The Chef and owner have put together a unique Mexican cuisine menu that includes a variety of dishes inspired by parts of Southern Mexico. All dishes are made with only the freshest produce and ingredients for an authentic flavor. Taking inspiration from Real Mexican food, all the dishes on our menu are designed for sharing.

Tonight, 12/27, we arrived at 7 pm. Being as hungry as we were, we quickly placed our order with our server at 7:05. We didn't see our food, or our server again, until 8:20. There were multiple parties in the restaurant, and I can understand being busy, but this was unacceptable. When we did receive our food, our quesadilla was burned on top and soggy with butter on the bottom. Tacos were cold. We didn't even finish half our meal before giving up and throwing it out. I had to get up multiple times to find a server to ask for chips (which we never got), napkins, water refills.... When

Location: My ideal restaurant setup! This is an unassuming location on the outside, but comfortable and well decorated on the inside. Perfect for a meal to catch up with friends or family. Great atmosphere, while not too loud.
Food: For my first time of course I had to try the signature enchiladas (chicken) and they did not disappoint! I would recommend doing half and half green sauce and red sauce so you find what you like best. And while you're at it, try adding salsas from the salsa bar. You can try over a dozen flavors in one meal if you like.

Where do I begin? Did I expect the best service I have ever received? Probably not but I wish I could say the name matched the interior of the restaurant--inclusive of the food and the service within. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The service was slow and after we ordered our meals we found our food was sitting because the server wasn't there to bring it out. When she got back, she grabbed it and brought it to the table..

Love how they converted this cottage house into an airy vibrant restaurant. The salsa with chips was tastefully put together with a hint of hot but mild. The menu offering extensive enough to fill a hungry and anticipant customer. Noticed it's a place where everyone has come here to eat more than twice. The hostess is warm and hospitable always making sure we were fine. Highly recommend the fish. You won't regret coming and guarantee you will come back again.

The place is uniquely designed, and stylish. I loved the decor We ordered the chicken enchiladas and the mole. Service was quick and the servers were friendly. The enchiladas were good. The mole was not great. The salsa bar is a nice touch and all were all very tasty. Drinks were meh. I had high hopes for their margaritas but it did not deliver. Overall a pleasant enough experience to give it another try.

Brought in 2 close friends to check out this place because they knew how much I had loved it the first time. The service was decent but the food was below standard. All the food dishes came out cold. Not sure if the servers work in a group or not but everyone was just standing around as our food sat there getting cold without helping our server. Our server was able to get all our food fixed and it all came out hot the second time around. What baffled me about this experience is if the cook or the server knows the food has been sitting there for a while, why would you bring it to the table? This

This place is ridiculously cute! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. They have really great margaritas too. One thing I think they can improve on is the salsa bar. It is self service which is not the problem. The problem is the super tiny cups they give you to use. They should use bigger cups because you have to get up multiple times to get salsa in the middle of your lunch. Other wise, I'm happy to come back to this place!

This place is horrible. Took forever for the food to come out (it was not busy) and not everyone got their food at the same time. The food was nasty and the rice is so gross. Prices are ridiculous and they charge you to pay with a card!! That’s part of bring a business, you don’t charge customers for that. Will never go here again

What a lovely little treasure. We just happened to be driving near by and wanted to try something new. With such lovely weather we truly enjoyed sitting outside on the lit patio. The indoor/outdoor bar was a nice touch that served such delicious drinks. Our entries were delightfully enticing with the best chips and bean appetizers. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

This place is different and I love it. It used to be old church so it's great inside. The food is delicious, a little pricey but good portions. And these margaritas were delicious. Next time I'll take pictures of the food. Had shrimp tacos...SO good. You go get your own varieties of salsas, which are really good. They charge you to use CC for payment and include the tip in the final bill, even though there were only 4 of us.. just double check the bill...

Everything we tried was delicious. I went a little overboard with the salsa selection which features some unique flavors including pineapple and hibiscus. I had the fish taco, shrimp taco and al pastor. I think I liked the shrimp taco the most. Guacamole and street corn were delicious. Tamarind juice was just right, not too sweet. I went early on a Friday night and I didn't have to wait too long however I tried to go on a Saturday and the wait time was 45 mins! They don't take reservations on weekends which is a bummer since this place is always busy and it's relatively small.

So in love with @casacorazonrestaurant. The gorgeous space that houses this fantastic taste of Oaxaca and Yucatán fare was lovingly refurbished from an old cottage into this bright and beautiful restaurant. Owner Jason Verdugo added the vaulted ceilings, tiled floors, and frescoed walls and made this a welcome addition to central phoenix.

Such a cute spot. We were a bit confused upon entering as you led in with a direct view into the kitchen. No problem at all though as we were pretty promptly taken to our table.
Our waitress was courteous, and brought water and menus directly. She left and returned with bean dip and a mixed color tin bowl of chips. The bean dip vs salsa was a new experience for my daughters. It was delicious and the chips were perfectly salted.
Ordered 2 Taco Al Pastor, Carne Asada Fries, Chiles Rellenos (Christmas style). Drinks; Agua de Jamaica y Horchata.

Amazing tasting food! In AZ it is really hard to find a great Mexican restaurant and I have to say that this one was one of the best here in Phx. Amazing from the chips and salsa, to the main entrees, then desert. I was blown away by how fresh and authentic the flavors were. Definitely my favorite place from now on. I can't wait to taste their alcoholic beverages.

Authentic - this is some of the best Mexican Food. The chicken Mole is incredible - and I mean incredible.
The journey starts with chips and beans. YEP - BEANS! I almost have to saw it again to believe it. There is an incredible salsa bar that shouldn't be missed...but BEANS!!!
We have had the Molca Jete bowl also. Incredible. I will try everything on the menu. One of my favorite spots on 16th st.

Lovely dinner! This restaurant is located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Phoenix. Fun fact: The restaurant itself used to be the chef's house!
To start, each table gets chips with a warm bean dip, which was amazing! On top of that, this restaurant has a salsa bar, which has so many different salsa flavors, some of which are unique like the Hibiscus Salsa we tried. How fun to try a salsa bar like this for the first time!
