The Golden Olive
Established in 2014, The Golden Olive is a family-owned, casual restaurant featuring classic Mediterranean food that we make from scratch every day using the freshest local ingredients. We take pride in offering flavorful rotisserie meats for our popular gyro sandwiches. We also offer marinated lamb, chicken, or beef shawarma.

The meat is sliced thin and served hot in a soft pita topped with tahini, hummus, pickles, and onions. Popular vegetarian dishes include our tasty falafel sandwiches and grape leaves stuffed with aromatic rice and vegetables. The classic Greek salad is topped with a zesty garlic sauce, crumbled feta cheese, and of course, kalamata olives.
Services
Traditionally, Mediterranean dishes are best when shared with others, and they can turn your next event into a memorable feast. We offer a catering menu that includes wrapped sandwiches for convenient office gatherings to plated meals for a special occasion. Mix of garbanzo beans, parsley, spiced and fried.

I’ve been coming here for a long time, and every meal is a 10/10. Fresh, flavorful, just so incredibly delicious. Also, their garlic sauce is SO GOOD! Also very friendly staff!

We got a gyro salad and a falafel salad, both were delicious. We walked in and placed our takeout order and it was ready in under ten minutes. Front staff was friendly, food was great, awesome bang for the buck.
Easy 5 stars.

Great, fresh food for a good price. Ive ordered here for large work events and for personal use and they're consistently great.
Recently we ordered their Greek Fries, a Chicken Gyro salad and a Chicken Shawarma. It arrived quickly, the servings were very generous, well spiced and fresh. - would recommend!

Absolutely love this place. Delivery is super fast and they stay open later than most businesses. Food is delicious and I really appreciate vegan options. Definitely a go-to for a great meal.

One of our go-to takeout places in Seattle. The Greek fries, falafel, Gyro sandwich, and lamb kabab are always fantastic and a staple in our house. Love the guys who work there as well. They're always friendly, efficient, and no-nonsense.

This place is good if you just want some quick Mediterranean food. I got the vegan mix wrap with fries. The wrap had fried cauliflower and falafel in it, which was pretty good. The fries weren't my favorite, but they got the job done.

Ordered once, a subpar quality. Decided to give them a 2nd chance. Food quality was really bad: dry pita, unwashed & not fresh salad, dry meat that was likely reheated from a couple of days ago. Went directly into the trash.

The bottom line: stay away. This place is getting worse based on my experience.

This review is based on take-out

Order process was standard and delivery through Grub hub went according to plan. Packaging was good and included utensils.

I ordered a chicken kabob plate plus lentil soup. The soup was just right on a rainy Seattle day. The soup flavor was mild and about right in my opinion. Sometimes restaurants add garlic or lemon that is too strong.

The plate consisted of salad with yogurt dressing, hummus, pita and chicken on rice. Flavors were great and again leaned to the mild side on spices. I have only one concern and that is: a few if my chicken pieces were undercooked

I ordered the lamb sandwich to go. When I got home, the very first bite had a black hair on the lamb. Minus 1 star for that. Sure hope they'll start wearing a hair net or something to keep loose hairs out.
Other than the unexpected hair, my food tasted delicious. Had a separate plate with falafel balls & humus which were just right.

This is a lovely spot for a fresh and warm plate (even through takeout)- and halal too! We tried the gyro plate (lamb and beef mix) and chicken gyro plate - both come with rice, Greek salad, tzatziki and warm pita. Would recommend both but I found myself partial to the classic gyro plate! The baklava (walnut) here is also *so good* - definitely on the sweeter side but delicious nonetheless.
Thank you also to the owner for being so helpful and patient while we ordered!

My group meandered here while visiting the needle and then walking around. It's very clearly a hole in the wall amidst a whole it of other similar holes in the wall types of places.

Pretty much everyone got a gyro sandwich. The portions were generous and prices reasonable. The food didn't look special on the surface but damn did it hit the spot. They have a creamy sauce the load into the sandwich (served on pita) and it really is the secret sauce to this food.

Definitely recommended. It does just to hole in wall status!

Things were doing so well at first, kind of. Let's just say the food tastes great and the prices are on par with other quick Indian joints. It's fairly clean and inviting inside.

First, when I opened the box I noticed well prepared food, but in my lamb was small buts of something else. This didn't bother me, but I'm not used to seeing this happen.

I guess the thing that bothers me is part way through eating I noticed a few very small bits of hard stuff. Not too large or hard to be too concerned. Well after about 2 more bites after noticing the hard stuff I got a slightly

This is my go-to spot for all things kabob, sharma and gyro's. I've been coming here regularly for the past 2 years (only been in Seattle that long). I've liked just about everything here.
Gyro - super packed full of yumminess and great flavor all around.
Kabob entree - my favorite is the chicken though the other ones are good too. I find that the chicken is really moist and flavorful and love the whole package.
Lentil Soup - yummy!
Fries - great side.

The prices and portions are great as well. All around excellent spot for dining in or for taking out. Fast and delicious. Highly

I was craving mediterranean food this evening and found this place close by. I have been to a lot of places with similar menu offerings but this place stands out in the flavours and compositions for all dishes. A humble restaurant with very decent prices. I’ll describe my dishes in detail
I had a chicken kabob plate. The pita was freshly made, amazingly soft and not at all stretchy. The chicken was juicy and grilled to perfection. Its not easy to cook chicken perfectly but it hit the mark. Rice were cooked appropriately and flavoured right to balance out. The hummus was perfectly creamy garnished

Didn't want to leave our hotel room for dinner so I looked for a delivery restaurant that was relatively close. The Golden Olive looked like the best choice and I hadn't had Greek food in a while.

This was my first time ordering delivery through grubhub and I was pleased with the service except for the $30 in extra fees.

The whole order was correct even with the changes we made in the comment boxes.

The food on the other hand wasn't as great. Sadly, I feel obligated to compare this restaurant to other Greek places and it just doesn't compare. The flavors weren't doing

We really like this restaurant. The food was outstanding. we tried the gyro, the gyro plate, fries, and baklava. we had carry out and it didn't take them long to prepare. The restaurant's not located in the best part of town. however I highly recommend a visit!

This place serves the best falafel ever - be it a sandwich or a falafel salad, the falafel has a smooth texture and tastes amazing. I love their garlic cheese french fries on the side too! Same story for hummus and pita in the falafel plate! But that's all falafel. I also tried their Vegan sandwich which wasn't good at all - almost tasteless (hence one star less).

The portions are generous. Staff could be more friendly, but I appreciated the precautions they took - servers were wearing masks and gloves, and they had sanitiser available in case you forget bringing your own. The place

I wanted to try some of the Mediterranean eateries in Seattle so I went to The Golden Olive for lunch. I went w/ their beef shawarma plate & greek fries. The beef shawarma plate consists of marinated grilled beef, tomatoes, onion, green pepper served w/ hummus, rice, Greek salad, & pita. While the Greek fries consist of garlic sauce & feta cheese.

Believe it or not, I've never had Greek fries before which was the main reason why I wanted to try Mediterranean food, so it was the first thing I went for. Taking the first bite I loved the flavor of the simplistic combination of garlic

Best Greek I’ve tried in Seattle so far.
Greek fries 5/5 so garlicy and good
Babaganoush 5/5 Sooo good!
Gyro 5/5 - needs more sauce but very flavorful meat, perfect pita. Great amount of meat.
Plate 4/5 - salad was pointless iceberg lettuce & lots of/mostly rice.
Falafel 3/5 kind of small. Not a lot of seasoning, mostly parsley. My homemade are always better but so much work :(
Would definitely return. Most things were good!
