Camp Cody
On the shores of Ossipee Lake, campers share fun, exciting and rewarding adventures with new friends -- some of whom they'll know for a lifetime. Pioneers are our youngest campers in the Cody family. For most, it's their first time at summer camp, which is why the Pio schedule is jam-packed with fun!

Juniors have everything they need for an amazing summer at Camp Cody: a cabin full of friends who are ready to have fun and embark on new, exciting adventures! Inters are the second oldest division at Cody. Inters have the freedom to choose more electives, pursue their passions and have the summer of their dreams.
Services
Here, campers are 110% taken care of. Our knowledgeable staff members are not only friendly, compassionate people, they are talented mentors who instruct and inspire. We know how to have fun like no one else. Cheer in the crowd, enjoy the lake, try new things and embark on unexpected journeys -- smiling and laughing all the while.
As directors, we appreciate the trust you place in us each summer, and we take our responsibility for your camper's experience very seriously. Accordingly, our primary focus is maintaining a safe and respectful environment that encourages both personal growth and creates an unforgettable summer experience.
Camp Cody is located in Freedom, New Hampshire on the shores of Ossipee Lake - two hours north of Boston, Massachusetts and five hours from New York City. Waking up to mist rising from a glass-like Ossipee Lake (perfect for early morning water-skiing), never ceases to amaze.

Our lakefront campus-that features a mile of private waterfront-is tucked away, surrounded by tall pines and natural beauty, with the White Mountain National Forest as our backdrop.Because of our easily accessible location, this incredible setting serves as the home-away-from-home for campers from all around the world.
Our cabins sit on the southeastern lakeside edge of the White Mountain National Forest, each housing about seven campers and three counselors. All of our cabins have electricity, fully-equipped bathrooms, and ample cubby room for belongings. If you haven't seen the bunks yet, our typical boys and girls cabins are featured on the 8th and 9th location in our virtual tour.
Campers eat buffet-style with their bunkmates and counselors at every meal and enjoy a large selection of yummy foods that will satisfy even the pickiest campers. We source a number of organic ingredients (including beef, chicken, and pork), dairy, eggs and produce from local farmers. This way, we support our local community and we are healthier too!

Camp Cody was my son's first sleepaway experience - in fact he hadn't ever spent more than a night or two without our family. He loved every minute of his 2.5 weeks last summer, wasn't homesick a single minute, and he is heading back for 4 weeks this summer. He will turn 10 while he is there! Cody is truly the most magical place for a kid.

Our daughter has attended Camp Cody twice. She loved every minute of her camp life. We were a bit concerned the first time that she would be homesick. But she quickly found friends and had a great time. In 2022, she is returning as a counselor in training.

Camp Cody is the best! Our 2 oldest boys went for the 1st time last summer. They had a blast! 100% they will be back this summer and they have even recruited a younger brother to join them. We look forward to having our boys enjoy many summers at Camp Cody and the fond memories and strong friendships they will take away from the experience. We highly recommend Camp Cody!

Camp Cody was an excellent experience for my daughter, a first time camper. She adored her bunkmates and has talked to them frequently throughout the year and her couselors were amazing. She went for 4 weeks and asked to go back for 6 this year. She was able to choose the activities that she wanted, and was able to switch if there was something she didn't like. She also loved the extra horseback riding! I will also be sending my son this year!

Camp Cody is just a happy place for kids of all ages! We've sent two children there, one for four years. Despite a different combination of kids each time, our kids simply love Camp Cody and can't wait to go back each Summer! Can't recommend it enough!

Our daughter attended Camp Cody last summer for two weeks and begged us to stay for another two before coming home. We've already booked next summer and she can't wait to go back. The camp has something for every child and the hardest part for our daughter was narrowing activities down to her favorites. She made friends last year that she still speaks with on a daily basis. Looking forward to another great summer.

My daughter has been to more than a few camps, but none has captured her imagination like Cody has. It is truly magical. The programming is so deep and wide, the natural beauty is stupendous, and the staff is incredibly professional. Even the food is great! Highly recommened.

We didn’t know what to expect when we discovered Camp Cody 3 years ago, but what we found is a magical place in a magnificent location where our 4 children grow, thrive, learn, play and enjoy a true childhood summer. Phil and Sheri Ross hire and care for the very best counselors who love what they do and share their passions with campers. We were worried about sending our 7 year old for 2 weeks last year. When we picked him up he asked if we knew that he could spend the rest of the summer at Cody if we said ok! The friendships my older kids have made and maintained are unparalleled. Highly recommend

No, we didn't go to Camp Cody for Sleep Away Summer Camp in October, but we DID go to Camp Cody as a very cool destination for a wedding!

We stayed overnight in one of their camper accommodations, walked the grounds to see the archery, tennis, basketball, soccer, and hockey venues, and stood in awe at the magnificence of Lake Ossipee.

The grounds are gorgeous, and we loved the different camp features that served as wedding venues- the big dining hall for meals, the wedding ceremony on the beach, the cocktail hour on the waterfront lawn, and the gala reception in the rec hall.

Our girls have been going to Camp Cody for five summers now and we can’t say enough good things! It is their favorite place to be and they stay in touch with the friends made there throughout the year…even traveling to see them from time to time. My older daughter served as a CIT (Counselor in Training) this year and as part of her teen leadership training, she even earned her lifeguard certification! Excellent, caring staff, wonderful facilities and activities and good communication with parents.
