I was trying to find a place in the area that Carrie's guanciale and I was sent to Mia Famiglia. Sure enough, they have it. The folks running this place are great! Knowledgeable foodies who are sweet and kind. Great Italian specialty grocery selection and wonderful prepared food.

Family owned and operated for goodness knows how long. Crazy amazing Italian specialties + breakfast sandwiches worth waking up for (eggs, cheese and peppers - order before 8:30am / they are magic!!)

Manny and the entire crew are great people. Food is authentic Italian. With out equal in Millburn; a town that sports some really good food places. Sandwiches are better than the Millburn Deli. Neighborhood place that has won a steady stream of patrons, and well deserved. You might expect something like this on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, not in Millburn NJ. Lived here in Millburn for over 25 years, and this place remains true to its roots as a neighborhood favorite. Small but stacked with great foods from Italy. Get a sandwich to go and eat just up the street in the Taylor Park.

Sharon and Manny are the absolute best! The quality of food, amount, and price are the best in the area. The soup (no matter the flavor) is always the right choice!! Yummy

Manny, Sharon, and their kids make coming here such a delight. My go-to Italian deli, period! Fresh ingredients and superior quality- they treat you like family.

The food and service were good. I've had both breakfast and lunch there. I would recommend the lunch sandwiches. They're good.

Place is great. Food tastes amazing! One question, what is it with Italian places and serving bread with texture of rubber and a crust as hard at concrete? It tastes great it just takes you about 300 chews and infinite mouth lacerations to get it down. Sorry huge pet-peeve, really the only thing holding em back from a fifth star.

Food is great! Would have been 5 stars, but took one off for sign saying "Mask required, don't even ask"..
As its mid June, at this point many employees at all sorts of businesses are being required by employer to continue wearing a mask... Im ok with that... but to require customers to wear them at this point, when the mandate has been lifted by the Governor, is not customer friendly.
Reevaluate your mask requirement for vaccinated customers and I add a star, and return with my business!!

Great fresh authentic Italian. Homemade mozzarella, prepared pastas, daily specials , tiramisu, rice pudding along with their regular menu. In addition, a variety of excellent Italian olive oils, balsamic vinegars including aged along with other Italian cheeses and canned San Marzano tomatoes, etc. Manny and Sharon own and operate a small, unpretentious Italian gem in Millburn NJ.

Eggplant Wedge. Eggplant Wedge. Eggplant Wedge. Eggplant Wedge. That is ALL you need to know. It is hands down the best sandwich I've ever had. I am blown away everytime I have it. That subtle smoke on the mozzarella is to die for! And the Porcini Mushroom soup! So much flavor without being a salt bath. Quality food. Great service. Thank you, Mia Famiglia!

Picked up two sandwiches - jersey Italian and the southern Italian. A beef and barley soup and a little pizza. My kids loved the soup and pizza. My wife and I loved our sandwiches. The southern was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time.

Italian delicacies, homemade cheeses and sauces and pastas, fresh bread, killer sandwiches, and the nicest people -- Mia Famiglia is one of the great gems in the area!

One of the best mom and pop stores in our town! Talk about the very best meatballs!! I must always have them as a main course, side dish or take a few extras home for a meal; yup, that good. Their sandwiches and overall menu are fantastic. We also love picking up a few groceries and olive oil while there. I hope they're around forever!

Stopped in on a friends recommendation. Even during these crazy times the gentleman who served me was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Butternut squash soup. Best I've ever had and with the first bite I could tell that it's homemade with fresh ingredients. He took my order while I was in line outside and threw in some bread because he felt bad I had to wait. The kids loved eating it on the way home. Will definitely be back to try more. This is, in all sincerity, the best eggplant I've ever had. I cannot recommend recommend them highly enough. Eat here!

I can't say enough good things about Mia Famiglia. Family owned and operated, the place offers hot and cold Italian dishes, delicious sandwiches (prepared and made to order) and an amazing variety of daily specials. Can't beat the fresh mozzarella and ricotta. They offer imported pastas and an amazing variety of imported Italian oils, spices and specialty products difficult to find elsewhere in NJ. The owners and staff are knowledgeable; their passion for fine food and personalized service palpable. Giving a 5 because I can't give a 6.

Let me start off by professing my undying devotion to this Italian deli. I did t know it existed until my Daughter raves about the breakfast sandwich made here. It is a masterpiece. Pancetta, mozzarella & eggs on a roll. Made fresh in this tiny store crammed with Italian goodies. Every single person in the store made me feel like a lifelong customer. The warmth was genuine and heartfelt. Italian music playing was quite pleasant. While I waited for the sandwiches I began buying more. Sun dried tomatoes in olive oil were mouth watering. Outstanding family run Italian deli. They have only fresh produce and bread all the meats taste top notch much better then buying in a grocery store. All specialty sandwiches in case are great you really can't go wrong. It's obvious the owners take a lot of pride in the food (they are not just a sandwich shop they have many fantastic food and products in house). Been going for many years and continues to be the only place I will buy cold cuts for Christmas Eve antipasto spreads (call in your orders in advance on major holidays no joke they get crazy amount of orders). I'm in NJ for work and it was already kinda late in the day But I'm from the west coast and any opportunity to grab some real New Yawk old school red gravy food. Stumbled on Mia Famiglia on Yelp and headed over. This place is just what I was looking for. A small family owned Italian market that makes solid Sammie's. I got the Friday special baked eggplant parm and the meatballs and both were excellent but the eggplant was the winner ! The meatballs came with a nice layer of homemade mozzarella nice touch. Now I have a new place to pick up food for my flights back from Newark.

This place has changed since I was here last many many years ago and refused to go back.
When someone brought me back some excellent Mortadella from here, I went back to try other items and was incredibly surprised to find the place now has some very decent items. While I'm now a fan, I'm always mindful that they can be very pricey and it sometimes affects my decision to be extravagant.

Great as ever. Great food and friendly service. Chicken Marsala hero was so good. Macaroni salad is best I've tasted. Meatball hero delicious with fantastic bread and tomato gravy. All fresh ingredients. All very tasty!

Have been living in Millburn short hills for 29 years. Have gone to Millburn Deli starting in HS...but now I am a convert!! Authentic and fresh. Makes you feel like family here. Millburn Deli is overrated! Everyone standing in line with me here all used to go to Millburn Deli. Don't get me wrong, Millburn Deli is good, but my favorite sandwich is the Italian and the Millburn Deli Italian just doesn't cut it! Mia Famiglia is the real deal!

I am a regular here as I live in the neighborhood. Wonderful homemade dishes and imported Italian goods available. Their pasta is great and the owners are lovely! I often stop in for my regular breakfast sandwich (eggs, peppers, and provolone) and a coffee.

Apparently you need to call in advance to order cold cuts. I was treated rudely and a card was shoved in my face by the owner telling me to call in advance for orders.

Don't worry, I will not be calling or coming in again.

I had an Italian deli previously and would never treat a customer like that.

Been a long time customer for over 20 years. Lived many places always made my way to this establishment for lunches fresh mozzarella prosciutto and other snacks. There are many establishments that try to compete but most can never come close. We live a few miles away still. But it's worth the trip every time... Never knew the name just knew it was opposite Bleeker Street an old friend recommended them Luther La Barre of Turf Grass....

Went for the first time 20 minutes ago today. It smelled amazing inside, and everyone was so nice (including the customers, who gave me recommendations!). Got the eggplant parm, since it's a Friday special. It is amazing (eating as I write this) and the perfect lunch portion.
Will definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the suggestions. Thanks guys :)

The owners are very personable, and all the food is fresh and yummy. Although I've not delved into their non-sandwich offerings, there's a posted menu daily with a decent sized selection of specials.

I'm really surprised that there's not a line out the door, but from the other reviews, it's obvious that Mia Famiglia has its share of fans.
