A natural diamond's creation began around 100 miles below the Earth's surface. I was looking to get a verbal identification on a few of my late grandmother’s rings….and I got so much more. Besides identifying which gemstones were diamond vs synthetic, Joseph also educated me on gemstone cuts, such as diamond styles that were common in early 20th century…and why a particular cut was highly unlikely to be diamond. The whole experience was professional and valuable. I would highly recommend Villarreal for gemstone identification and jewelry appraisals.

Malcolm over in Villarreal really out did himself. This has been the best experience I have ever had with a jeweler. He was so very kind and courteous. Made all the accommodations we asked for. He loves this job and it just makes the diamonds shine even more. He puts that passion to work for you because he cares that much. He carefully inspected my grandmothers weeding band and found that the prongs were worn from the many years it had been. We had a wonderful experience creating a custom engagement ring with Malcolm. My partner proposed to me with my mother's diamond ring, a lovely family heirloom.
