My name is Connie Curlett and I am a psychotherapist and certified coach located in Seattle's Madison Valley neighborhood. I approach my work with a unique blend of counseling and coaching to help move clients towards healing, discovery and empowerment. Although I am a nonjudgmental empathic listener, my style is also straightforward and interactive.
Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, sad or stuck? Are you unsure of what to do or where to turn? I can help you begin to move away from what you don't want and move toward the life you do want. Together we can identify the areas where you feel stuck or unhappy, and begin to move you towards healing and positive change.
We all grow up in families that have varying degrees of health. Some families have higher levels of dysfunction, while others may have only a few elements that they struggle with. As a result you may feel uncertain what healthy relationships look and feel like. Working together in relationship counseling, we can begin moving you towards healthier communication and interactions.
All couples experience highs and lows in couple life. What ultimately keeps a relationship strong is your ability to stay connected even when the times get tough. I use a combination of two researched-based approaches; Emotionally Focused Therapy and The Gottman Method. I am also a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and can offer you parenting support in conjunction with couples counseling.
Recovering from adultery and the other betrayals can cut deep and to the heart of a relationship. This shatters the once cherished sense of trust, safety and connection. Your relationship can survive, but in order to heal relationally and move past an affair, there are key elements that must exist and be nurtured within your couple hood.

Connie is a very professional, thought provoking and inspiring therapist! My company hired her to assist with helping key executives build better collaboration strategies by improving communication, trust and respect. Connie empowers each individual with tools to reach their full potential. Highly Recommend!

Connie did four wonderful webinars for our office on coping strategies during COVID-19. Each was focused on a different relationship (e.g., spouse, kids, elderly parents and living alone). All were very helpful, and well-received by all of our employees. They were all just the right length of time, so they did not overwhelm with too much information. I highly recommend Connie to help your group get through any type of crisis.

Connie is a wonderful counselor and advisor. She was very helpful for my wife and I. What I like most about her is that she has very practical advice that works very well. She is also an excellent listener and presents her thoughts and advice in a very skillful and readily understandable way. She is also efficient with one's time. Connie is definitely a gem of a counselor.

Connie Curlett is so courteous and helpful in the experience of your heartache in her individual sessions and her bi-weekly group sessions for only $20 -- a total bargain for your needed healing, perspective with others in like circumstances! I have attended several sessions with Conniefor the past few years and I always walk away with Connie's shared wisdom, and I reflect back and analyze the emotional abandonment we are feeling from someone we had relied upon, and how we pick ourselves up and find a new path in a healthful way around self-parenting, thanks to Connie's conversations! Thank you

Connie is a wonderful human being and this makes her a fantastic and so approachable therapist. She is able to put everyone at their ease and has a style that is sympathetic whilst being so crystal clear in her understanding and feedback. She takes the best of many schools of thought Emotional Focussed Therapy (EMF) plus the Gottman Institute, plus Brenee Brown plus her own magic. Professional, personable, approachable and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to see her again or recommend her to a friend.

Connie Curlett is an amazing therapist and has done so much good work for so many people. Every other week she hosts a divorce support group session where people of all walks gather in her office and share their stories and heal with each other. I have gained so much insight into these sessions that Connie expertly runs. She is such a giving person, and such a great listener. I read the negative review by someone a year ago, and this makes no sense because Connie Curlett has been gracious and helpful to both men and women and people of all races and I have never seen a hint of animus to anyone

Connie is an amazing therapist. She is engaging, thoughtful, and remembers everything you tell her. I am so happy I found her. She is so efficient that I expect my sessions will be over and I will be much happier much sooner than I originally thought. She is very thorough and I highly recommend her.

Connie is amazing! She is kind, patient, and very helpful. She explains the root of any issue in way you can relate and understand. If you're worried about not having a subject to talk about (this is what I was worried about) she is good at bringing up topics that will help and explain how to handle problems. Great counselor and great coach. Thanks Connie!
