Don't be thrown off by the unfamiliar roots and fruits! The Filipino flair on these treats are perfectly incorporated and enhanced. Every flavor tastes incredibly bright, fresh, and delectable. The texture is spot on, and your left with a smooth feel and no gristle. The butter creams are very smooth and some of the macarons like the white chocolate raspberry have an added fruit filing.

In 2014, Munch Bakery was born through an obsessive journey to make the perfect macaron with a Filipino flare. Little did the baker know that in her journey to conquer a traditional French cookie that she would find her own voice, breaking with Filipino and French traditions and melding the two into what she describes as "The Taste of LA".
All order are made to order and ship on either Monday or Wednesdays by USPS from Los Angeles, CA. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, we will refund the amount in full and send a replacement dozen. We are committed to our customers and making sure you are 100% satisfied.
Being a huge macaron fiend, I had Munch Bakery's macarons for my wedding. They were a big hit! Not only did I spend a good amount of time on the dance floor with macarons in my hand, people continuously asked me where I got them. Munch Bakery is just amazing! Mel's macarons are so beyond delicious and her flavors are so creative.
I love seeing someone take their first bite of my macaron. They're surprised by the delicate texture and unique flavor and usually offer the next bite to a loved one near by. I can watch that organic moment repeatedly with every new customer, as I'm reminded that this unique dessert is inspired by the beautiful cultures of LA.

I've never had a bad macaron but I know a good one when I taste one. Delicious and almost perfect texture. One of the best macarons around. I had to bear the rain to find this place in the farmers market on a Saturday morning. I got the caramel, vanilla, and green tea. None of them disappointed and all made the rainy trek worth it. Prices were that of an average macaron but quality was divine!

I purchased the Filipino flavored box as a birthday gift and was lucky that the recipient shared one with me. I had the Calamansi (Philippine lime), and it was delicious! I normally don't eat macarons because they are too sweet but this one had just the right amount of sweetness to be a treat but not so much where I felt the need to brush my teeth. It had the right amount of flavor - not too much so it's overpowering, but just enough to get the essence and make me want more. The dozen came in a nice gift box that I didn't need to wrap. Picked up a few macarons at the farmers market to try as I was considering ordering here for my wedding. I got the ube and sans rival flavor. The sans rival was delicious, the ube was good but had a strange texture... maybe because it is a unique ingredient/flavor? My mom tried both flavors and she liked them too. Overall, we were pleased.

Not only are her macarons delicious, but she makes amazing cakes!! We have been in quarantine so celebrating my son's first birthday was not going to be anything major but I knew I wanted to have a good smash cake for my son & my family of 4 to enjoy! Best decision ever! We are not big on sweet icing and the cream cheese icing is the perfect amount of sweetness. She made the cake exactly what I requested and it matched perfectly to my decorations. Highly recommend!

I met Melanie at the TORRANCE Farmers Market and was delighted to find so many tropical flavors of macaron to choose from and sample. She also always takes the time to give me tips on baking macaron at home, which I'm still struggling to master.
During the COVID19 shutdown, I saw that Melanie was donating yummy baked goods at her own expense to local hospitals. That makes me an even more loyal customer and I'm telling all my friends to order from her.

These are hands down the best macaroons I have ever had. I always stop and get a few whenever I'm at the farmer's market. I saw that they were offering contactless delivery right now, so I just had to buy some. The owner hand-delivered them and they were so beautifully packaged. They tasted amazingly fresh and flavorful. Definitely recommend!

We've been HUGE fans of Munch Bakery at the Torrance Farmers Market for years! Always make a point to grab (at least!) a half dozen every time we go. I knew they were amazing and customer service is always top notch but in the time of COVID-19 they hit it out of the park!!! I ordered online to have them shipped as a special treat to my 7 year old for Easter. Instead the owner personally delivered them in beautiful packaging with a hand written note to my daughter. She deemed it "The best Easter gift EVER!" which meant the world as it first Easter without extended family around. Thank

Melanie makes the best macarons. I do love that she makes Filipino flavors, especially my favorite: sans rival! If you haven't had sans rival, it's cashew flavored, and my favorite type of cake since I was little. She makes all the basic flavors as well if you're not in the mood for exploring, and it's a really great deal when you order in bulk for an event. She will even customize colors and packaging if needed. I will order as much as I can as often as I can. I just wish I didn't live so far.

Oh my goodness! That Nutella macaron!! Not only was that flavor obviously delicious, but it was everything a macaron should be - the crunch on the outside and the chew on the inside. Also, just the right amount of sweetness! And that was just a sample! After that, I knew I had to buy I few! I opted for the Sans Rival (Roasted Cashew), Cho Nut (Philippine Peanut Candy Bar) and Horchata. The Cho Nut stood out because of its true peanut flavor. But I have to say that the Hotchata was my personal favorite. Cinnamon and macarons just go so nicely together!

Stopped by because I heard they had macarons. They also provided samples to try! Prices are reasonable too... $2 each, or 6 for $11.50.
My husband and I tried them once we got home and we both thought they were very good. Will be back to try some other flavors next time I'm at the Farmer's Market in Torrance.
