Gokul Cafe is Indian vegetarian cuisine at its finest and most authentic. But our authenticity goes well beyond just the food; it permeates our entire restaurant to provide you with the closest feeling to actually eating in India without ever leaving Columbus. We offer a wide variety of cuisine, both North and South Indian, ranging from dosas to chaats.
Our food is made from only the finest ingredients and made fresh. After eating our food, you will keep wanting more.

Services
Gokul is believed to be the city where the beloved Krishna spent his childhood. It is the idyllic place where Krishna would steal butter and dance with the Gopikas. Gokul still exists in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is significant for us since our Gokul aims to be just as colorful as Krishna's life was at his Gokul.
Add flavour to your social gatherings & spice it up a notch with our Indian Platters customized to suit your needs. Amaze your guests with on the spot dosas or uthappams, rain or shine. And cater to the sweet tooths with amazing deserts such as falooda or gadbad for your guests. Always a crowd-winner, our dishes will surely make a lasting impression at any of your get-togethers.

Gokul is a Vegetarian Restaurant and has the best Vegetarian/Vegan options in Columbus OH. The owner himself is present always and is very friendly. I had the best sambhar after a very long time. I would give more stars if there were. Go to Gokul and enjoy their delicacies. Great Family friendly place to enjoy Good tasty Indian food.

We were delighted to have Gokul Café cater our wedding this fall, and we give them our strong recommendation. With just a few months’ notice, the owner helped us to put together menus for two buffet meals – a North Indian-inspired meal and a South Indian-inspired meal. Both meals hit the mark – not too oily or spicy, but full of flavor. Our guests from all backgrounds shared with us how much they enjoyed the food, and we did as well.
What impressed us most was how smoothly and professionally everything went on the day of our wedding. The food arrived promptly and was set up efficiently

They have nice all Indian starters, chats, dosas and main courses. They have big area for the sit outs and dedicated place for buffet. They do have party hall for small function containing 25-30 people. The food is good and tasty. If you are vegan you should try. I gave 4 star because you can’t force people to choose their restaurant and choose what they want to eat.

Sorry to say it but I kinda knew I wouldn't love the food. A friend had already told me it was only okay.
We got a few things to share: coconut rice, a children's sized dosa, and lentil donuts. The rice was fantastic! The dosa was good too.
The lentil donuts? Unfortunately they were RAW. It looked crispy and cooked from the outside but when you bit into it? It was just uncooked dough. Wow.
I will say that they do have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Actually they don't serve meat here at all i don't think.
Honestly, I'd still come back and try something else

This is my go to vegetarian restaurant in Columbus. It is also vegan friendly as they have marked vegan/vegan option dishes in the menu.
I love their spicy andhra style masala dosa. The andhra spice chutney in this dosa has a controlled level of spiciness with a touch of tanginess. The sambhar is a bit too watery to my likeness but nonetheless tastes good.
Apart from the dosa that I eat most of time, I also like their lunch buffet. Have only had the buffet during the COVID times so the buffet menu is limited but not too short to not to be called a buffet. Also, due to the COVID restrictions

We enjoyed a great buffet lunch today. The staff all wear masks and social distancing is in force. The staff make plates for you. Wow!! It was absolutely delicious! There was a sweet potato curry that was just amazing! And the mung dal was some spicy goodness. They brought us some lovely sweets to enjoy with the meal. They were all delicious. I especially liked the fennel sweet wrapped in a leaf at the end of the meal. I love fennel seed, so this final bite was right up my alley. My husband and I were vegetarians for many years, so this was a nice visit back to that world. Delicious...

This is one of my favorite South Indian restaurants in Columbus. My husband and I drive 30 minutes to come here because I know I’ll always be able to have authentic South Indian food that tastes just like my parent’s cooking. We’ve always been treated with kindness from the servers and owner and have had great service. We recently went to Gokul for lunch and had some yummy uthapams. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try Indian food or looking for the comfort of home cooked food.

My family and I went there for my birthday. First off my family and I are not vegans or vegetarians. I picked this restaurant to try because of all the food review shows I watched on you tube. If you are a foodie, you for sure have watched these shows and follow Mark Weins, Best review show and Strictly dumplings. On these shows they visit India and eat Pani Puri and Dosa. The way they've described it made me go out and find restaurant in my area that sell those types of food. Since of course we can't travel to India due to quarantine.
I had to look up restaurant that sold pani puri

Food was really delicious!!! All vegan and vegetarian options ! Easy to order and pick up. Dining room is open also but buffet is currently shut down. Would have been five stars but the front of the house was very unorganized and the owner was on the phone yelling at someone the entire 10 mins I was waiting in the lobby. Overall great choice for good vegetarian Indian food!

Best dosa in town. Best samosa anywhere. Best rasam soup you'll find. We also had paneer and puri and naan and the speciality cashew curry. All were excellent.
Portions are large so ask for guidance, or be prepared to need doggy bag.
We dropped in for dinner. The owner visits tables and he's warm, and conversational, and generous. There's an obvious pride in the quality of the dishes, and in celebrating healthy vegetarian food. We asked for recommendations and every course was a delight.

I love this place. Clearly in my opinion, the best vegan Indian restaurant on the northwest side of town. The service is amazing, food is fresh and authentic. They even use almond milk by request in their mango juice.
The okra dish is amazing along with the fresh fried jalapenos.
Recently I went there for takeout, and during my wait, the owner gave me a complimentary drink on the House.
Great food!

This was our first visit to this Indian food cafe. I had a Groupon that I wanted to use and it was a good chance to try a new place. We went for dinner on a Saturday night. We were seated in a booth and had wonderful service. The dining room was half full. There were a few families with young children, with a tv tuned to Daniel Tiger (a personal favorite).
This is a vegetarian restaurant, and says so on the exterior window. My husband was somewhat disappointed he couldn't get his usual Chicken Tikka Masala, but he dealt with it by ordering a spicy alternative dish. I ordered my usual
