Fuego At The Clarendon
In 2006, my wife Amanda and I had the idea to open up a small bistro in Central Phoenix. Nearly 15 years later, Fuego evolved into an "In The Know" restaurant here in the Midtown dining scene. In 2020, we got the amazing opportunity to team up with the Clarendon Hotel. This historic property fits in with the unique vibe that Fuego is known for.

We are so fortunate for all the support of thousands of patrons over the last decade plus to make us a real local gem. We are also proud of our killer staff that make the restaurant possible. We humbly thank you for coming to Fuego. We are super aware of the hundreds of choices in the Valley for dining and we appreciate that you have selected us.

Good food & nice selection of international Latin influences ! Nice patio & ambiance (minus the live music -- that does not jive with the Latin's restaurant theme) ! Good drinks -- great tasting margaritas! Good company ! Live music is nice but selection of music was terrible! I respect all different genre of music but I didn't want to have to listen to country music throughout entire dinner -- it really ruins the whole dining experience. We will definitely verify with the live-band coverage before next return for dining (on Saturday).

This place is a gem! Housed inside the Clarendon Hotel, it boasts Latin fusion foods that are RICH in flavor! We have gone twice: came for Happy Hour and skipped it both times because the full menu was so tantalizing, we had to go straight for the heavyweights!

Excellent assortment of spicy foods, and all of their Signature Platters come with two sides -- all the more flavor bang for your buck! The portions are hefty, enough to box up a good-sized snack for later. We highly recommend the Fuego Pasta and the cornbread. Do not, I repeat, do NOT come here if you enjoy a more plain palate because

Small and nice. Great latin food with tons of flavor. Sangria was a little off but Margaritas we're phenomenal! Had the Peasant Paella, Pernil, Enchiladas and Chile Relleno all were high level and true to their origin flavors. So good! This place is a must.

I was famished after hiking, this place is right next door & dingdingdingding, at 4 pm, they host Happy Hour.

Last time I was here - September 2020 - we came for dinner & I gave a rave review b/c it was outstanding. This time? Not raving about it.

First, Happy Hour (HH) prices for tacos are $4.50 a taco. I admit: I am used to ordering three tacos for $10 at the restaurant that was here b/f in this same spot, so spoiled w/ those prices. But still: $4.50 for a street taco?!

I ordered the House salad & Chicken Taco from HH menu. Taco came with chicken, cabbage and coated in this icky

Food was good and the service was friendly. I really enjoyed the mimosa and the chile relleno, but the rice and beans we or so-so. I also tried the horchata French toast, delicious!
I found it really weird that they seated us so close to a leaking pipe. We didn't realize until eh end of our meal, but one of my friends had a wet purse because of the leak!

Came here for brunch - great Latin food and cute decor inside! You must try anything with the pernil asado. I personally got the green Chile pork and eggs, which was bomb. The pernil asado is a slow cooked pork roast and the meat here is so tender and tasty!

Had dinner outside here while visiting Phoenix.

Great spot, quiet enough for date night but lively enough for an evening with friends.

Food was fantastic, drinks were also top notch.

I'd recommend sitting outside if you can get it. Can't beat it on a perfect Phoenix weather night.

What an awesome little spot. The food was absolutely fantastic, I had a massive plate of pernil nachos that didn't disappoint one bit. Fresh ingredients and nothing felt heavy on the stomach. The drinks weren't too bad, I had their house margarita. A bit too heavy on the lime but the rest of their cocktail menu looked interesting. There were two live hands playing at the time and the environment was fantastic. Such a chill spot if you want to have a nice meal and enjoy a good crowd with some possible live musicians.

I'm always amazed when I realize i haven't written a review for the places i frequent the most.

Here's another spot that i discovered during covid quarantine.... But, let's back up... Rewind the tape back 3 years or so... When Fuego was located in the small building beast 7th Street and Bethany Home.....We used to frequent businesses across the street at 7th/Bethany Home and frequently passed Fuego up for other restaurants that have since closed down. Fast forward to 2020....COVID pandemic... Where can I go for a decent meal on a patio in the middle of the record break

After a failed attempt at going to the Fair to see Metalachi, we decided to hit up Fuego at the Clarendon. We arrived in time for some Happy Hour treats. Including a round of Not your Mother's Margaritas and guac, salsa and chips. The Husband ordered the Green Chili Cheeseburger with fries and loved it. The Friend went with the Fuego Pasta with Chipotle Cheddar Mash and Signature Green Chili Cornbread. He ate every last drop/crumb. Which is provides me with his rating. I went with a couple of snack items, the Chicken Taco and a Salmon Croquette. The Chicken Taco was large and the Salmon Croquette

Loved the ambience of this place. It's attached to a hotel without that hotel/let's have a restaurant feel to it. We decided to do small plates and our server was more than accommodating. The tortilla soup was a delicious clear broth concoction with plenty of spice. The empanadas were packed with meats and the cubano sliders were out of this world. The pork was succulent. The only non-5 stars plate that fell short were the shrimp that were totally over cooked, but the sauces allowed to balance out the flavors and textures.
This is a great place to bring your out of town guests

This is a place I will be talking about and recommending for a long time. The service, the food, the cleanliness, everything was just stupendous. I can not get over that every single item I orders was so delicious and the presentation was amazing.
The waitress incredible.
Just wow wow wow. I found my new favorite place. Can't wait to come back.

Fuego at The Clarendon is a Latin Fusion restaurant and bar in Phoenix. We're never been here before so I wanted to give it a try for restaurant week. The atmosphere was lively. They had a piano player and the patio looked comfortable.

We started with margaritas we thought the margaritas were good.
My husband tried a cubano sandwich off the HH menu and he thought it was good and tasty. Then we went on to try the restaurant week food.

Not all but the majority of the restaurant week food didn't agree with my palate and made me feel queasy.

The complimentary red sangria tasted like it

We haven't been to the new location on Clarendon but we were in the mood for some "Peasant Paella" $14.00 which is on their Happy hour menu from 3-6 pm. They have some $5.00 appetizers and $8.00 cocktails the wife had a coconut mojito or two. We really like the decor of the new place and the Clarendon Hotel is a modern and looks like a fun place to stay.

After visiting Fuego, I find myself asking why it took so long to visit. Their food and drinks were amazing. So if you are reading this and on the fence, take the leap and visit. You will not be disappointed.

Let's start with their Pernil Asado (slow-roasted pork)... it was AMAZING! We ordered two orders of the BBQ Pernil Quesadilla simply because one was not enough. I honestly think it was one of the best quesadillas I've eaten and they are primarily because of the BBQ Pernil. It was loaded with so much flavour it felt like a dance party in my mouth. It was so good, I forgot to take

EXCELLENT EVERYTHING!
Dined alone while my daughter was in a massage. Ordered to sample a little bit of not-quite-everything: spinach salad, chicken tacos, corn bread, Not Your Mother’s margarita, cappuccino (GORGEOUS), and bread pudding (none like I’d ever had). Wow! Everything wow! Can’t wait to bring friends & family here!

Awesome location and yummy flavored margs. All the food was delicious as well. I tried the empanadas and my friends tried the tostadas and steak of the day, all of which were very tasty.

Had a reservation outside but a haboob was impending so they were very gracious to let us sit inside with our big table instead. It was my friends birthday and they brought out our bread pudding with a candle!

I picked Fuego for our anniversary dinner. Now we all know AZ is not short on Latin/Mexican food, but the menu looked great so I made a reservation. I'll be honest, outside looked very drab and a lil EWW. But once we parked and found the door, I saw how beautiful the restaurant was. The hostess greeted us with a "happy anniversary" and it was such a sweet gesture. We were seated in the back, but could hear the live music from our seats! (Nice touch) we ordered drinks and the nachos! The food came out super fast and the nachos were delicious. I chose the veggie enchiladas and my partner

We showed up and they didn't have any dining tables available so they sent us to the bar lounge area. There was music in the lounge bar area which was really nice. Ultimately since one other reservation tables did not show up they came and got us and asked us if we'd like to sit at a dining tables. We all moved to the dining table and had a great time. The food is excellent the paella was fantastic.

Very classy bistro bar/eatery in the Clarendon Hotel. Great happy hour prices along with a good selection of appetizers. Full weekend brunch menu. The Green Chile Cornbread was a perfect match for the margaritas! Luis was a great host/mixologist!

So good!! All their waitstaff had on masks covering their nose and mouth (my visit was on 4-16-21). We ate on the patio, and the tables are spaced at least 6 feet apart.

Lots of great choices on the menu. After some deliberations and then having our waitperson recommend a couple of other good sounding choices, I finally settled on the Spicy Veggie Tostadas, which were packed with flavorful goodness. The cabbage had a crisp crunch, and the mix of flavors were really fabulous!

The blackberry sangria was also quite delicious!

Lovely place on the outside patio!

The location is a bit shady ... it's in a hotel which is fine but I'm glad they had a parking lot

I ordered the fuego chicken. The sauce just about killed me because I hate cilantro and even though I mentioned it to get waitress that I didn't want pico because I hate cilantro the chicken was smothered in a sauce that was filled with cilantro. The salad also had pico or cilantro in it so my husband ate my dinner. He really enjoyed it

My husband and friend loved the chicken soup. The service was great.

Bathrooms are boy girl so be prepared.
Everyone was very happy with their

I've been a customer of Fuego for the last 5-6 years, starting first when I lived in the greater PHX area. Over this time period, they continue to amaze me: friendly service, quality food, unique flavors, large portions, and great drinks!

I don't live in the PHX area anymore, but every time I am back in the area I make sure to stop by Fuego. On my last visit, I had to do a double take to make sure it was the same restaurant because they had moved to a different location. I enjoyed the new space! The old one had so much charm, but happy that this new location provides more space and
