Area! I have gotten gel on my nails a few times in Monterey (for my wedding and Christmas at a place my mom likes), and was pleasantly surprised with the "gel' at nail bar. Other salons where I have gotten gel have ruined my nails for at least a month after it comes off, my nails are weak and chip. At nail bar, the "gel"

I'm thoroughly confused. I am a 25+ year expert in experiencing manicures and pedicures. I am currently off gel manicures, giving my nails a break. So i decided now was the time to check out some new nail salon spots. This one came highly recommended on Yelp.
I didn't quite catch (ahead of time) that there are no spa massage chairs. Not my favorite (I like a little extra relaxation during my pedicure) but I settled in anyway. Pedicure was nice. Technician was paying good attention to what she was doing.

I feel like I have tried 1,000 nail salons in Alameda and Oakland. For real!
This place is so cute and the staff is so friendly and a pleasure to be around.
What I like is that you can make an appointment online and pay with Paypal right away. I almost always get a same-day appointment. I found that it really doesn't matter which nail technician you chose on the page, you get the one that is free ;-) But that's fine because they all know what they are doing.
No crazy uncomfortable "massage chairs", instead nice and cozy chairs and spanking clean bowls, etc. Also, the instruments

6/29/19: Made an appointment online the night before. Got there about 20 minutes early. They were so kind to take me in earlier, although I didn't mind to wait. But they insisted to get started on my lavender pedicure right away. They offered me wine once I was comfortable.
I felt super special today! Rather than one technician, they had two helping me this visit. One for my pedicure. The other for my manicure. Both were so very wonderful! So gentle that I could've fallen asleep. When they were done, I was able to just relax, answer some emails, and finish my drink. After a few minutes

I live nearby and stopped by to get a manicure.
First, they offer you a drink. Unfortunately, I was unable to take advantage of this because I was driving later in the day, but I was impressed by the amount of liquid they served when I saw another woman order a Mimosa.(It was a satisfying amount, not skimpy).

So happy with my gel manicure! I wasn't able to get the name of the person doing my nails, but she was so friendly and quick.
I had gel nails that had to be removed but she removed and buffed it out so well. My nails look perfect and I've never been so happy with a manicure!
Also, Kathy is so friendly and accommodating :)

I called 30 mins before they're closing time & they took me in. Quickly they greeted me & gave me a warm welcome. Here's a quick run down of WHY i gave them 5 stars.
1. They offer you 1 alcoholic drink to help you relax
2. They actual have the instruments sealed in the autoclave bag (usually other spots just use that bag for looks to make it look like they disinfected and cleaned the nail instruments)
3. They have organic, opi, and NEW nail polishes (the front desk lady said they always get new season polishes which i LOVE)
4. They take apple pay & they dont force you

Very impressed with my first visit to Nailbar and it was completely hassled free. I was expecting overly prices mani/pedis given that the location and because of Alameda I would be paying for a simple pedicure, but it was well worth the price and experience.

4 stars well deserved as I am fan.
Kathy made me feel like a million dollars with excellent tips on how to keep my nails nice and healthy. I booked an appointment there rather than my regular nail bar as they offer a Gel nail recovery manucure that we all ought to use once in a while let's face it.
The online booking service is super simple to use and you get no less than 3 reminders.
