2A Santa Barbara staple for a reason. You won't find a better "classic diner" style place. Huge portions and reasonable prices. Most popular during brunch time on the weekends, you might have to wait a bit to be seated, but it'll be worth it. This is your one-stop shop for comfort foods like pancakes, waffles, .

Cody's cafe was my favorite restaurant for many many years. The place I would stop at, even when I didn't live nearby for their delicious Popeye's omelet made with egg whites and served with their handmade blueberry muffin. Always consistent food, great service and a fun environment. I have now tried Cody's several times over the past few months in the hopes that I could find the consistency it held for many years. The food is still good. But the staffing shortage is quite pronounced. I arrived at 11:00 am on a weekday when the rush had yet to arrive. My food arrived around

Huge shout out to Cody's!!!! The food is great and highly recommend their breakfast but their staff held a pair of AirPods I left there (and didn't realize) for over a month and recognized me and returned them to me today. I had no clue they were their and someone could have easily pocketed them but no...these guys are awesome!

Found Cody's on Google planning a drive from Orange County to Big Sur. From me, it was exactly as expected. Cafe foo; my Omlette with tri tip was good, but not exquisite.
They were open at 7am, big win for a long drive. Several locals showed for door opening like a daily routine.
"Best eggs" from a 10 year old.
"Good French toast, make sure to mention that because good French toast is hard" from a 14 year old.
"Giant Pancakes" from an 8 year old.
There is outdoor seating and the inside restaurant was clean.
Service was friendly, but I will note it was not busy yet.

Oh my lordy Lord. Where to start... Well first off, I'm kinda based since I'm the owners grandson, but the food there; oh my GOD it's delicious. Their ranch there is ridiculously good, better than anywhere else you can get it. Recently I have been disappointed in restaurant fries lately, but Cody's completely outdoes them in every way. Their fries are hot and crispy, very flavorful, salty, and absolutely incredible with the ranch. I would honestly rate it more than 5 stars, but that's as high as it goes. Come here whenever you get the chance!

It was ok, good not great, not much atmosphere, but they do have a full bar. Hostess seated us at a dirty table with the check still on it which didn't get cleaned until we asked. Taking advantage of the full bar, I ordered an Irish coffee for this cold rainy day, but all I got was cold coffee with whiskey and whipped cream on top. Looked good but not even close to a real Irish coffee. But it was strong! My Cobb salad was a generous portion, but poor with bland chicken, cold limp toast, and thin, gray colored blue cheese dressing. On a high note, the tri tip sandwich was tender and we'll cooked

Our first time eating at Cody's even though we have lived in Santa Barbara for the last 20+ years. Because of COVID-19, we only patronize restaurants with outdoor dining. Felt safe at Cody's because there's plenty of outdoor tables with large umbrellas for sun protection. We both ordered the classic Eggs Benedict (choice of hash browns, fruit or potatoes) and it was delicious. Scarfed everything on the plate. Will now include Cody's on our list of rotating restaurants to patronize. Also, they serve cocktails which is always a plus.

Brunch for one. The food was delicious and plentiful so come hungry. Ended up taking the French toast home for later . Mimosa comes with a single service bottle of champagne. They only had orange juice and cranberry available which was a bummer. Outdoor seating was plentiful so easy to social distance, its located on the parking lot side which detracts from the vibe a bit but its great for people watching.

Fantastic comfort food and excellent service. Casual, cafe atmosphere. The patio seating is especially nice. Frequented by locals, but worth the visit if you are visiting. We went 2 days in a row during our vacation. Highly recommend the huevos ranchers with chile verde. Pancakes and cinnamon roll were delicious as well!

Affordable, good place for comfort food.
Cody's has been here for nearly 30 years. I see it as a fixture of 'Noleta.' I have memories of waiting in line on Sunday mornings as a child for breakfast. The morning wait is still prevalent but I see that as an honest testament to this restaurant's reputation.
This is a fast-paced restaurant with a lot of kitchen commotion and loud chatter from the customers at tables, clinking dishes and all. A true diner experience. I really love it, very Americana. This place is good for a solid cup of coffee and a hearty meal from their vast

Excellent! 5 stars on service, 5 stars on food. Came for breakfast on this misty Saturday morning, and this place was hopping. We were seated quickly. Angel was our server, and he was on it, very polite and hard working. I ordered an omelette, they were happy to add spinach, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, jack cheese and zucchini. Vegetables weren't cooked to oblivion the way some places do, these vegetables were nice and crisp tender. Also had the hash browns and English muffin. My husband had the huevos rancheros with chile verde, and a bloody Mary. The service was prompt, food came

Great service and friendly staff. I'm in town visiting a friend for the holiday weekend. Cody's is one of her dad's favorite restaurants. She had the tuna melt and I requested a patty melt that isn't on their menu - they made it and it was delicious with grilled onions!!! We both ordered mimosas which were served in a glass partially filled with OJ and a mini champagne bottle. Awesome Santa Barbara weather for outdoor dining.

Cody's was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy she recommended it to me. First of all the service is great. When you walk in every server you pass says Good morning to you. They are so kind and will help with whatever you need. Next the food! The food is so yummy! I love a good Biscuits and Gravy. However I am pretty picky about the gravy but Cody's has passed the test! I ate every last bite of my meal. My boyfriend got the Country fried steak and he loved his meal also. Our only complaint would be that the potatoes could have been fried a little longer. However, that is just

We were wanting to try out a new place yo have brunch and so glad we stopped here. We were seated really fast. No wait time and there is plenty of seating. You can be seated outside, inside, and at the bar. Perfect for a large group or just 1 person. The waiter was super friendly and very aware if we needed anything. Our order came out about 10 minutes to 15 after we ordered. Prices are great for the food and alcohol beverages.
