Body Fundamentals is a private boutique Pilates and Wellness studio located in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, Arizona.* Founded in Denver in 1996, the studio offers one-on-one and semi-private Pilates equipment and mat sessions in a peaceful, encouraging, exclusive setting. Beginner to advanced and instructor level sessions are ongoing.

When you walk into Body Fundamentals, you just know you've entered a place with experience and undivided attention and care to you and your health. It is my experience that clubs and groups want the highest number of attendees to make their metrics and numbers. So you definitely feel like you are a part of a metric. You may gain a friendship over repeated attendance, but the core focus of trying to gain health, movement, rehabilitation any of that is lost to the needs of the numbers. You are part of the demographic. At Body Fundamentals, the demographic only seems to be those looking to be well

Body Fundamentals keeps me fit and slim and I am 68! The instructors, whom I admire, respect, and adore, also challenge my body and help me shape it the way I want. At the beginning of each session, my instructor asks how my body is feeling and if there is anything I specifically want to work on that day. My fiancé says I am in the best shape of my life! And I feel that way as well! Who can ask for anything more?!

I live in New York and when I visit family in Tucson I always take a class here. I've taken multiple types - chair quartet and mat work as well as reformer work. Every class is a different and wonderful experience. Because the classes are so small, the lovely instructor Stevie is able to attend to each person individually, helping with balance, posture, and technique. As someone who typically does high intensity training and heavy cardio, I've taken what Stevie has taught me and incorporated multiple techniques into my own workouts that has only furthered my strength and endurance all around. Geneviève is not only an exceptional teacher but an expert in her field and I am grateful to have participated in the “Learn to Manifest through Meditation” workshop this past weekend. Geneviève introduced the group to simple tools and daily practices for intention setting and I learned how to move past my intention to help manifest my deepest desires. The guided mantra meditation helped quiet my mind and I am confident that whatever obstacles I face in my daily life, I now have the tools to manage them with a new kind of knowledge and insight. I've been learning Pilates from Geneviève and Stevie at the Body Fundamentals studio for nearly ten years now and plan to continue for many years to come. I initially came to the studio after having surgery and they skillfully helped me regain my strength and balance so that now I am able take private or semi private lessons at least once, sometimes twice a week and feel the progress every session! The instructors at Body Fundamentals really know what they are doing! They have helped me regain strength following the birth of my child, as well as after a long illness. I always leave feeling relaxed and knowing I got a great work out- they find muscles I didn't even know I had! I recommend them often to patients following illness or injury for rehab purposes, as well as to friends looking for a great strengthing exercise regimen. I can't say enough good things about Body Fundamentals!

Pilates Chair Quartets at Body Fundamentals - part of my weekly exercise! Highly recommend this private Tucson Pilates studio for original, custom-created small group classes (no cookie-cutter, no masses). It blows my mind how quickly I started seeing results from using the Wunda Chair (& there's mat work, too). Genevieve's incredible background goes sooo much deeper than many & it shows in the careful class development and personal attention.
