Meet owners Julio Cesar and Aleyda Rodriguez. Aleyda's cooking career began at age 14 while helping her mother in the family kitchen in El Salvador. She soon discovered her passion for cooking traditional Salvadoran cuisine. In 2001, Aleyda came to the United States and started working in the restaurant industry.
She soon met her husband Julio. Their cooking skills flourished as they worked in many of the finer restaurants in Columbus. This passion for cooking and a strong work ethic turned into the dream that today is Ranchero Kitchen. The first iteration of Ranchero Kitchen was created as a shared space inside an international market.

The food is outstanding! Hand crafted and as authentic as it gets. Everything was fresh and delicious. I ordered Carne Asada, which was tender and full of flavor. Some places serve the dish with tough and gristly meat, but this was grilled to perfection. I don't normally eat the beans and rice on the side, but their beans were perfectly seasoned, full of flavor, and went great with the homemade corn tortillas. The rice was a pleasant surprise, with a kick. All of it was incredible!

This food is amazing, so be prepared to wait. They don't take reservations, so we showed up on Sunday to a large crowd. Once we got a table we did have to wait a bit for food, but oh my was it amazing!
Our preschooler LOVED the papusas! The kids meal comes with three mini papusas. I thought she might eat one or two. She ate all three chicken and cheese papusas! AND she said it was the best food she'd ever had.
We got a ranchero platter to try all kinds of different dishes, and we were just blown away.

Salvadorian Breakfast*Delicious
Very happy to find homemade pupusas, loroco flower & cheese, jalapeño & cheese and the pork are the three we tried; so good !
Their yuca frita with pickled veg & chicharrones was very delicious.
We had the salvidorian breakfast with beans, plantain, chorizo, egg & homemade tortillas and the hen and vegetable soup, which was comforting, delicious and enormous, lol !

I was in the area waiting for my sister to take her driving test and it was hot so we wanted to go in and use their restroom but it's for customers only so I figured why not see what's on the menu. I was greeted by a very friendly young lady.
The menu has some really good options and it's not overwhelming with a ton of combinations. The deluxe burrito jumped out at me but I'm always unsure what meat to get due to lack of seasonings. I asked the server which was her favorite meat and she said chicken which was my last pick. I also love chorizo but not if it's too spicy

This is a gem you don't want to miss! Tucked back between a BMV and a car dealership, you've gotta know it's there--but you will be rewarded with the most delicious Salvadoran food in the city! Pupusas, fried yuca, homemade juices, entrees--everything I've had is delicious. We've been doing takeout lately, but in-person service has always been friendly, if a bit leisurely. Absolutely recommend.

Ranchero Kitchen is a place many people drive by without realizing what they are missing. Nestled next to the dealership, this is a great find and a must-try top sample cuisine of El Salvador. There is definitely more nuance to Latin American cuisines than most Americans are aware of so sampling the dishes here was a great experience. Obviously the pupusas are the staple item. As a stuffed flat bread you can and should taste as many as you can stomach. They are remarkably easy to eat and pair quite well with pretty much any sauce or vegetables on the table. We ordered a wide variety and along pick

I am trying to consume less ground beef because my wife gonna kick my Butt if I don't
I decided to stop in here because I heard about it Just recently. I got the chicken salad. It was absolutely wonderful. This salad has such a dynamic flavor profile and is far from boring. I say that because most salads are extremely boring with very little flavor. I will be back on Saturday to have it again.

PUPUSAS...!!! They have pupusas...!!!
Not just any pupusas, but really good, really delicious, really authentic pupusas.
(If you're not familiar, a pupusa is a thick, handmade corn tortilla split down the middle and stuffed with meat and beans and cheese and deliciousness - you might think of it as an Ecuadorian hand pie.)
Ranchero Kitchen is a really nice, big, surprisingly pretty, very authentic Ecuadorian restaurant in an unassuming strip center on Morse road. (Hint: it's next door to the Ohio BMV).
Food is awesome. Service is very friendly. On the Saturday we were there, at least

Tonight after our ESL class, two of our students, originally from El Salvador, wanted to take my wife and me to Ranchero Kitchen for a celebratory meal as we begin our Christmas vacation.
The restaurant is Salvadoran and delivers a beautiful atmosphere; decor, wall hangings, and the beautiful, "República de El Salvador en la América Central" (The Coat of Arms of El Salvador).
We were greeted warmly by the hostess as we entered and taken to a large, comfortable table for the four of us.
A huge, colorful, decorated Christmas tree pulled our focus immediately and

A friend took us to this restaurant that is tucked beside the BMV on Morse Road. When I turned into the the parking lot I didn't see it at first!
Ranchero Kitchen was a wonderful find! And the food was a new and tasty adventure for my mouth!
The variety of food to choose from is great and the restaurant is made to look so homey! There is a fireplace and rocking chairs sitting in front of it. The Christmas tree is also set up in this area!
The staff was friendly and answered all of my questions about the food choices on the menu!
The sign outside says that it is a Latin food restaurant

I wasn't too incredibly hungry so I ordered 2 pupusas: chicken and pork. The chicken was phenomenal! Seasoned perfectly with the right amount of cheese. It was soft, with pockets of crunch here and there. Yum! While the pork was also good, I'd go for the chicken any day. Slaw and hot sauce came with them. Hot sauce was a cherry on top. The slaw was a tangy/vinegar sauce. I don't like tangy slaw in general, so I won't speak on it. The Horchata was pretty standard.
Service was friendly and efficient. A woman came around and greeted me in both Spanish and English and genuinely

Delicious comfort breakfast. How can you go wrong with Salvadoran breakfast tacos? I got the Salvadoran breakfast combo, which came with chorizo and egg scramble, fried plantains, refried beans, sour scream, queso fresco, and house made tortillas. The combination of everything together in a taco was delicious. The fried plantains were the best I've had. Coffee was delicious. The interior was cute. I liked the decor. Good service as well.

Ranchero Kitchen is great! It's a nice space with plenty of tables, and I've always gotten seated pretty quickly.
I've primarily stuck to the pupusas when I've been there because they're soooo good, but everything I've seen on other people's plates has looked great. My husband loves the tacos. I definitely need to go back and explore more of the menu, but those pupusas really call out to me.
