What we will do for love will always be far more powerful than what we will do for money. What we can do together will always be far greater than what we can do alone. And when we cultivate the heart of giftivism within ourselves, our companies and our communities, we begin to unleash our true prosperity.
There are a number of items we would love to have at EBMC that would make our home even more warm, efficient, and accommodating. If you are able to donate an item on our Wish List or if you have an item you think we may be able to use, please contact Cassandra Shaylor, Development Director, to confirm donation and arrange drop-off of items.
You pay none of the capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the stock. You receive a tax-deduction equal to the full, current value of the stock, and EBMC receives 100% of the value of the stock. The stock transfer is handled between your and our account institutions, not between you and EBMC directly.
A planned gift is a meaningful way in which you can help ensure that EBMC will continue to foster liberation, personal and interpersonal healing, social action, and inclusive community building for many years to come. There are a number of options for leaving a legacy - the most common is naming EBMC as a beneficiary in your will, life insurance, retirement account or similar trusts or annuities.
It has been over a year since the murder of George Floyd spurred a reinvigorated effort to bring the principles and practices of racial equity to our sanghas and our lives. While many have had some success, many of us report disappointment at the progress we have made. This course is designed as an online facilitated community inquiry to support and energize sanghas and dharma practitioners seeking to create equitable, inclusive communities.

Best place to connect to engaged practice and self-sustainable economic business models happen in real time. During the Pandemic they offered classes and meditations online. Offer metta.

Everything is online due to COVID 19. They've figured out Zoom, and as much as a place can be virtually warm and welcoming, EBMC is all that.

Since shelter-in-place began, I've been attending EBMC's POC Sangha. It's a balm for my soul. So grateful for this lovely community.

One of the most welcoming places I have been a part of. Gift economy based. Meditation and yoga on Thursday are my favorite to be a part of.

A safe and peaceful place for Insight Meditation Mindful Movement and Community. It is worth all the work to get there, including limited parking. Check out the many options for different teachers and inclusive groups that welcome people of Color and members of the LGBTQ community.

A very welcoming space. I had a great meditation here and they had an informative dharma talk that was digestible and beneficial. Just wish they had more open meditations.

Dr. Doerr is a caring, careful, and compassionate mediator. I am a Legal Document Assistant in Oakland and I recommend Dr. Doerr to my clients when they need assistance coming to an agreement in their divorce matter. I recommend his services very highly, and my clients are always grateful when they work with him.

Great community based meditation center. Diverse, committed to social justice, run on gift economy, and community led. Great for beginners as well as seasoned meditators. A community gem and thankful to the founders of this special place.
