Father's Office
Home of the much touted "Office Burger, " our menu joins great craft beer with excellent food for an unparalleled casual dining experience. Father's Office is a gastropub by chef Sang Yoon focused on pairing the world's best craft beers with great food, with restaurants in Santa Monica, Culver City, and Downtown Los Angeles.

We feature a seasonally rotating selection of 36 craft beers on tap at our bars along with carefully curated small producer wine and craft cocktails at select locations. Since day one, always the first to bring new, rare, and exceptional craft beers to market. Who knew a burger could be so damn polarizing?
Services
Much larger than our Santa Monica location, our Culver City venue offers a more spacious Father's Office experience. Order your food and drinks at the bar, and have a seat inside or on our expansive outdoor patio. Host a memorable private event in our event room, or come sit at the bar and meet other craft beer enthusiasts.
Perfect for small happy hours to large corporate events. Pre-booked bar packages start at $250 dollars per hour. You are invited to pre-order (family style) food packages or opt to allow your guests to order and pay for food, as desired, at the bar. Booking a private party is the only way to secure a reserved seat at FO.

This is in fact the best burger I have ever had hands down! That being said it may not be for you. The food consistently high quality. It may look like a dive bar to some but the food and service is top notch, just don't go there if you're happy with McDonald's

Father's Office makes the best burger I have had in Southern California! Not traditional but well balanced and well assembled. The Father's Office burger and the owner Yang Soon are highly decorated from many major publications and committees, and they are worthy of the prestige. I definitely recommend :)

Amazing Office Burger that melts in your mouth. The fries portion size is very generous and can feed two easily. The beers on tap are the cherry on top. Good service, nice atmosphere, and tasty food and drinks.

Local gastropub with an array of beer options and tasty food. This spot is much larger than the Santa Monica location, and has both an indoor and an outdoor patio. You show your ID to the bouncer first before going in. Metered street parking. Credit cards are accepted. You order both your drinks and food at the bar, pay, and then receive a number to place at your table. It’s open seating, though another couple tried claiming that an empty table we had placed our number at already was theirs (we just let it go and found a different booth, but the entitlement of some people bewilders me).

If you love beer, this is the place for you. Always has a HUGE beer selection and really good cocktails. The food is amazing. Best burger in LA imo. Definitely a place I try to go as often as possible. The outdoor seating is great as well.

Extremely rude bartender, which was surprising. Overshadowed the parts that would have otherwise been good.

Great beer selection, awesome burger and crunchy well fried tater tots in outdoor seating. The music inside was unpleasantly loud as other pubs, but outside was just perfect.

The namesake father's office burger was extraordinarily average. Fairly dry, and a bit underseasoned for my taste. Relative to cost, the burger was underwhelming, with little to no topping, served on a french bread roll. The onion jam was flavorful but ultimately was thinly spread on only a small part of the bun. Ultimately, I would have been just as happy buying a burger from the local in n out, saving 15 dollars and receiving the same, if not more, satisfaction.
The spanish mushrooms were quite good though, perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
Ultimately, a 3 star. Food was very underwhelming

The blue cheese in the burger might freak people out but they actually pull it off! This is coming from a blue cheese hater, nevertheless the burger as whole fails for me. After 2 years of hearing about this place, the hype was real. Didn't enjoy the burger at all. Patty was good, bread was ok, but the burger as a whole was not tasty. Should have gone to WENDY'S. The extremely skinny fires didn't have a nice potato flavor & this place doesn't serve ketchup?! Sweet potato fries were average. The WORST part: the fried chicken sandwich as the slaw & the sauce was just gross

Get the burger... don't ask questions... don't deliberate... just do it!

If you're more than one person, I'd also recommend the fried chicken sandwich. Comes with this kimchee somethingorother that I loved!

They also have a good beer selection!

Don't love the shoestring fries, but maybe that's just me?

Also, don't love how they don't do substitutions and don't serve ketchup (which goes better than any garlic aioli ever will with fries) but anyway... otherwise I really like this spot!

Stay Cheerful ;)

This place deserves every bit of a 5 star review. Tremendous selection of beer and while not an extensive food menu, what they do have will satisfy something for everyone. My partner and I got the Chorizo fritters (which I’m still craving after the fact), Spicy Stout Ribs (so delicious), Frites (which comes with a delicious mayo dipping sauce), Westmale Dubbel, Hitachino Nest White Ale and Grimm Artisanal Ales Double. Highly recommend Fathers Office!

Our LA friends raved about this place! We had & loved the deviled eggs. We were recommended The Office Burger and Liberty Duck Confit Salad. My husband loved the burger; I enjoyed the bite I had. I loved the duck salad. It was so refreshing, flavorful, and filling! I also had a glass of rose.

$34 for a cheeseburger, fries (without ketchup) and a small ginger ale?!?! And to order you have to go stand at the bar and vie for the bartender’s attention like you’re in a busy nightclub. And if you want more water or anything else for that matter, run back to the bartender and wait. Definitely not worth it!

Great place to hang out with friends, order a tasty burger and put a few cold ones down. Plenty of options on tap, bartenders are very knowledgeable and will lead you to unfamiliar but pleasant and savory suds. Great and friendly service, didn’t have to wait long at all for the order to come out. Plenty of outdoor seating, sufficiently spaced. Just don’t ask for ketchup or you will be frowned upon and escorted off the premises.

I love ketchup. I am a man of relatively simple tastes. When I first came here, years and years ago and was told no ketchup allowed for burgers or fries, I was a little irritated. How dare they deny me my favorite condiment!

But this is a different kind of burger, exquisitely designed and delivered precisely as Chef Sang Yoon wanted it to be. It is perfect, no ketchup or other condiments needed.

Fries awesome too, with a delicious garlicky aioli for dipping. Other items I have had equally good.

Of course, immense list of great beers is also a major draw! The Father's Office is a classy

Any time we're in Santa Monica, we ditch the 3rd street bustle and make our way to Father's Office for some cold beer and the 10/10 burger with the shoe string fries! So good every time! My boyfriend loves it too, we can't get enough. I don't even like blue cheese which comes in the burger but trust me, just get it as it comes, it's amazing!

The space is a little small, but if you end up going at a less crowded time, it's quite the treat!

When it comes to a burger father's office is always my first choice. I took a risk of ordering their chorizo fritters. It was good, it's just not enough for the amount I paid. I wish they would've added more chorizo fritters. I also requested for them to provide an extra aïoli dip for the fries. The person who I spoke to said yes. Unfortunately, when I received my order I only got one dip. I had to make my own dip at home. I'm hoping that the quality of service will improve. During the pandemic, we're not always at home. We depend on food deliveries. Please continue to

OMG this place was amazing. Their beer, their burger, fried chicken sandwich, salad and their service was extraordinary. They had caramelized onion in their burgundy with spinach which made it reallyyyy good and soft. The fried chick was perfect. I really loved their mocca beer too.

On a lazy sunday when we are craving a beer and a burger, FO is our spot. It is a tiny place, so be advised you may have to wait for a seat. You order at the bar and then find your spot and the food is brought out to you. We try to come during off hours to avoid the rush. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. Also, they will check your ID so make sure to have it to not be turned away.

The office burger is their staple and a must have. You cannot customize it so do not even try. We usually order the burger medium rare, which is how they suggest it. I am usually a little squeamish for rarer burgers
